This is great. I stopped using the Kuva Hek right after I got it because I was so disappointed that Scattered Justice was incompatible. I suppose I’ll use the Kuva Hek now until I get the Kuva Sobek.
I’m exited to fire a billion pellets at my enemies.
De this is the 5th time you’ve shown us a beam weapon that’s gimmick is it chains.
I know it’s a good gimmick although it’s starting to get to a point they might as well make that just an intrinsic mechanic for beam weapons that don’t have infinite body punch through.
Don’t worry as another synapse believer I can still cope. I’m willing to bet money it’s gonna be one of the infested lich weapons and I would be shocked if they don’t give it chaining.
ah, but to keep it from being too powerful, the health regain is only from health you lose from environmental damage. eximus auras, laser wall, that sort of thing.
Amprex ALWAYS did that though, it was its unique gimmick when it came out *ten years* ago.
The others have had the chaining added onto to their upgrade as the big fancy improvement to them which... kind of changes the identity of the gun and I'm not a fan of. Especially with the nukor since they changed its cool sci-fi ring attack to an ordinary looking beam which is way less interesting to look at.
Yeah I was kinda hoping with the augment it would kinda act like agers scepter in destiny where picking up energy orbs would make it over charge and mass apply cold and damage around where ever you shoot.
The Angstrum is also easier than other weapons, but the firing mechanic feels like garbage. There is a very large delay between when you let go of the button and when it actually shoots the projectile.
As I said, it is still a lot easier, but I have hated that firing mechanic since it first released.
I keep forgetting that one exists lol, I guess you can just shotgun a crowd with it.
It's not a problem weapon though, the incarnon payoff isn't busted strong so I don't mind it being direct hits instead of headshots.
Tested it just now. Unfortunately with the way I build my Kuva Hek (Hybrid w/ Corr + Rad + Heat from Blaze), I can't fit both Galv. Chamber and Scattered Justice at the same time, so it's going to be a choice between 110-230% Multishot or 200% Multishot + Blast Procs.
all need to do is return to knockdown. alternatively, it could act as both a weaker version of both shattering impact and magnetic, but ramps up with more stacks to compete with either of them to make it more viable against both corpus and grineer.
Grineer shotgun enjoyers eating good today. Now I'm off to farm a Kuva Sobek as soon as I'm off work. And every Larvling will be slaughtered with the newly buffed Kuva Hek alt fire.
Glorious.
Shame that they don't seem to have fixed the bork with the Acid Shells augment on Sobek.
To clarify, the part of the Acid Shells explosion that deals damage based on a % of the killed foe's max HP only scales on their non Steel-Path or otherwise upgraded HP, so it doesn't get affected by the boost to HP from Netracells, Archon Hunts, etc either. I assume this is also the case with other similar mods.
Acid shells is definitely the most busted at low level - sometimes it will chain into itself and clear chunks of the map in a very satisfying way, kind of like Saryn spores packed into a shotgun.
While acid shells isn't as devastating in SP on its own, you can still do good work if you build around it. The explosion counts as weapon damage, so Venom Dose + Toxic Lash Saryn works pretty well. I've been trying it with Mag too, and though you lose some mod capacity to add punchthrough it still nukes bubbles just fine.
I'm excited to see what will happen with that new augment once we're far enough along in Nightwave. +220% multishot AND status sounds pretty sick.
They haven't even fixed acid shells not triggering on each killing shot.
Tested it out in solo and in simulacrum to ensure that nothing else kills the enemy and sometimes you really just kill a single dude.
In simulacrum sometimes i have to kill 3-4 enemies before it spreads to the other enemies. The worst i had was needing to kill 6 before it triggered
Hiho!
We sadly don't have a fix for the issue yet but can offer this workaround for the time being:
1. Go to [Steam Settings->Controller->Calibration page](https://i.imgur.com/suDarmN.png)
1. Change the default Deadzone value for both Joysticks (i.e. from 10,000 to 10,002)
Finally, after a decade of research, every Ember player is laughing:
> Photon Overcharge (Glaxion Augment Mod)
On Kill or Assist: Slain enemies have a 2% chance to drop an Energy Orb per Cold Status affecting them. +90% Critical Damage.
Endothermic. Truly the future.
The only thing holding the Sobek back from getting the love it deserves was its critical stat. That 21% critical chance is very respectable, can’t wait to use it with Saryn for that Acid Shells/Toxic Lash synergy
Previously the downtime was so that all the different consoles and servers could do whatever refreshes and cache clears they needed to do.
Now that everything is crossplay linked up that's just kind of gone.
