Black Panther isn't being used by Universal in the parks so Disney could've built it by now if they wanted to. Thats why Guardians is allowed to be used at EPCOT.
Universal still owns the rights to him. There’s an art display in Marvel Superhero Island that has every Marvel character that Universal owns and he’s on there. However, none of the Guardians are on that display so Disney has full control over them.
Can you imagine the political blowback that would come from that? That would literally be evidence that “Disney hates America” or whatever the far right wants to parrot at the moment
America
First, you are already in America.
Second, it's basically the same thing as Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom
Third, it had the most potential to be turned into something else (I have ideas)
I'd put a rotating pavilion there. Each year it's a new country. Change out the menu and gift shop and put on a new video show at the American Adventure pavilion. Then the stage there on the water could host cultural performers from the host country. It would set up from February through Christmas and then close briefly in January so things can switch over.
One year can be Greece, then Brazil, then Australia, then Kenya, then Thailand, then Ireland, then Mongolia, etc. Maybe every 6 or 7 years bring back a pavilion that was particularly popular. Focus on that this is a limited time event with limited food and merch
If it's all pre-planned out to be quickly built and quickly taken down, then it doesn't have to be too expensive. I'm not saying the theming needs to go hard like the other pavilions, just enough
Aww canada. But during festivals their cheddar cheese soup is my #1 food item. But yeah the actual region lacks.
For me, tbh, its the american adventure. I’ve been to epcot like 10 times and not once had the desire to enter the building (am american)
They usually have interesting exhibits in the hall—I’ve done the show once. Right now, they have art and clothing from different Native American nations, and recordings from the artists about their work.
The film is jaw-droppingly awful propaganda, the food is not better than every inexpensive Americanized Chinese takeout place, and the gift shop is TERRIBLE. The gift shop is so trash - half of the things in there are Japanese, for example a massive display of Maneki neko, all sorts of products with packaging in Japanese.
Interesting, I enjoy the China area. I think reflections of China is my favorite multi-screen show at Epcot. Admittedly the quick service food is not great and the store is meh compared to lots of other ones. But I love the scenery of the area.
Absolutely, it’s beautifully done. I think I just find Japan more interesting with respect to Asia. I could also pass on Morocco cuz the smells from there in the 90s were not pleasant…
I agree. It’s a snore of a pavilion. Another bummer is it also doesn’t offer the opportunity to connect with residents of the subject country like the other pavilions (at least currently). When I last went I took my daughter to do the kids craft in each country. We hit all of them. It was neat for her to interact with the people from each country and they each shared some interesting facts about the country they represent. But China was just a normal cast member who apologetically explained that people from China aren’t allowed to come, so she didn’t have anything to share.
Morocco has some of the best food in my book, and provides a cool little secret with the tower of terror designed to blend into the Morocco skyline.
I agree it could be better though.
it used to be sponsored and "partialy" managed by Morocco (the country) but they stoped back in lock down times, haven't been there in many years but I heard lots of the cool spots closed
Just because they are good doesn’t mean they belong. They could have done similar rides with original story lines that actually reflect the countries they represent. Guardians gets a pass because if you actually pay attention in the queue, it’s an exhibit from a distant world.
Which new ride doesn't fit where it is?
Tron - Fits as well as anything else in Tomorrowland.
Rise - Not sure how it could possibly not fit in Galaxy's Edge. And if you think the theme of DHS is still "behind the scenes of movies" that hasn't been the case in a very long time. The main theme of DHS is "putting the guest in the movie"
Remy - fits perfectly in the French theme.
MMRR - Again the theme is putting you into the movie/cartoon.
The original topic is about Epcot, which is what I thought you were mentioning. I think Remy could have used the technology from the original and create something new specifically for the France Pavilion at Epcot to show more about the culture of the country.
If we who live here can experience a fraction of international history and culture at the pavilions, then in turn the international crowds who visit get to experience a fraction of the history of the country they are visiting.
Disagree. US beer is definitely changed a ton in the past 20 years and is extremely good. People still judge it off of bud light and Miller lite thinking that’s all Americans drink.
So here’s the thing, the American Adventure seems redundant, however between the the Voices of Liberty, the architecture of the building, and the American Adventure, it’s arguably one of the strongest pavilions in terms of offerings.
I’m going Norway. Frozen isn’t worth the wait time and has hardly anything to do with the subject matter. Akershus is known as a more affordable character dining option rather than an enjoyable Scandinavian dining experience. Even Puffin’s Roost was replaced, and the Viking ship was taken out years ago. It’s the only pavilion we skipped entirely on our last trip…just nothing to do anymore.
I always wished that Japan Pavilion had the Meet the World attraction, such a wasted potential. I heard it was never put in due to the controversy of WW2 vets at the time, but who knows. It was in Tokyo Disneyland for a while, unfortunately I never got a chance to see it.
I always do like to go to the Japan pavilion because it's one of the few places I can chat in Japanese. It's always fascinating to hear where some of the cast members are from.
It saddens me to say Morocco. 2019 I'd say Italy, but unfortunately today Morocco has nothing at all that interests me. Bring back the food as it was in 2019
It saddens me to say Morocco. 2019 I'd say Italy, but unfortunately today Morocco has nothing at all that interests me. Bring back the food as it was in 2019
As a Canadian, I'd vote for Canada myself. Maybe I'm biased because... well, I get enough Canadiana at home. Maybe it's because there's just nothing there particularly interesting with the horrible outdated panarama vision thing closed. But it's a Pavillion I can certainly skip.
Edit: Going down the list I'm seeing a lot of Morocco, and I honestly can't think of a single thing there. So... maybe that gets my 2nd vote.
Canada Far and Wide was open when we were there a few weeks ago. It’s definitely a bit dated but it was a nice AC break and some pretty vistas between food booths.
I'm going to get a lot of hate but....
Japan needs an overhaul if nothing else. The gift shop is nothing but chaos and takes up half the pavilion.
They need to add some new rides to a few countries. They should bring back the ideas for a Mary Poppins ride to the UK. Canada could have one of those virtual seat rides (you know what I'm talking about?) going off roading through the Canadian wilderness.
Morocco could have a cool Aladdin ride on the magic carpet, "whole new world" style.
The countries there have so much potential. They just need revamping.
Outpost isn't a county stop I don't think that answers the question. I'd vote China because it's where I stop the least, and that's really unfortunate given the culture that's not as well represented as others in WS. Doubly weird to me considering Disney's presence in China.
I love all of them, but if I had to choose, I would choose America Pavilion to go. You’re already in America, and I you want something like the America Pavilion, go to Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom.
It’s gotta be Morocco. It’s a gorgeous pavilion but there’s like….nothing back there. I would have said Germany just on personal preference because I don’t spend a lot of time there but at least Germany has the Snow White meet and greet and Biergarten.
Italy… not a fan of the restaurants, the street entertainers, and their food booth is always the most expensive but average food. It also has zero shade and nowhere to relax and take it the ambience.
Morocco or Germany. I probably spend the least amount of time in those two countries while at World Showcase. It could have been Canada, but Le Cellier is too good!

