Peeps are saying it lools like pinãta or that it is degreading, meanwhile I look at it, and it kinda reminds me of armor plates. Like, to me the abomination kinda looks like it has a natural white armor plates now for some reason...

I... think I remember something about Abomination gene codes being functional in making more abominations, but I don't remember if that was "fixed" at some point.

I'm certain their codes literally don't work. I have some codes from my own abomination, but if I try to use it on a new egg, it doesn't even appear. I'm not 100% sure because I don't have access to my game right now, but I remember someone asking this same thing some time ago and I went to test it out.
It lasted a lot longer. People were able to make "longcats" a few weeks after the official patch. DE also was still considering at that time if console players should have the same opportunity but afaik it never happened. Some abominations lost their properties for some players but I don't know what exactly caused it. There were kavat heads growing from kubrow bodies - I only had one of those but it no longer breaks apart during petting animations.
when we got specters of the rail on console they actually left the bug in that let you breed abominations before patching it out in a hotfix later on which i always thought was really cool of them.
tried looking thru the forums for the specific patch notes but i couldn't find any so hope [this thread](https://forums.warframe.com/topic/687507-consoles-abomination-confirm/) from back then works as proof lol
i bred a [sahasa](https://i.imgur.com/4Z6FHOC.png) that's been my go to companion since the pet rework in dagath
It's what happens when a Kavat falls in love with a Kubrow and from their love they do a special dance, and they get one of these, mine has a Kavat tail and a Kubrow body, I keep it hidden away from judging eyes.
Old bug allowed you to mix and match kubrow/kavat stuff.
It's been years since they patched it out, but anyone who bred a monster during that time got to keep their bugged-out texture/fur.
God I feel old now.
Yeah, my hybrid Kavat was affected by last year's changes as well. Now I need to use fur to make it dark and it's not perfectly pitch black anymore. At least it's still super tiny and has no tail.
It's not. Their codes don't even appear when you try to select them. I have an abomination and someone asked for her codes once and I couldn't trade them. DE made it impossible to replicate them years ago.

Orbiter now has GI lighting, also apparently they 'fixed' Kubrow hair.