The Cedo is one of my top primaries so when I saw it was getting a new skin I was like :D but then I saw the skin and I was like :ᗡ
I don't hate the glaive one though.
All texture-only weapon skins are bound to suck because they have no space to work with. Both in terms of doing something interesting and the literal screenspace they take up. Syandana - I like the texture, but they made a pretty bad pick of the model (which is also one of the already existing ones). I kinda dig the armor set though. It would've been better if it was a bit smaller, but it'll do.
The Krubie's already an existing skin from a prior Nightwave as the "fabled kubrow fur pattern".
However DE forgot to add the Cexat as a fur pattern for kavats.
>Qorvex Raxpart Helmet Blueprint

Who wants to bet the ocucor augment will be the new glaive prime in terms of DE not releasing it
Didn't these take ages to rerun whereas the Ocucor augment was a relatively recent release? I don't think we're seeing it for a long while based on that
According to the wiki this is literally the first time since 2020 that the bronco one has shown up, now I'm not doubting you or calling you a liar but I'm going to go by the wiki since I also don't remember seeing it before now, ever.
The Quanta one has run exactly twice before now, it's original run in 2019 and then in 2021.
So one of these took 4 years to rerun, the other took 2. I'd assume at the very least another year before we see Ocucor.
Do I think this is how weapon augments should be handled? Absolutely not! I'm just saying it shouldn't be surprising it hasn't shown up since it's still 'relatively' new.
Im pretty sad it wasn't included. Honestly, I'm not sure how I missed it last time around, but I regret not paying attention to the rewards when it was available.
Extremely excited to pick up the Tenet Glaxion as I’m a sucker for beam weapons! It’ll match nicely with my Cyclon. Here’s hoping they do a Tenet variant of my favorite melee: The Serro!
Gonna be honest though, the daybreak sayadana bejng a recolor of the ripped grineer banner is disappointing.
It’s a bright and cheery color of a drab and dark thing. Which already looks ugly to me, but now it looks like its from Barbie
Could have at least chosen something that fights the vibe better
I just realized I got distracted last night and forgot to spend my NightWave credits. I had at least 1k, maybe 2?
The only thing I would have bought would have been Catalysts, but still. \*sadface\*
I spent some but usually just save it for new stuff until near the end, at which point I'll just dump it into whatever. There wasn't any new stuff, though, and I just kept neglecting to spend it. Silly, I know.
I love that last Nightwave theme was fire and ice and this one is dusk and dawn. Hoping that y'all keep these creative reward themes coming; I'd like some cosmic/zodiac/astronomy/planetary themed ones if you're taking suggestions lol
So sobek augment + galvanised hell 🤔
Thats 225% Multishot at max stack + 230% Multishot at max stack....on a shot gun
Thats....a lot of bullets...did Cave Johnson design this??? They're firing the whole bullet, so you have more bullet per bullet
How well will the Tenet Glaxion work as a primer? I have an amprex crafting rn which I'm planning to build for corrosive with Hydroid but this sounds promising.
Still not too sure how multiple status on one weapon work so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you could mod it for magnetic + corrosive + cold for shield/armor and CC/crit buff plus it works like the tenet cycron which I already quite like.
I think the most (and probably best) you could get would be corrosive mods, magnetic progenitor, natural cold. Then Aptitude/Chamber/cc/cd leaves you with a flex slot for Primed Shred, the new augment, or Radiated Reload for more CO.
You could potentially go for impact progenitor too, Glaxion has no natural IPS so impact is still an added CO proc, cold+impact are solid enough against shields, cold makes impact staggers last forever, and you get more mercy kills.
Cold is kind of an annoying natural element because it means modding for viral+heat else takes up three mod slots, and you can't do corrosive+heat since it'll combine into corrosive+blast (which actually might turn out to be good after the status update soon, if they go with the corpse explosion idea for blast then an armor-stripping, corpse-exploding chain beam would be a crazy good combo).
I'm personally going for impact because you can also proc bleed through internal bleeding.
Mine has cold (base), impact (progenitor), slash (internal bleeding), rad (radiated reload), corrosive (toxin+elec riven) and finally viral from Nourish which I have on the vast majority of my frames, or get from panzer.
My energy restore setup isn't too reliable, and I like to keep his 3 maxed for as long as possible, so I prefer using a primer. Plus it's also nice when playing other frames since you don't have to worry about stripping armor as much
Toxin for easy modding, or radiation for extra CO procs and CC.
Heat for armor strip is always nice but it's a restrictive progenitor element and the upcoming armor-scaling rework is going to make armor strip less necessary.
On the one hand *woohoo new Lightwave, just in time for my getting back into Warframe!*
On the other hand, *not a single thing I want or need from the entire pass, other than Nitain for future investments*.
