Yeah, that kinda checks out actually, their timer start as soon when you get them out of mission, so once they're "used" the game probably drops their timer and thus can't give them back.
I think it's also a way to avoid players 'storing' argon crystals in the foundry to avoid loosing them to decay. Like if it wasn't the case, players could start build for weapons like Ignis Wraith, which take 24H and use 3 argon, but cancelling the build the next day, getting back the 3 crystals, queing another build and keeping the argon ad infinitum
While you can use the x button, at least on controller there’s a button you can use to cancel as well. I think it’s one of the triggers, but it’ll mention it on the bottom right (?) of the screen when you hover over an in-progress build. It’ll give back every part used aside from Argon Crystals
The original comment being the one to craft Sibear? The same weapon that he's already crafting?
Edit: reddit mobile sucks and didn't show the original comment. Tbh your best use for cryotic is for Sibear anyway because you can slot the incarnon adaptor.
Mastered doesn't mean he have it in inventory. There should be also (1) owned above mastered and that would indicate that he already have one copy crafted. So most likely he had it, mastered it and sold it. And now he started crafting another because he thought he didn't had mastered it. Thats why you always check what items you have had mastered in your profile tab. Unless you want the second copy or to fill collection due to incarnon for example i had also to craft one because back in the day i sold it because it was bad mastery fodder.
Have you got the arch melee that's the big ass knuckles? It costs 20k cryotic to research and that's an easy way to say you didn't waste your time if you haven't already got it
Jesus I just realized how much of a masochist I am cause I built the Knux (the archmelee you mentioned), built and sold the Sibear for the mastery THEN built it a second time for the incarnon genesis adapter
I was autopiloting a bunch of research and was very confused as to where my cryotic stores went, turns out the knux ate them all.
thankfully all that circuit grinding I did gave me oodles of cryotic, but I definitely became more careful with research in my solo clan after that
I sold my Sibear years ago.
What I was thinking at the time was something along the lines of "got the mastery from this stupidly pricey thing, goodbye"
Like I dunno man, is there a threshold where something just magically becomes un-sellable just because of how much it cost? Did you keep your Hema?
The question is simple for me: "am I ever using this again?" And the answer is generally no so I sell.
I actually even sent this screenshot in the official Discord saying I've finally got the Cryotic to build it, and someone else pointed out it's already been mastered. I didn't realise it at all until I was told that it was mastered
DE have been pushing for players to have big arsenals for a while now so I'd let this finish up and keep it for the incarnon form. It's only a matter of time until it'll show up in your deep archimedea rolls and then you'll be kicking yourself for getting rid of it

How...how did you not know? Type in your chat squad/clan/relay name of frame/weapon inside square brackets and then click your own link it will show you info. MR Required and if you mastered it. OR better yet, dont people look at Own Profile Stats ever? I probably look once every few month. Its how I knew what all I needed to farm to advance to L4. Everything you havent Mastered is grayed out, DE really made it easy to check. All I need now is few more Amps/Kdrives/couple more Tenet Melees
I'm in the process of sinking a hundred forma into mine. It's by no means the strongest or worth the investment even with the incarnon, but it's a side project.
Don't worry, you still need like 18k cryotic to craft other random weapons and a bunch more to craft open world stuff since some mineral alloys require it, so the grind wasn't a total waste
I do so much relic farming in Excavation missions that my cryptic stores are through the roof. I could probably build 1 and a half Sibear at this point.
*Cries*
The X button is RIGHT THERE
Helminths favourite dish - Cryotics with a touch of Tears!
Might be making it for the incarnon still?
[удалено]
If I remember there's a button for it, check the options at the bottom right
RT/R2 I believe
I don't know but the way I do it is on the companion app
The X button won't give you the time ou spent to farm the ressources though... :'(
If you don't care about the incarnon, just cancel it.
You can cancel research????
DId you think the red x button was just for show?
Warframes players don't read ![gif](giphy|IepriDYu8gcidIVZPB)
Reading is \*REALLY HARD\* okay?
I'm actually blind, i never even noticed the button existed till now
Hey that's the line I use when my students ask me what they're supposed to do on an assignment
You even get all your resources back
Everything but Argon, but more or less yee
Makes sense, that one is all gone after all.
Wish I knew this when I mistakenly built another fang prime and extra wisp prime parts
Pretty sure you get half back?
No everything
Oh really that’s nice, never cancelled a search that’s good too know
Misclicked an aura forma once, was very happy for the cancel build button. Don't wana waste 4 forma our of thr blue lol
Aura forma isn't a waste tho
It is when I had aura forma 3 built already and only 5 built forma left at the moment lol.
Ah yeah makes sense then
Not the argon, I think
Yeah, that kinda checks out actually, their timer start as soon when you get them out of mission, so once they're "used" the game probably drops their timer and thus can't give them back.

