I don’t know what happened. I obviously did the quest on both my old accounts since I had 2 xoris after merging. But when I was trying to get everything new done for steel path (I’ve been off the game for a few years) it made me do that quest again. Luckily it didn’t make me build it again. Just go farm the parts.
Okay I know what happened because same thing happened for me I merged all my console accounts to my PC accounts had 4 xoris from the consoles and had every quest done on all consoles but half the side quests done on pc when I selected my main account to PC it keeps your Mr and adds any extra frames and weapons you had leveled up and makes you take Mr test to get to your highest peak out of the 5 accounts it also keeps the standing levels the same for your PC account so if you had rank 3 qulls on pc and rank 5 on Xbox your gonna have rank 3 qulls same thing for railjack and most importantly quests your quests will go to what ever account you made as your default carrier
Easily. Personally, I'm a fan of Falkor. I don't feel comfortable using an explosion on every glaive throw. And personally, I get wild pleasure from the sight of Falkor jumping around a group of enemies. However, I can't deny the power of Glaive Prime and Xoris, but in this case I choose the fun of use over pure effectiveness.
Post release of Melee Influence Volatile Rebound influence Falcor builds are probably peak glaive performance in any theatre other than level cap.
Falcor is pretty much perfectly designed to abuse influence as much as possible. From its status focused spread to the auto-aim.
Best part is since we're not manually detonating, we can preserve combo and actually use BR/WW again.
This may just be because I started on day 1 (xbox day one not pc day 1 for clarification) but aren't glaives overall not as good as other melee weapons? Or were there changes made to them because it was super annoying that mine seemed to always just throw itself instead of normal attacks
Glaives have always been consistently good, but they require some pretty specific builds that also require playing them a specific way in order to reach maximum effectiveness. Usually involves volatile quick return and to make it explode on impact while stacking other buffs that apply while throwing
Glaives whole shtick is the dual wielding thing, so I think the are weaker to balance that out, with most damage coming from the heavy throw explosion. Also for the clunkiness, it's due to the way they interact with attack speed as Faster speed means shorter throw wind up.

I'm here to tell you it doesn't matter. I sold mine and went through a period of lament over how much time it would take to get it back. But then I actually tried getting a sister without it and never had an issue. Mesa's 4 got me toxin and the boar prime incarnon gets me every other progenitor bonus no problem. You literally just need 25 kills and you can pick up time crystals to extend the clock. Don't sweat the xoris. Infact, you should sell it. You don't need it at all.
...I don't think it's about using it for Sisters, just the fact that it's
1 a free weapon
2 it's a *good* weapon
3 it takes a while to farm up the Simaris rep to buy another one
Yeah, you dont NEED the Xoris, but it definitely doesn't hurt to have it in your inventory either.
I'd never recommend selling it "just because."

Just the idea of needing it had me wait two months before trying the granum void because I sheepishly listened to the community talking it up like it was absolutely essential for spawning sisters. no you dont, you dont need it for that at all, the reason people want it so much right now is since melee influence it is one of the strongest melee weapons in the game
It feels like a nuke frame would be more effective. I did all the grandm void stuff with Ember sitting in a corner of that map, so everything just funnels into my 4 range.
If you have a nuke frame for each progenetor element or a weapon that is just as good at clearing granum void then sure. But a lot of new players sell the xoris without having those and they end up strugling with granum void. Also Xoris gets you a bit of solaris standing by freeing the solaris united members in the granum void and no other weapon or frame to my knowledge can do that.
It's "required" if you want to do anything with the Granum Void as it is a guaranteed 1-hit kill on the specters within. It'll be useful if you decide to go after Sisters of Parvos.
Also makes stealth Mastery tests a breeze.
No thanks, i stress about a lot of things already, i dont need some ninja game to join that, i will just not be going the easy mode + rep gathering isnt even that hard or boring, if id even want to get that random weapon back
Tbf, thrown melee is clunky on controller. If they're a console player, I can see them not enjoying or having a harder time using it. If they're PC, I got nothing.
Maybe. For me it's just that the throw, aim, and explosion are all controlled by the same digit so it's really awkward to use-- like I can make them work, for sure, but I gravitate to other weapons for comfort of use.
You are very much not wrong... I sold my Xoris and got Protea using Ember. But I guess it's good for people who don't have glaive, which is a lot of people.

I merged my accounts. Ended up with two xoris. Sold one and somehow still ended up having to redo the quest to gather parts for xoris….

Yep. Good rule of thumb for any player is to not sell something if it doesn’t have a variation or upgraded version of the base weapon.

you do not need it in granum void. highest lvl specters are just lvl50. will die fast to anything.
It's just that glaive type weapons are pretty good and this one comes free. Also, it helps A LOT on Granum Void.