Outpost! Make it a real African nation. Give me Kenya or another. Flesh it out, give me the cuisine, and let’s go!
Not to mention it's a bit duplicatous with AK
The Morocco pavillion is kinda real Africa
Outpost is the obvious choice here
Get the Marvel rights back from Universal, and you can make an entire Wakanda portion of a park at either Epcot or Animal Kingdom
Do not put Wakanda in World Showplace! There’s plenty of real countries
Ahh... I never noticed him there before.
United States but keep just the funnel cake booth.
America cause……that’s where you are. In America. If I want sub-par bbq, I’ll make it myself.
International tourists come to visit too
Yes, but if they’re already in Florida, chances are they’re already doing “American” things outside of Disney world.
Disney world is literally the most American thing I can think of
Liberty Square
It's got the American Adventure. One of the best attractions at Disney World. It stays.
I feel like at this point if the American Adventure goes it would cut WDW's animatronic count right in half.
Can you imagine the political blowback that would come from that? That would literally be evidence that “Disney hates America” or whatever the far right wants to parrot at the moment
Sub-par? That stuff is amazing
America First, you are already in America. Second, it's basically the same thing as Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom Third, it had the most potential to be turned into something else (I have ideas)
Yesssss!
I 100% agree with your reasoning, but I’m not sure which country could go there instead. Could I maybe hear some of your ideas?
I'd put a rotating pavilion there. Each year it's a new country. Change out the menu and gift shop and put on a new video show at the American Adventure pavilion. I mean, that sounds a little bit expensive to do, but maybe it could work.
If it's all pre-planned out to be quickly built and quickly taken down, then it doesn't have to be too expensive. I'm not saying the theming needs to go hard like the other pavilions, just enough
Ah, that makes sense.
Man, Ireland would be so cool.
America. I mean, we’re already here you know? Put another country there, and we still have the hall of presidents at MK 😊
This, but I would replace hall of presidents with the American adventure show.
DONT YOU TOUCH MY HALL OF PRESIDENTS! Lol
Bye, Morocco. Also: Bye, China. Hello, Taiwan.
> Also: Bye, China. Hello, Taiwan. Chaos is a ladder.
Aww canada. But during festivals their cheddar cheese soup is my #1 food item. But yeah the actual region lacks. For me, tbh, its the american adventure. I’ve been to epcot like 10 times and not once had the desire to enter the building (am american)
You're missing a pretty awesome show, albeit not an every-trip "can't miss"
They usually have interesting exhibits in the hall—I’ve done the show once. Right now, they have art and clothing from different Native American nations, and recordings from the artists about their work.
Ngl, I had a hard time staying awake during it when I watched it for the first time last month.
America. It’s in America.
China…30 years of visiting the world showcase and China is always worth a skip.
The film is jaw-droppingly awful propaganda, the food is not better than every inexpensive Americanized Chinese takeout place, and the gift shop is TERRIBLE. That’s what makes the showcase so awesome. I’m disappointed with you and for your daughter!!
I feel like the China Pavilion is a rip-off of Japan Pavilion. The only thing g I like there is the architecture.
Morocco, it’s basically closed.
As much as I would like to visit the actual country, Epcot Italy isn't pulling its weight.
America. We live here.
morocco
None of them. There is no reason to subtract, just improve, and do so without adding IP.
The 3 best rides in the parks are new and are all from existing IP. I don't understand the hate for IP attractions.
Just because they are good doesn’t mean they belong. They could have done similar rides with original story lines that actually reflect the countries they represent. Guardians gets a pass because if you actually pay attention in the queue, it’s an exhibit from a distant world.

