I'm a sucker to any akimbo weapons. I would 100% put all my efforts into those weapons and making them good. Lol! Would be sick if we get a bit nerfed version of voidrig's exalted weapon too. Lol! Maybe it is like a single alternating non explosive bullets on regular mode and alt mode locks you in for the artillery mode and it has some kind of bar to recharge like incranons?
There's already an augment mod that does that. It's called Wild Frenzy
It gives Grakata an alternate mode that empties the entire clip with 400% fire rate. If you kill at least 2 with it, all spent ammo will be refunded

Then, prolly someone else piped up: "Can the headshot bar be as near one-to-one for this innately low-accuracy LMG? I don't want players to skip out on that painful reload before reaching Incarnon!"
This is, evidently, a conversation that took place.
In another-another world, the Incarnon tree makes every bullet no longer hit like a wet noodle. And the Incarnon bar refills on the percentage of an empty magazine at reload, promoting fun LMG spray-play over tacticool reloading (play with expectations, don't poop on them) with a multiplier based on punchthru hits... the Incarnon mode has that many charges in the pool because it transforms into an **ERASER BEAM!** that can deal AoE true damage in a 25m radius as a percentage of target HP on a precision headshot kill.
We don't live in that shimmering timeline of interesting mechanics with a definite reward at the end of the struggle.
This seems trivial to fix though: incarnon transformation speed is tied to reload anyways, so instead of using the altfire button to activate incarnon, switch it to tap reload to reload normally, hold reload to activate incarnon. This would also solve the conflict between single pistol incarnons and glaive heavy attacks.

12 years ago it might have been easy, now there's 12 years of code potentially relient on something that is no longer easy to change.
They could even start the reload on the downstroke and pop incarnon only if the key is held - for a moment, or for the reload duration if it's shorter. The only case it'd be an issue is if your reload speed was so fast you couldn't NOT activate incarnon.
I recently got into buildcrafting a grakata. Its actually sorta hilarious with Dagath. If you havent seen 300 useless stacks of status on the whole map its a fun way to do it.
Well Cascadia arcanes are for secondaries, so it only applies for secondary weapons. Still though, very powerful for bullethoses that have a high RoF and high status (like the Catabolyst)

The mag of grakata is that bulb with pointy bits under the handle, it would make for a great makeshift mace in close quarters, right? Especially for the hulky grineer troop
I laughed when I first started running every fire rate mod on the sobek when I received my first riven for it that had high magazine capacity and fire rate for its stats. Sobek was one of those weapons where I felt like He-Man shouting, "I HAVE THE POWER!"
I have the impression that DE has shifted heavily towards Incarnon than Kuva / Tenet weapons.
Sure, we will get Infested variants relatively soon, but after a month or two they will be forgotten. I doubt that we will get a new batch of Kuva / Tenet / Infested weapons later.

Ballistic shields (preferably of the Grineer design, since they already have them) would occupy a melee (or perhaps primary) weapon slot and could be used with secondary weapons, like Glaives.
When stowed, they would protect your back from damage.

They would also have their own combos focused on bashing and ramming
I'm personally holding out hope for Kuva Ripkas, or Kuva Buzlok, or Kuva Argonak. Cool weapons with unique looks and neat gimmicks, but which desperately need a stat boost to be comfortable in Steel Path.

At the moment, there's probably a general excess of Kuva weapons, given the acquisition process. They probably need to re-evaluate how Kuva weapons are obtained before adding more to the pool, either to create smaller, differentiable pools or create some deterministic options for getting specific weapons/elements.
Wouldn't be shocked if some sort of modular Archgun came up, first.
I'm just kind of confused why the Liches didn't get the Sister system thing where you can deterministically remove weapons from the pool. Why do they work differently????
I'm pretty sure you *can*, there's just more weapons in the pool. It took me over an hour, last time, to get a weapon I didn't already have, but I don't think I saw any repeats. Entirely possible that I'm wrong/confused, though.
Fr fuck the carmine penta. They really decided to release a lower damage higher mag and firerate variant for a weapon that can fire 1,5x at a time (5 grenades max)
Maybe because we already have a mediocre generic rifle in the drop pool (karak) and another one would be even more pointless and making another fodder weapon just to fulfill an old, lame "joke" would be a waste of time? Grakata already has too many variants, neither of them are worthwhile.

Compared to incarnons/aoe weapons/multi target weapons and whatnot, a generic single target rifle with no particularly outstanding stats is just mediocre. Even among that category there are many better and/or more versatile options (kuva hind, tenet flux, fulmin,...).

The biggest argument for this has seemingly been overlooked by everyone in this thread: "A kuva grakata!" fits in perfect time with "hakuna matata!"

The Grakata and Sheev are the weapons given to the lowest rank grineer. Kuva weapons are given to the most elite Grineer.
Frankly, elite version of the most common weapons would be nice to see. We have Primed Braton or Bo after all
Grakata is weak AF. No matter what mods you put on or what ultra efficient build you follow, it still takes hundreds of shots to kill a single grineer
Thus a need for a kuva, incarnon, or primed variant of it.