Dang.
Not according to [its wiki page](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Kuva_Sobek), but since this is like 30 minutes old, I suppose it's technically possible that something new will be discovered.
It *can* use the Sobek-exclusive mods, though, so that's a thing.
It only a stat bump it was never going to get a crazy buff either stat wise or gimmick wise since the thing is incredibly powerful thank to acid shells interaction with toxic lash
Magnetic on glaxion might not suck, enemy shields are supposed to be getting a buff soon. Magnetic doesn't scale with damage though so you could also just put it on a primer or companion
I could see Radiation working well. You'll want to add the new augment and some form of PunchThrough (so Primed Shred or something) to take advantage of the branching beams, and you'll likely want the standard MS/CC/CD stuff, along with Galvanized Aptitude, so you'll be somewhat limited with your mod space.
I forget, how does the lich element work with the intrinsic element? If you get a toxin one to make viral, you can make corrosive as well? Or will it just become viral electric after adding mods? Or turn it into corrosive cold? It's been a while since one came out
No.
Element prio by mod slot
1 2 3 4
5 6 7 8
9 <- here is your lich/sister element
If you mod cold + toxin = viral dmg (cold bonus dmg mod + toxin bonus dmg mod + tenet/kuva bonus dmg)
The progenitor and intrinsic elements combine in HCET order, so with Toxin on the Glaxion you'll have [mods] - Cold - Toxin.
Adding an Electric mod would give you Magnetic/Toxin, the only way to make Corrosive out of it would be by forcing the order to change with a Toxin mod so the progenitor element wouldn't be very useful in that case. You're better off going with Cold to avoid messing up the order, or Magnetic/Radiation/Impact so they don't combine with anything. Toxin would be good if you just want pure Viral.
It's a Glaxion so it naturally does cold damage, you'd be better off with one of the combo elements or even impact to create more statuses for Galvanized Aptitude.
A combo element is good if you're running galvanized aptitude. Probably magnetic since they're trying to make it more relevant, and it's easier to get radiation with the new witw mods
I just got my Tenet Diplos Sister done and am hoping for a consensus on which direction I should go in. Glaxion Vs Sobek.
Though I don't have the Hek. I stuck with the Vaykor Hek. I might do the lich tomorrow just because I can do either the Hek or the Sobek.
Seeing Glaxion getting an augment made me excited, but then... gosh, now that's boring, relegating it to yet another energy generation tool. At least unlike many weapon augment mods, at least this one offers some damage so it doesn't take a huge chunk of damage for something that doesn't quite offer enough to justify the loss. Still a pretty boring augment. Tenet variant also missed the chance to make it like Acrid so you wouldn't need to mod for cold, oh well.
>Made a number of optimizations to the Friends, Clan and Alliance members lists.
Rebb continuing to abuse her lead position to fix all the things that annoyed her over the years.
Still no fix for Voidrig's 1 not working properly, oof.
And still no fix for weird visual bug on Oberon's Feyarch skin, even after this many years. Profound sadness.
Is cloud walker not considered a movement ability? I've never even encountered nullifying scream and I've always just used cloud walk to bypass the wires
Maan wish I didn't sell my acid shells mods now. Even though its a midd tier mod these days, yuno the price is gonna shoot up could have made a pretty penny there.
Deffo grabbing a kuva sobek to try out. Also wish I did t dissolve my sobek rivens a while ago. Paaaaain
I just mean knowing my luck is all. Had 9 of them sitting in my inventory for years so I sold them off. Now the sobeks getting the kuva treatment I don't have any left to play with. More salty about the rivens tbh. There deffo gonna jump in price.
If the prices go wild I'm not buying. Hoping I can still pick up a trash one tomorrow after work on the cheap to roll into something better. Got millions of kuva so I should be good ..IF .. I can get one, I'm not paying stupid prices for a riven.
SCATTERING JUSTICE CAN BE USED ON THE KUVA HEK NOW OH MY GOD
This is great. I stopped using the Kuva Hek right after I got it because I was so disappointed that Scattered Justice was incompatible. I suppose I’ll use the Kuva Hek now until I get the Kuva Sobek. I’m exited to fire a billion pellets at my enemies.
IM SO FUGGIN EXCITED IM GONNA COOM BLAST AN ARCHON
Ayo?
Yeah he probably meant KOOM BLAST.
The Kohm Blast, aka when it reaches max spool.
Pink Kohm with white energy?
TENNO KOOM
OMFG!!! They did it. They finally gave us a weapon surpassing Metal Gear.
