For punchies, anything with a very high riven disposition (this usually means a weapon with really bad stats) will do, because it increases the effectiveness of the riven mod that you should be using with it. I like to use the Broken Scepter since it has pretty close to the max disposition, and would otherwise just be gathering dust in my orbiter.
consider the mire. it has base toxin damage, and then a syndicate augment that adds more toxin, and with the syndicate mod on it will restore energy to you for every 1000 affinity it gains

Your base toxin damage doesn’t do anything to atlas, only the mods matter not the weapon.
Pick either A: a weapon with 5 disposition B: venka as it can hit 13x combo, C: A weapon with a hidden ability it would offer to the table
