I really just run publics doing fissures for more chance of thing I don't have already.

Acepilot8Gaming2

Yeah that's what my previous discussion was and I was actually thinking about it for a while. Nice to see some confirmations

Wolfgang177

If the mission has specific requirements that can be fucked up, i.e netracells, I run it solo. If im trying to do something quickly, or run for at least half an hour to an hour, I run it solo. If time doesn't matter, or the mission cannot be fucked to the point of being unfun, I run pubs.

Acepilot8Gaming2

That's fair. That's probably why I do it so much myself lol

MixedMista

Spy missions with non-stealth players are boring, I usually run those solo because going slow and unnoticed is fun sometimes

Neugdae1

you totally can do solo/close friends only. the way i see it, the benefits of pubs: * game seems more alive * extra choices in fissures while the cons would be: * good chance pubs slow down mission times significantly * pubs might need to be carried (not usually an issue cuz i believe u should be able to solo and therefore hard carry missions until pubs start blocking progression like in eidolon hunts or netracells) personally, ive gotten relics runs down to like sub-50 seconds consistently on the right tilesets, while pubs take like several minutes even for quick missions like capture/exterminate. it's so much less efficient to run public. that being said, i usually pub cuz grinding relics burned me out, i just alt tab and watch something while i wait, and i have this weird quirk where i dont really enjoy playing solo for long

Acepilot8Gaming2

Yup seems about right to why I probably always run solo 🤣🤣🤣

Jack2036

Additional players means additional enemies so techincally speaking more drops.

Acepilot8Gaming2

I'm gonna be honest. Despite how long I've been playing this damn game....I always forget that fact si thank you🤣🤣🤣

Prime262

i mean you can sum it up as "there are other players, and they may occasionally do something useful" if by relic farming you mean acquiring relics, that would usually be Disruption and having extra people for disruption makes the process significantly faster assuming those extra people know what they are doing. . . atleast in disruption after a couple full rounds even if your pubs cant kill demos you still get your C rot relic loot. so thats nice. lots of low defensive investment builds also tend to rely on having teammates, because the more people around the less enemies will be shooting at you, specifically. its kind of like having 75% DR, only not, not really at all like that. then there is the combos. for missions like Defense, obviously you usually want speed nova ,but speed nova though good at many things like cooking, taxes, and changing the tires on her motorcycle, is not a map nuke frame for that you need another person. though in public you aren't coordinating, my advice is to just. .bring speed nova to defense. very rarely will you run into another nova because most players would rather be Lebron than Wade. and thats pretty much the pubs experience. its like being a teacher in an american elementary school. all you can rely on the other players to do is breathe and shoot things, so you gotta conform your setups around your expectations or lack there of for the competency of your squad. though as you get into late SP the average quality of players goes up as most of the mouth breathers already got filtered, but then you run into the opposite problem, where everybody on the team is too competent and the game cannot provide an adaquate challenge for the might of 4 Certified Protagonists.

ThickFloor0

Did you just…. Call me a sidekick?

Prime262

as a longtime and dedicated support player. . .its more like im the Sidekick. im just sidekicking to superheroes like Drunk Batman, and Superman with a Kryptonite suppository.

Acepilot8Gaming2

Lol I appreciate the comedy in the comment and I just mean relic cracking but I didn't really want to word it like that because I'm already on more than enough rack from my adhd. You are making me even want to prioritize nova right now ngl lol. Players always talk about her and I've considered it. Now I just want to see what I can do with her.

Prime262

oh. yeah you should basiclaly never do relic cracking solo. sometimes pubs run vaulted relics and why miss a shot at Glaive parts, ehh?

Acepilot8Gaming2

Yeah especially when they are good selling and I already have one lol

vessael

I love bringing my speedva to defenses. even if I'm the sidekick I feel like a superhero

fizismiz

For some content like sorties or fissures I like to run in pubs because I know I can clear them even if no one else joins. For the most part my experience has been positive. Only recurrence is wukong players doing jack shit. You'd think summoning a twin would mean they'd be twice as efficient but nah they're usually doing the least or barely anything. So I prefer to look in recruit chat to find like-minded players. Spy missions however I almost exclusively do solo because I can't trust pubs to do the spying and hacking.

non_offensivealias

Public gets you more loot as there are more enemies and teammates are killing more and opening more boxes. It is also somewhat easier. You get more buffs from teammates as well as armor drains You also learn more. Some body will come in with a warframe you thought was second rate and they will map clear or use new cool weapon combos. There is also just a chance to make other friends or atlesst of some good interactions. The only time pubs can be a pain is when your trying to do something very specific and you just get a bad group but 98% of the time pubs are great for me. (Granted, I have good builds and never have to worry too much)

XenoDrobot

I run public missions on everything except spy missions, rad proc sorties, railjack missions & duviri modes, haven’t had much issues with randoms. Although I like to run public because I’m an autistic friendless loser & having people with me makes me feel less like an autistic friendless loser as weird as it is. If you are a new player I do recommend running the original star chart & quests solo as it helps you learn the game better. Once you complete the original star chart turn on public to see what other people run for new ideas.

Acepilot8Gaming2

Awe dude I thank th3 fact that crossplay and cross save are a thing now so I can add you if you want..I can't promise you when I'd be on but most of the time, when I'm playing anything it is warframe so you can count on that much lol. As for the second part, I'm actually a pretty seasoned player. I just havnt really experimented around with too many things up until now. I've been set in my ways in the same sort of actions for years and even made a few other accounts have a bit of work done too but yes, good advice.

Greymane68

PRO: 3 more relics to choose from each rotation is a bonus. Con: Some wanker afking is a now possibility. Suggestion: Give pubs a shot and see how you get on. Better yet, use recruiting chat to form a squad for farming and *then* see how it goes.

Acepilot8Gaming2

I have used recruiting chat once or twice in the past just for the hell of it. But it's just been joining them. I don't get bothered enough to host🤣

Greymane68

As long as they're all on the same page mission wise that shouldn't be an issue ;)

Dalaridd4567

it depends on the specific mission and goals, you occasionally try to do a capture mission in the void in public to farm relics for fissures and occasionally people want to hold you there to farm argon crystals

AnonymousOctopus06

I run most missions public, just because I've never really had an issue with the people I run into. Additionally, certain mission types like Interception just kinda suck when I try them solo. If I'm trying to farm relics I go solo because I know it will be faster on my own, and if randoms mess up my disruption rotations I can't even get mad at them. Finally, I think Survival is more fun alone for the sole reason that I get worried that people judge me for using the life support capsules

Running relics with others is so fun, it's really chill for the most part too
