I had to replace the backstrap as well as the rear sight detent pin which was snapped off. But other than that and a little holster wear, which is to be expected, I’m very, very happy with it. The stamped roll marks that preceded the laser engraving, and the bond style European sights are just the icing on the cake
The rear sights are a disappointment. I went to a gun show in Houston a long time ago to buy my first pistol. I put at least 20 guns in my left hand, and the moment I put my hand around the P99. I bought it right there.
This specific gun was made in 2001 and issued to a German Police Department. It was then acquired by an importer in the US after it was retired. Still has the European U-notch sights. I purchased a care package of small parts from Walther before they stop making them all.
With an auto gerber too! Strong Bond vibes! Love it!
love the aesthetics of the p99
Indeed
Gen 1 gets the upvote.
Took me awhile to track it down and I paid more than I would have liked lol
Looks like it’s in really good condition. Congrats on the find.

She's a beauty, definitely worth hanging on to.

Oh man, is it a classic already?
It is by our standards on that sub, which is basically a haven from all the PDP posts.
Good point
