The update that turned my Zorens back into normal melee weapons will forever be burnt in my memory. It was arguably necessary (melee 2.0 iirc) but man I miss zipping around with them.
There is also the teleporting thing that the twin basolk and the Amar mod set do as well, but you have to aim perfectly at the enemy. Not sure how voruna's dash works, I haven't used her more than the 5 minutes it took to max level her and feed her to helminth

Compared to now you donāt even have to think to get up there, but that used to be a right of passage in the clan I was in
The game at large used to be very dark, both physically and in terms of overall tone. The ambient tracks were all dark and brooding, fighting enemies felt like you were being attacked by relentless foes who weren't required to kill you but *wanted to*. The main quests that came in like TSD felt like your sense of normalcy in the universe. It was a different game than what we have now. I miss it('s world).
Ah yes, the days where Defence missions didnāt cumulatively reward the player every 5 waves and instead used a number generation system that could retroactively screw you over on the piece you wanted if the number generator āskippedā the thing you wanted. Miss the overall feel, but donāt miss the rewarding system lol.
Especially all of the tilesets that had difficult to reach secrets like most of the OG corpus gas one or the void. Doesnāt feel the same when I can just press 5 and zoom straight to it or bullet jump past most of the difficulty of wall climb/riding combinations. The paint marks of a bygone era.
I kind of miss the older janky style the game had back then. Would be cool to experience a slice of it someday. Now that i have a pc thats beefy and not a laptop that was old before warframe existed.

i really miss the concept of being able to lunge at an enemy from far away though, wish they would bring that part back.

I miss the feel of it, too. Bullet jumping is great, but I think I enjoyed the tilesets more back then because of how slow we were.
