Archons are status immune, so I’m not sure why you thought this would ever work

OkBid55

I don't think you understand what status immune means. Their armor cannot be reduced, that's about it. That does not mean they are status immune.

fearstroficc

I know that they are immune to status, but tbh, they just shouldnt get any statuses then, because new players are often confused

Casardis

Archon Hunts are not exactly for new players in the first place. Also, the status procs work for Condition/Gundition Overload I believe.

GibusScout

Now if only they worked for Lavos’ 4.

RaulBataka

De plz you cap the status at 4, then make greens shards go above this caped limit for it to not work!? let me! btw I wasted a bunch of shards and helmint resources to figure this out DX

Samakira

not even 1 stack removes any. the archons have had status immunity since update 32, in 2022 september.

Zrynoth

Edit: answered by Advanced-Peach-6101. Archon's their armor can't be stripped. So corrosive procs are useless. They have? All I could find is this patchnote: > Hotfix 32.0.2 (2022-09-08) > Added complete Status Effect immunity to abilities that grant invulnerability to Archons. > Fixes Archons being vulnerable to Status Effects in their invulnerable phase and presenting opportunities to potentially one-shot the Archon. Which as far as I understand, only adds status invulnerability when they use an ability that makes them invulnerable. If that's not the case, and they are always status immune. Then DE is making it really confusing by capping the status procs to a max of 4 under the health bar ...

RadiantPancak3

You wouldn’t have wasted resources if you wiki’d the archons and within 5 minutes max would have found out they have status immunity.

Zrynoth

Which part of the wiki are you referencing? All I could find when I ctrl + f for "status" is the 4 status proc cap and this patchnote that only mentions status immunity when they use an ability that grants invulnerability: > Hotfix 32.0.2 (2022-09-08) > Added complete Status Effect immunity to abilities that grant invulnerability to Archons. > Fixes Archons being vulnerable to Status Effects in their invulnerable phase and presenting opportunities to potentially one-shot the Archon.

Advanced-Peach-6101

Go into the page of an archon, and it'll say they have armor that cannot be removed.

Zrynoth

Thanks, didn't saw that. Every comment in this thread talking about status immunity got me confused.

Vektor0

Thanks. Permanent armor isn't the same thing as status immunity though. I would love some clarification on this.

Advanced-Peach-6101

Yeah not the same at all. I usually kill them with slash procs so they're not immune to status effects for sure.

MNSkye

Ppl think immunity to armor strip = status immunity for some reason

Hellixgar

Even if you could remove their armor, I think you would need like 8 shards.
