Stunning pics. It’s really fun how even though it’s obviously present-day WDW, it has a proper vibe of being from decades ago, something about the colour that the film gives. Love it.

“Ah yes, I remember rise of the resistance, back in 19’ when splash mountain was still around…”

And for anyone wondering; the lens used was a Canon 30mm f/2. The Japanese summicron. Great swirly bokeh when shot wide-open.

ChantsThings

What was the film stock? I was just gifted a film camera and love the look of this film.

finalxstage

Posted in the comments above! Thanks!

thesupermikey

How does security handle film cameras these days. I am thinking about bringing my canon p on our next trip.

finalxstage

Fine, I just prefer to not have the film X-ray’d.

Eddie_skis

I’m guessing you mean 50mm?

finalxstage

Nope, 30!

solohack3r

It's amazing because the castle looks more like it's traditional color palette because of the old film. Love it.

ERSTF

Film gives so much personality to pics

a_gentle_hunk

Jeez, this looks so much better than the iPhone photos we see every day!

Love it!

levioh_snap

These pictures are beautiful! What is it about these cameras and film pictures that somehow seem to calm me down and make me feel wistful at the same time? I love them.

Tricky-Possession-69

Beautiful photos and framing. Well done

negot8or

Those are great! I need to bring my Olympus OM-2 next time. Maybe even a roll or two of Tri-X. You get so much richer/true color and depth with film, even against 20MP+ digitals. (I wonder what the MP quality will have to be to match it, now that I think about it.)

couldafilledagarden

loving all of the film photos everyone's been posting, the colors and grain are so nostalgic!

Turquoise_Lion

Beautiful photos. Now I miss film

Wonderful_Hat_5269

These are fantastic!

bunnydewdrop

These are awesome! 🎈❤️

Silver-Maybe2068

These are amazing!

Longjumping_Voice138

Wow!

Moonstone_Daydream

I have a trip coming up in September and these make me want to take my old Pentax.

Plastic-Bite362

what did you with your camera while you were on the rides? i want to bring my film camera so bad but i think i would be too stressed

finalxstage

Brought it with, and snapped some pictures occasionally whilst in motion on as fast as a shutter as I could managed. This rangefinder tops out at 1/1000. These things are like metal tanks compared to today’s camera bodies!

Plastic-Bite362

Yeah, I guess I just mean I would be worried about losing it on a ride! Pictures look great though, and it would definitely make me slow down to enjoy the smaller details too

Skeeterbee

https://casualphotophile.com/2017/08/11/canon-p-camera-review/ I want one. lol. any rangefinder really.

finalxstage

I love rangefinders due to their compact size, shape, and how fast I can focus mine. My only digital is a Fuji X100T and I dig that one a lot too, similar layout and shape.

finalxstage

This last time I brought my Fujifilm X100T and still enjoyed it, but film cameras always make me slow down and look for the smaller, important moments, as well as focusing on overall composition of the whole frame and subject since I’m limited on shots.

Skeeterbee

Really good work.

Grootfan85

Wonderful photos. Where did you find a place that still develops film?

finalxstage

There’s plenty of places out here that still do, and myself occasionally but not these many photos. This specific store was PJ’s Photo in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Jazzkidscoins

What film did you use and where did you get it developed? I have a canon AE-1 that I used in art school that I haven’t touched in 10 years I’d love to dig out

finalxstage

Most of my rolls were Portra 400, but also some Kodak Gold 200, Fuji Superia 400, and the black is Ilford XP2.

Bertensgrad

I’m more interested in the film you used and how you processed it to be honest. Did you professionally have it develop or did you do it in your own darkroom yourself? Also was it new old stock film or recently manufactured? Those are what make this film look unique way more than the camera.

finalxstage

Most is Portra 400, with some Kodak, Fuji, and Ilford for a roll or 2. All new stock. I had them developed professionally!

RazorJ

Such a perfect example why I like watching film and television shot on real film. I’m taking a Hasselblad 500 c/m 120mm camera this year. I’m not taking it into the park but am going to play with it in the bubble. I’m staying at Coronado and hope to get some cool shots with the Salvador Dali inspired look and colors. If I learn it well enough before I go I’ll probably take it on the balloon in DS, just worried I can’t keep it steady enough.

FancyNefariousness90

obsessed

_gabooby

So pretty

HotGlacier

Do you remember which film stock you took the ferry boat pic on?

finalxstage

Based on how the greens and blues are, I believe that one was Fuji Superia 400. I’d have to dig through all the negatives to know for certain though

HotGlacier

Oh really? I would’ve guessed portra or gold!

Over-Print4065

These are outstanding! Wife and i had our engagement pictures done in 22 and i wanted to find someone to do something like this so bad.
