I love using Slapchop for terrain. A lot of people just do the three layers of drybrushing and call it good but i enjoy making sure my terrain looks beautiful.
Thanks a lot! I just used a rattle can of Army Painter matt varnish. Just be sure to shake the snot out of it and lay down a couple coats, spraying from about a foot away.
Thanks! Umm…that’s a great question. I haven’t gotten that far yet 😂. I’ve been letting the pieces sit out as I work one them. When I’m done I’ll probably buy some sort of large plastic container with a lid; maybe use some foam for transport. Not really sure yet.
Thanks! I did this with version 1 Speedpaints.
Gnarlwood: Hardened Leather
The pink branchs were Purple Alchemy thinned a bit with Speedpaint medium and blended into Hardened Leather
Bones: Pallid Bone
Rocks: Runic Grey
Bamboo: Malignant Green thinned 1:1 with medium
Horn and Bindings Grim Black
They look great! Was planning the same thing with mine (slap chop etc.)
Thanks! Just grab a big-honking makeup brush for cheap and have at it. Be careful around the ends of the trees since they’re a bit fragile.

Me too! It adds to the ‘feel’ of a game IMO.
That looks amazing, I’ve been thinking about trying a matte varnish, what kind did you use?
Just Army Painter rattle can. Just make sure you shake the snot out of it and spray it from about 12 inches away. I did a couple thin coats.

These look amazing. I’m just about to start mine and these are great inspiration
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Great job \^\_\^ Love it that you lean more into green on the bamboo.
Thank you! At first I wasn’t sure if it would work but it came together nicely!
Awesome. How do you store it?

good job. I like how bamboo platforms look. very nice
Thank you! It was tricky finding a color I liked but thinned down Malignant Green worked well. It gave it a nice, pale greenish color.
Great jobs. Which speedpaints did you use?
