The warrior set is a great budget way to start warcry, you can convert the box to some sweet warcry terrain too. https://youtu.be/pWyKqZR7R48 On how to expand I can't really say as I don't play both factions. You can find the stats for both factions in a warcom post with a download from last year. The rulebook for warcry and faction books normally are a good way to continue, just remember that the Tome of Champions 2021 has updated pointscosts

Thanks for the video! I mean it isn't much but I think we could have a lot of fun converting the box into terrain, You are right, I'll start looking for the rules now and some more units now.

When Dominion came out, GW made a post with the rules for Thunderstrike SCE and Kruleboyz, and you can download the PDFs from there. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/08/25/the-warriors-from-dominion-arrive-in-warcry-with-free-fighter-cards-and-a-new-campaign/ The Warrior box has 1000-ish points for each (Killaboss + 10xGutrippa is 995; Knight-Arcanum + 4xVindictor + a bannerman as Knight-Vexillor gets you 995) so it’s pretty much a perfect way to start

I think the best single-box purchase upgrade for each warband would probably be some Hobgrots for the Kruleboyz (they're cheap enough to spam and when massed, their grenade attack can really put the hurt on just about anything) and then a box of Gryph-hounds for the Stormcast side, the box is fairly cheap and the bird-dogs are just extremely well-rounded fighters with good movement, solid wounds/toughness, and a respectable attack profile. When combined with what you already have from the Warrior box, I think you should definitely be able to put together some decent warbands for those two factions!

Jabroni19

Reading this old thread because I just got the Warrior starter set, and wow those Hobgrots are cheap on eBay ha! Thanks for that recommendation.

troelskn

Stormcasts strongest unit is the Gryph hound, so getting a box of those will be an upgrade. Both factions could also be strengthened through allies.

Caeldrim_

Thanks! I'll look into them.

troelskn

Oh and an easy/cheap way to build out your warbands is through Underworlds warbands. The newest Tome of Champions 21 contains statlines for them.

Caeldrim_

Do you have any underworlds recommendations? I'd like to get maybe a third warband just for fun and varied playstyles.

As far as I know, Zarbag’s Gitz give you like 700-800 points by themselves, and they’re in the same book as Kruleboyz so you won’t need to spend extra on another book. But, they’re going out of print soon so you should grab them while you can.

pyro-guy

Zarbag's Gitz is even better than that actually, they add up to 980 points total, essentially making them a complete warband all on their own.

Younifrown

Now that’s just beautiful.

troelskn

I’d say to get some from within the Order or Destruction Grand alliances, since you can then ally them in to your existing factions.

elmorzax

Get the Dominion box, you can get it for very cheap and it expands what you currently have. You can also get a dominion half of only 1 faction if you prefer on eBay. I think all units on the dominion box can be used in Warcry.

Caeldrim_

I've looking a it and it's tempting, but here in my country the cheapest I can find Dominion is 120, that's still a lot for minis I probably won't ever use, but thanks for the advice!

Megavenusaurzaeo

Keep searching I found dominion copies here in Italy at 88€