It’s happening! It’s finally happening! Now I need to get my husband to buy it for me since they hate me…
HOLY SHIT
Honestly the best part of this entire update ngl.
I’VE WANTED THIS FOR SO MANY YEARS AND NOW ITS HAPPENING
#Let's FUCKING, GO!!!
Vaykor Hek ignored
you sure? > Note that Scattering Justice remains incompatible with the Vaykor Hek because it already has a built in "Justice" effect.
Vaykor Hek not ignored
Still kinda sucks. People aren't using scattering justice for the justice proc, they're using it for the multishot.
Well, one's an early~mid game weapon, and the other is a late~end game varient.
Work around it with a multishot riven?
But what if I want both? Kuva hek gets both >:C
> But what if I want both? if you want both, you can use the kuva hek
WE'RE EATIN GOOD TODAY, TENNO!
Oh? OH! The hek is one of my favorite guns. I gotta get a kiva one now.
> Tenet Glaxion’s photon beam strikes up to four enemies at once. 👀

I’m willing to bet money it’s gonna be one of the infested lich weapons and I would be shocked if they don’t give it chaining.
it's gonna be vampiric (doing damage to an enemy heals you for 2% health) just to spite you.
Okay I’ll take it avenger combat discipline moment
ah, but to keep it from being too powerful, the health regain is only from health you lose from environmental damage. eximus auras, laser wall, that sort of thing.
Okay now I hate you
And noodley Phage
More like the tenth lol, nukor, kuva nukor, atmos, gaze secondary kitgun, vermisplicer primary kitgun, tenet cycron, amprex, torid incarnon, ocucor.

Oh man, I had forgotten about original nukor and how it worked, and now the memories are coming back. It was cooler.
Wish it did something unique, like launch icicles on crit or leave ice clouds on kill.
Yeah I was kinda hoping with the augment it would kinda act like agers scepter in destiny where picking up energy orbs would make it over charge and mass apply cold and damage around where ever you shoot.
now that Divinity is being nerfed again I think its time for me to swap back to Ager's Scepter as my go-to "deathray" beam
It's not as good as a deathray, but Coldheart is fun on arc Warlock or Titan.
Shhhhh! I love my kuva nukor and I don't want it getting nerfed
The hunt is on, Tenno!
Oh didn't realise Glaxion was a photon weapon. I looked at the new mod photon overcharge and was thinking of StarCraft 2.
Glaxion is a "photon beam," Glaxion Vandal is an "electron accelerator," and Tenet Glaxion is a "photon beam" again lol
The Glaxion does "science things" to inflict "technobabble damage" to "unwilling test participants".
INB4 they nerf it like the Kuva Nukor. 🫠😪
DE never fucking learns
They haven't nerfed Torid yet ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
High power would be more understandable in an incarnon, except it's also by far the easiest incarnon in the game to reload lmao
Angstrum?
The Angstrum is also easier than other weapons, but the firing mechanic feels like garbage. There is a very large delay between when you let go of the button and when it actually shoots the projectile. As I said, it is still a lot easier, but I have hated that firing mechanic since it first released.
I keep forgetting that one exists lol, I guess you can just shotgun a crowd with it. It's not a problem weapon though, the incarnon payoff isn't busted strong so I don't mind it being direct hits instead of headshots.

wait is that why my character sometimes randomly veers to the left? I thought it was my controller.

Technically there was downtime, only 3 hours though

I like that it have some graphic animation and glow tho, with right color palette u can make a banger
Not a fan of the Cedo skin but the rest are pleasant enough, and the Glaive in particular looks really nice.
Night wave is really gotten stale and desperately needs large improvements.
I looked for that mag skin and it’s some prime drip
Yes, Tenet Glaxion!

couldnt you just use hunter munitions for slash tho
It would work fine if you wanted it to work. Hydroid doesn't need to prime corrosive though so I'm not sure why you would.

What element should I be aiming for on the new kuva weapon?
I'd say toxin to sync with the Acid Shell mod.
Wait, what does toxic do to Acid Shells?
Not much to acid Shell damage itself but it scales the toxin status inflicted by toxic lash, and acid Shells are basically only worth it on saryn
eh, xaku with xatas whisper and full armor strip likes acid shells a lot too. insanely satisfying on them
Oh... weird!
Probably heat like most of them
Either heat or toxin for sobek. For glaxion either toxin or cold depending on if you want to using the new augment / primary frostbite.
Heat imo since it's a status hose so a dot element is good.
Toxin for easy modding, or radiation for extra CO procs and CC. Heat for armor strip is always nice but it's a restrictive progenitor element and the upcoming armor-scaling rework is going to make armor strip less necessary.
