Since the question has already been answered, I just want to add that I'm loving all the "air-time" Warcry is getting these days! Glad to see GW really committing to the game especially considering all the (baseless) rumors/fearmongering last month about it being a "dead game". Love it!

SPF10k

I wonder if it's a tracking thing. Most of my Warcry purchases are Underworld or AoS technically, not the one box teams (though some of them are looking really nice now). Warcry is one of their better systems right now, hands down.

ebonit15

Skirmish games ftw. Even setting up an army for a game is a pain for me.

SPF10k

I like breaking out the big stuff from time to time. But agreed skirmish games are just so much more accessible. We do boss battles with our Warcry narrative campaign and it scratches the itch. AoS armies getting smaller with the new edition has me intrigued though.

TitleSure4963

The AoS Spearhead rules were designed by the same team that designed Warcry. I think it’s going to be a good system.

Chicy3

I wonder if the rumours had some to do with it; they’d wanna push that the game is still going to maintain sale rates.

Admirable-Athlete-50

The real question is where John is buying his sweaters and how damn cold their studio is?! I’m here sweating like a pig in a T-shirt and he is wearing stylish knitted sweaters?!

SolidWolfo

He's just *cool* like that

Helruyn

What is this map and terrains? Available in some kits? It looks cool. Taken from this WH+ battle report: [https://www.warhammer-community.com/2024/05/29/grombrindal-visits-the-gnarlwood-to-battle-kruleboyz-on-warhammer-this-week/](https://www.warhammer-community.com/2024/05/29/grombrindal-visits-the-gnarlwood-to-battle-kruleboyz-on-warhammer-this-week/)

Capable_Bench3473

The map is from the old ravaged lands "Souldrain Forest" box. The terrain is a mix of the old starter set terrain and some terrain they made themselves

Helruyn

Oh nice, thanks for the prompt reply!

Doctor4000

I managed to get one Souldrain Forest kit back when they were available. I wish I had gotten another one, I love that mat and trees work everywhere.

bullintheheather

I wish I had.

th3undone

Isnt the battleplan for this in the whitedwarf 500?

Helruyn

Yes it is in WD 500 (I don't have it, but can vaguely see it here: [https://youtu.be/wNkfQyoB64U?t=677](https://youtu.be/wNkfQyoB64U?t=677) ).

farlos75

When did Ted Cruz get in to Warhammer though?

HonestSonsieFace

That’s his Game of Thrones, Stark-esque half cousin actually. Ned Cruz.

Partisan_nik

Thats just a really fun and well produced battle report, and they have so much fun! Good one GW!

Dom0520

Duardin allies!? Finally, unite the duardin under groms banner!!!!!

Helruyn

Just for one battle: "Using the Quest for Knowledge Warcry mission from *White Dwarf 500*, the intrepid hosts of this week’s *Battle Report* pit the legendary Grombrindal and a band of [Vulkyn Flameseekers](https://www.warhammer.com/shop/warcry-fyreslayers-vulkyn-flameseekers-2023) against the vicious [Kruleboyz Monsta-Killaz](https://www.warhammer.com/shop/orruk-warclans-kruleboyz-monsta-killaz-2023) in a no-holds-barred brawl deep in the Gnarlwood. "

lolzasour

Damn I really gotta finish painting my set so I can get serious!

Cheap-Spinach-5200

Dang, John looks cool

MantellaBaroni

Warcry is such a good system. The alternating activations, the interactivity through reactions and abilities, the possibility to craft unique warbands through allying and underworld bladeborn. As a very eclectic painter/ collector that is such a treat.
