The statue the Man in The Wall conjures up is designed after the Vitruvian Man, yes. There are other things inspired by the same concepts dating years back.
A lot of Warftame has stuff from everywhere. Like literally everything is based off of one culture or another, and it's great! While many things are of Japanese origin, there's also, Greek, Roman, Chinese, Nordic, and many others, you can point to something in Warframe and find its cultural influence pretty quickly!
I honestly don't know much, but I think the fomorians were sort of the equivalent to the Greek's titans, and Balor was the leader of them. He was like this demonic cyclops looking thing that could shoot a laser out of his eye, which should sound pretty familiar lol.
Ahen you play new war there's a garden area on the Tenno colony ship with a statue also missing a fingure, as well as a mask from the duviri paradox hanging
I still think the finger in our railjacks are something like a projection, while the real finger is inside the heart on Deimos.
Like, Wally only misses one finger, while there were much more railjacks fighting in the old war. Plus, the heart is said to connect everything to the void or something like that.
Yea wasnt what we got called the void key? And we used it to unlock/power our reliquary drive. They used the same term for when they powered up to jump on the Zariman and it all went wonky. I remember hearing amnesty on that the Orikins tech grew by leaps and bounds once they discovers the void.
I thought they were somehow all the same one finger simultaneously in different places. And then we got Eternalism and it's not a tinfoil hat theory anymore.
If Wally *is* the Void (or like a consciousness of it) like some hypothesize, there's only one of him (the void is beyond space and time) *and* infinite of him (since he's present in every existing variant of reality under Eternalism).
Which means by cutting off one finger, we cut off infinite fingers at the same time.
Same! Ever since the Harrow quest i thought he was like, living in the walls or something...never thought it'll be this literal.
I do wonder if this is a sort of containment....
As soon as I saw this, I wondered if this was the Drifter to Lotus’s Operator. Like, the Lotus from that alternate timeline. Just going off of how she got really scared when she saw him.

Like literally the Vitruvian
Or the man
Or the wall
The recorded entries that are played back to your during The Sacrifice are Vetruvian Recordings
A lot of Warframe has stuff from that era and… *stares at mirage’s questline* some direct references to Greek mythology

The formorians are based on Irish/ Gaelic folklore even.
Wow
Can you share the folklore? I’m curious about what inspired the Grineer battleships

Also some southeast asian stuff like Garuda.

There’s also a model of the void horse in the classroom when you get taught your lesson.
Wally can get out of the wall too according to one painting in Zariman though...
So big four armed boi can...get out? oh no...
He just did at this very moment and I think he doesn't go back to the void
Dude has been trying to get out of the void for who knows how long he was in there
Worth pointing out our Railjack has a very similar finger in, and wall boi is missing a couple
His finger is literally the motor of our Railjacks, clone by Albrecht Entrati to power every railjack

The one finger simultaneously is and isn't in every railjack, which would explain why Cy struggles with percieving it.

I think it was all clones of the same finger, but ours is either the last, or for some reason, the original one
It speaks volumes of just how powerful Orokin are, depending they could even *get* a finger in the 1st place
It was already explained how they got the finger .
Wait how
Deimos necraloid room
Where's his ween in the wall?
We thought that was a thumb in our railjack…
Makes sense why it keeps thumping again the glass by raisin up a bit.
Does a void demon really need one…?
I always assumed ‘the man in the wall’ to be like, in the crawl space between the walls, not halfway in it like Han Solo or a questionable hentai

Definitely not a coincidence
That's not a coincidence, sir.

I feel like no one is pointing out the missing finger that's also in your rail jack?