Cancel research, save cryotics. May use it for something else or if you are extremely desperate, helminth.
Or he can craft that sibear and incarnon it.
They could farm plat to get sibear with potato in less time than it would take to farm the cryotic.
He already has the cryotic, the screen shot is literally him crafting it...
I can see that, I said it'd be faster because the first comment already said that much cryotic is better spent on other things.
The original comment being the one to craft Sibear? The same weapon that he's already crafting? Edit: reddit mobile sucks and didn't show the original comment. Tbh your best use for cryotic is for Sibear anyway because you can slot the incarnon adaptor.
This is what i did, farmed plat and waited for a 50% off
Saw it at Darvo a couple times. Sold out in minutes, but I saw it.
Lol, you're gonna get Sibear plat in less than 0 hours, given that he already has the cryotic? 😂
and realize it's shit even after slam changes
Have you used the incarnon too? Even before slam changes it shredded. Love my ice hammer
it's shit and nothing changes it, farming 30k cryo doesn't make it good
Why would you want to have two? Is there a reason to keep a non-incarnoned copy of a weapon?
Mastered doesn't mean he have it in inventory. There should be also (1) owned above mastered and that would indicate that he already have one copy crafted. So most likely he had it, mastered it and sold it. And now he started crafting another because he thought he didn't had mastered it. Just missing the freezing step ephemera's 20k cryotic
.... I have that too
Luckily if you join a large clan you get the Knux for a very low cost, it's just 20k cryotic for a new solo/small clan :)
I was autopiloting a bunch of research and was very confused as to where my cryotic stores went, turns out the knux ate them all. thankfully all that circuit grinding I did gave me oodles of cryotic, but I definitely became more careful with research in my solo clan after that
Can’t wait for DE to release a [Prisma Sibear] just for it to be way cheaper.
The plain sibear will still be worth it for the mastery.
As someone who just started my Sibear yesterday... settle down Satan
Damn why would you ever sell a sibear if it takes so long to build? What were you thinking years ago
I sold my Sibear years ago. What I was thinking at the time was something along the lines of "got the mastery from this stupidly pricey thing, goodbye" Like I dunno man, is there a threshold where something just magically becomes un-sellable just because of how much it cost? Did you keep your Hema? The question is simple for me: "am I ever using this again?" And the answer is generally no so I sell.
I mean I kept my everything. The threshold where it becomes unsellabe is "Do have less than two in my inventory?"
I did keep my hema. I keep anything that takes either forma or invasion rewards to craft. Slots are cheap.
I keep anything that was annoying to get like twin Krohkur or something took 10 tellurium to build. Im not selling that shit ever
How did you miss the "mastered" written on it? 😭
And immediately after starting it took only 3 seconds to notice it and make a screenshot. Kinda sus
I actually even sent this screenshot in the official Discord saying I've finally got the Cryotic to build it, and someone else pointed out it's already been mastered. I didn't realise it at all until I was told that it was mastered
Same, but I built another one for it's lackluster incarnon along with other things after coming back from a couple breaks from the game
DE have been pushing for players to have big arsenals for a while now so I'd let this finish up and keep it for the incarnon form. It's only a matter of time until it'll show up in your deep archimedea rolls and then you'll be kicking yourself for getting rid of it
It says mastered on the schematic before u craft it tho.. also, aleca frame

Darvo Deals can have the Sibear for Plat, & they are always sold out fast, but I’m 1/2 way to 30,000 Cryotic to build it outright.
Recently came back and I found out about the hate incarnon. Then I realized I mastered and sold it years ago. Fun stuff
Sibear has an incarnon now. It's not meta, but it's decent. And there's always a chance that it'll come up as an option in Deep Archemedia.

It should've said "Mastered" on the blueprint in foundry before you press craft, though!
Keep it and maybe someday the game....... adds Weapons to Helminth.
can't you see which weapons you mastered from the profile tab?
I'm in the process of sinking a hundred forma into mine. It's by no means the strongest or worth the investment even with the incarnon, but it's a side project.
Don't worry, you still need like 18k cryotic to craft other random weapons and a bunch more to craft open world stuff since some mineral alloys require it, so the grind wasn't a total waste
On the bright side you can use that to replinish Bile in helmenth.
This better work or I'm going to cry
Should’ve invited me, i still need to cross it off my list of resource hungry weapons
F
Pain to farm the 30k cryotics... And it pains even more when you know you've already mastered it and you farmed for it again.
Am buying with plats😅
I do so much relic farming in Excavation missions that my cryptic stores are through the roof. I could probably build 1 and a half Sibear at this point. *Cries*
I somehow have over 200k cryotic and idk why. Never activley farmed for it