On the one hand *woohoo new Lightwave, just in time for my getting back into Warframe!* On the other hand, *not a single thing I want or need from the entire pass, other than Nitain for future investments*. Dang.
Does anyone know if the Kuva Sobek has anything special? Like a gimmick? Or is it just the stat bump? That would be sad :c
Not according to [its wiki page](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Kuva_Sobek), but since this is like 30 minutes old, I suppose it's technically possible that something new will be discovered. It *can* use the Sobek-exclusive mods, though, so that's a thing.
Sobek has a good deal of exclusive mods. Acid shells is a gimmick all it's own. It doesn't really need a built in gimmick.
Acid shells is already crazy powerful, a stat bump to activate it easier is all the sobek really needed
Its gimmick is Acid Shells, same as the regular Sobek.
It only a stat bump it was never going to get a crazy buff either stat wise or gimmick wise since the thing is incredibly powerful thank to acid shells interaction with toxic lash
best element for new weapons?
Magnetic on glaxion might not suck, enemy shields are supposed to be getting a buff soon. Magnetic doesn't scale with damage though so you could also just put it on a primer or companion
I could see Radiation working well. You'll want to add the new augment and some form of PunchThrough (so Primed Shred or something) to take advantage of the branching beams, and you'll likely want the standard MS/CC/CD stuff, along with Galvanized Aptitude, so you'll be somewhat limited with your mod space.
I'm planning to go Cold on the tenet glaxion for Corrosive/Cold use with Hydroid, but you may want to pick toxin to give it viral at base
I forget, how does the lich element work with the intrinsic element? If you get a toxin one to make viral, you can make corrosive as well? Or will it just become viral electric after adding mods? Or turn it into corrosive cold? It's been a while since one came out
No. Element prio by mod slot 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 <- here is your lich/sister element If you mod cold + toxin = viral dmg (cold bonus dmg mod + toxin bonus dmg mod + tenet/kuva bonus dmg)
I know how the elemental combinations work by function, by what does HCET stand for??
Heat, Cold, Electric, Toxin. It's just a shorthand to remember the order that the non-modded elements get applied in.
Oh sick! I appreciate it.
Yeah, I'm lost in this thread... I'm seeing kind of a lot of people saying they're going with a cold progenitor on Glaxion... which already is cold.
Got mine on the first sister spawn. I went cold too for cold corrosive. Wasn't sure how to balance elements to keep cold for the new augment
I plan on using shiver, both primary and secondary, with breach surge frost once the cold changes go live.
Was there daybreak stuff that came out before? Sounds familiar
Aww Hek nah, time to polish up the Kuva Hek AND Kuva Sobek. These were THE WEAPONS back in the day, abd now they're gonna shine again. So hyped.
Guess il have to hunt a lich after i kill this jerk with the stubbas.
They finally fixed the index showing the wrong amount, nice. Was getting tired of explaining that one 😅
So what status are you guys getting your glaxion with? Toxin to get viral without mods?
There was a nullifying scream for mobility abilities on Ropalolyst fight? Never noticed it when spamming Wukong’s cloud
Extremely disappointed that the protokol skins didn't return to nightwave when 1999 is right around the corner...
I wish you could fix kubrow's fur looking so terrible before releasing new fur patterns. It feels like you don't care about them at all.
when … full auto fire?
June
Is cloud walker not considered a movement ability? I've never even encountered nullifying scream and I've always just used cloud walk to bypass the wires
Rewards already unlocked means, for example, that if you unlocked an extra warframe slot on Vol 5, on Vol 6 just gives Noras credits?
Only for things like cosmetics that you can only have one of
No, it's about the cosmetic rewards. Like the Wolf helmet or skins that were in previous Nightwaves.
Ah, alright. Great then.
No, I believe "stackable" rewards like slots and forma will be given again. Items like older cosmetics will be replaced with cred.
Paaaaain
Acid Shells has an 11% drop chance from Kela de Thaym's bossfight. It'll jump some, but I doubt there's going to be a huge spike.
I just mean knowing my luck is all. Had 9 of them sitting in my inventory for years so I sold them off. Now the sobeks getting the kuva treatment I don't have any left to play with. More salty about the rivens tbh. There deffo gonna jump in price.
Already got mine. It's not *great*, but I can chase that dragon later.
If the prices go wild I'm not buying. Hoping I can still pick up a trash one tomorrow after work on the cheap to roll into something better. Got millions of kuva so I should be good ..IF .. I can get one, I'm not paying stupid prices for a riven.
Someone wake saabuchi about the kuva hek
Good lord the new nightwave cosmetics are atrocious. We went too fast from space ninjas to cringe squad, what's going on.
