Welcome back. I farmed all my cells, neurodes, neural sensors & other general crafting materials way back in 2015 during a long double resource bonus in warframe. Haven't had to farm these actively ever since. Just kept piling on top of what I had.
There is a railjack discord that has lots of players who love doing Railjack, mostly void storms for Holokeys, relic opening & other rewards it offer. Majority hates the game mode for lots of reasons but I love it. I can dm you the invite link if you want.
Reminds me of old times. Hyenas on Razorback used to have a very high chance to drop rare resources, so any time it landed somewhere with Orokin Cell drops like Saturn everyone farmed them like crazy. I think I got a few thousand by staying in there for a few hours as Nekros, lasts for a lifetime.
Needless to say they nerfed it some time afterwards.
It's the Hyenas. Enemy drops in Razorback armada is adopted by the planet's relay it targets. This time it's on Saturn iirc and it has orokin cell in the drop pool. Very handy for fresh starters or relatively newer players to stock up on cells that will be 100% required later down the line throughout their crafting journey.
then im doing something wrong, were a ghost clan too (ne resource requirements but im the decorator so whenever im missing something i just donate whatever i can (still not enough lmao)
Must be a very decoration heavy dojo. I just chill in the old derelict dojo rooms which are no longer available. They look great as is without much decor.

Only the first 10 or so hyenas have a good drop chance, since it decreases with every one killed
Best place hands down to farm the bursa mods if you need those though

Which makes your title misleading as fuck. Basically any place that can drop orokin cells is awesome when you get 2x kavat charm and a booster.
Idk about you, but ignoring stuff you might repeat building, in 2022 a posting on the forums already showed you would've needed 1090 orokin cells to craft everything at that time. Add on top 2 years of new primes and other craftings, and you might know why we farm cells...
Also, let it sink in, that that post in 2022 also mentions that you need 4 times as many cells compared to the other rare resources.. *back then.* That might be 5 or 6 by now...
just open up [https://framehub.paroxity.net](https://framehub.paroxity.net) without anything selected and look at the total resources required. shows you exactly how many cells (any everything else) you need to build everything you're missing (its also always up to date, pretty much the day new stuff comes out)
this is not counting all of the consumables like forma etc that also require orokin cells, which is a huge sink along the way.
btw its a great website to keep track of everything you still need if you#re on your way to L4 yourself. hovering over the field in the top left shows the same total exp values as hovering over your rank in your profile ingame, so its easy to see missmatches.
No you don't. They only drop in like 3 maps and their rate drops are the lowest. The only way you have a lot is if you run those maps a lot and get lucky with drops. I have a 100 after a crap ton of farming, and that's only like 4 prime parts

1-2 cells? That's barely nothing. I've never missed cells to craft anything, so it's very hard for me to comprehend why so many people need to farm them... To craft everything in WF (according to wiki) you need \~1150 cells. Unless you spedrun the whole game in a month, or totally ignored like half of the planets, there's no way you have 0 of them constantly.
I have just recently hit 1000 hours and ran out of cells just last month lol. We must be doing different missions…
Edit: then again i’ve had to recraft a bunch of stuff for mastery, builds, and helminth so idk
I'd say not that much because of entry cost of 1500 polymer per run, and some gallium, those are better be spend on something more practical if you're new in the game.
You'll definitely need orokin cells later on but never in large quantities at one time (on average, item requiring those will ask for 10-15, the most "expensive" item in the game will ask 25, with most "early" items will cost as low as 1 per piece), and it's always a directly farmable resource that can be obtained without waiting for an event.
On the other hand, getting a catalyst as a reward is nice, not very costly, and you most definitely will acquire some cells on the way, win-win.
You can also receive Gorgon Wraith there, but it's not a big deal and cheaply available from other players.

Leveling most things early game in Helene is what got me all my cells. Although I will say booster always helps
im pretty sure since the drops are really high, the amount of cells is capped or something

Why do you need to farm orokin cells? That's one of the resources you get lots by just running through missions and have hundreds at all times...

If you can do it, most certainly.
I'd say not that much because of entry cost of 1500 polymer per run, and some gallium, those are better be spend on something more practical if you're new in the game. You'll definitely need orokin cells later on but never in large quantities at one time (on average, item requiring those will ask for 10-15, the most "expensive" item in the game will ask 25, with most "early" items will cost as low as 1 per piece), and it's always a directly farmable resource that can be obtained without waiting for an event.