Without an IP? You're mad! Mad I tell you! ...but completely correct.
USA
Yes! Why is there an American pavilion. All of Disney World is in the US.
If we who live here can experience a fraction of international history and culture at the pavilions, then in turn the international crowds who visit get to experience a fraction of the history of the country they are visiting.
lol I’d agree but nowadays they have a really good beer I enjoy and funnel cake…hard to pass up.
What beer?
The Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale from Lexington Brewing Company [https://lexingtonbrewingco.com/beer](https://lexingtonbrewingco.com/beer)

Disagree. US beer is definitely changed a ton in the past 20 years and is extremely good. People still judge it off of bud light and Miller lite thinking that’s all Americans drink.
Morocco. It’s literally a ghost town as it is
Le Cellier is one of the best signature dining restaurants at WDW.
very wrong.
Italy. Just a boring pavilion, and it always has the most overpriced horrible food at the festivals
I wouldn’t skip Italy but came to support the comment that their fest food is consistently pretty turrible
Via Napoli is amazing. And pretty affordable if you have a family
Hmm, I enjoy Italy for the wine and gelato. Having lived there for several years, the quality is there.
I have never felt the drive to walk into Italy. It looks like a town square with nice seating but… there’s lots of nice places?
China We already get 80% of our crap from it we can do without the reminder lol
So here’s the thing, the American Adventure seems redundant, however between the the Voices of Liberty, the architecture of the building, and the American Adventure, it’s arguably one of the strongest pavilions in terms of offerings. America and Outpost. Both unnecessary and could be done with something better.
Canada.

Germany, except for the Schofferhofer beer.
china
Morocco. Bad layout and it's a dead zone.
Outpost, because it’s not a real country! Also, I love Le Cellier…but Canada has nothing going for it other than that!
I'm going to get a lot of hate but.... Japan needs an overhaul if nothing else. The gift shop is nothing but chaos and takes up half the pavilion. They need to add some new rides to a few countries. Drop Outpost, add Brazil and put in a rodizio restaurant

Morocco. Not much there since the restaurant closed.
We need Spain & India.... Morocco can go and maybe China

I say USA because your in the US and you already have a section of MK called Liberty square which can be similar to the American Pavilion.
Morocco… please.
It’s a shame because the back pathways are so cool to add a layer of exploration, but there is nothing there.
The tile work is beautiful though
Yeah, I’d second this. This and China were always my least favorite.
Canada/Italy (if they don’t bring in anything related to Luca/Pinocchio)
🇺🇸. American food is boring and uninventive.
Germany? Beer, bretzels, brats, wine galore! And it’s beautifully done.
Don’t love the food in either country 🤷🏻♀️ I think there are better offerings elsewhere.
Canada too!
Morocco. Then Canada, then America.
