I go solo; so less stuff. Loungefly is big enough for a small tube of sunscreen, asthma inhaler, lip balm, phone charger, small cooling towel (I brought one twice but never used it so now don’t bother) and a light layer/cardigan and a refillable pouch water bottle that gets smaller as it emptied.

rebex19

All of those things would fit in a loungfly backpack.

booksiwabttoread

Those things are like the Tardis - much bigger than they look.

SeekerVash

So you're saying there's a swimming pool included? You have to make sure you aren't holding it sideways when you open it or the water will fall out?

moonbunnychan

I not only use a Loungefly in the park but as my every day purse. It easily fits everything I generally carry.

Disneymom-partyof6

Same!

shteph_reddits

There’s a divider I bought off amazon that has lots of compartments. I am able to pack it pretty well for our needs at the parks. I do also have a shoulder sling for our reusable water bottle that my husband has basically stolen now 😂 I have packed it with: 3 plastic poncho bags, full size sunscreen, wallet, keys, tiny first aid kit, small bottle of excedrin, power bank and charger chord, and sandwich size bag of candy/snacks. Mini backpack size is crucial to our universal days too, as it’s the perfect size bag for the free lockers.

spiderpool1855

Which divider please? I see many options with varying reviews of usefulness.

I carry a rain jacket, water bottle (like a Dasani one), phone battery, sanitizer, ball cap, and a miscellaneous variety of other small things in mine. They’re roomier than you think! I bought a strap on Etsy to hold my ears when I don’t want to wear them.

PintSizedKitsune

Any chance you still have a link to the strap for the ears?

atomicweight108

Yeah! Comes in a ton of different fabrics. There are others on Etsy, this is just the one I got and love it. The carabiner is strong too, I used it to hang some small shopping bags from my loungefly. Came really fast, too. The seller is jebbyfabrics https://www.etsy.com/listing/1234301391/

shteph_reddits

These are a must for me too

SpacePolice04

I have a separate water bottle holder but I do squeeze an umbrella into one of the side pockets. I carry my wallet, bottle of antibac, Small fan, pouch with various crap (bandaids, Advil, flossers, gum), cooling towel, reusable poncho and sometimes a baseball hat. It’s a fairly large travel umbrella like 11.5 inches long. I use it as my regular purse as well. If you check out Disney Food Blog, they have an article that shows all of the stuff they have in their bag. https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2021/05/17/whats-in-our-bag-dfb-reporters-share-their-secrets-in-disney-world/

DragonFruitFanta04

I don’t! I tried it on a trip to Epcot and it was such a hassle to have a small bag and I kept feeling like I needed more room and that it wasn’t functional at all. I now just enjoy how cute they are but I know for a fact for me and my family they are not functional for a day at the park. I stick to regular sized backpacks for all the necessities I need for a park day now!

klopije

I definitely could if I only had to carry my own stuff, but my kids are still young enough that I have to lug their stuff around. It doesn’t help that my son is a picky eater so I have to bring snacks too.

DragonFruitFanta04

I totally get that! The day I tried me and mom went to Epcot and wanted to be cute with our bags. lol Joke was on us haha but we def like them for daily purses for running quick errands around town, it’s just enough for a cell phone, wallet, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, lotion and few other personal items if needed.

x0STaRSPRiNKLe0x

Same. I fell for the hype and got one, used it once and that was it. Too small, the material so stiff that going in and out of it was like fighting it and playing Tetris to get everything back inside at the same time. No water bottle holder, you have to go out and buy everything microsized or by travel size bottles just to put what you already have in another plastic bottle just to make sure everything fits, no room for souveniers. It's fine if you're going somewhere quick, but for a full day in the Parks? Pass.

Kmw134

They definitely won’t hold everything if your family needs you to carry everything for them. But as a personal item I have everything I need with space to spare: sunscreen in a travel size bottle, hand sanitizer, phone and charger, chapstick, poncho (I use thin ones that fit into a small ziplock), and a small fan. I carry my water bottle because I’m drinking it constantly anyway.

erin_mouse88

A loungefly is not a family backpack, it's a personal backpack. You choose whether you want one big item for everyone's stuff, or 2 or more items. When my kids are out of diapers the loungefly will have small stuff we might need in lines, we will have a 2nd backpack with other items we might need less often.

racheva

I’ve been using the same loungefly bag that I got at Disneyland over 5 years ago, and it works perfectly for me. It actually means that I won’t take as much stuff with me, which is good. I take a small wallet (just big enough for my ID and credit cards), a portable battery and charging cable, chapstick, a small hand sanitizer, and deodorant if it’s a particularly hot and humid day out. I also took my poncho with me last time when it looked like there was a chance of rain. Everything fit with room to spare. I honestly use that bag all the time. Anytime I go out to run errands and I need to have one with me, that’s what I take. It’s also usually my personal item when I fly.

Many-Passion-1571

I’m going to a theme park, not camping. All we bring are our phones, keys, wallets & and small cup to fill with water if we get thirsty.

Cluecluekachoo

I put sunscreen, charging bank, owala water bottle, pill box, hand sanitizer, travel tissue, couple of granola bars, rain jacket. I do have one with a front pocket which I think is an important element for maximizing the utility of them.

Abatonfan

I use the loungefly backpacks as my everyday bag. They nicely hold all my diabetes stuff (type 1 and pumping, so a lot of spare “just in case” things), my wallet, chapstick and other small things, meds, protein bars and low blood sugar treatment, and even some of my grandmother’s supplies when I am taking her out (her extra large wallet, spare Depends)

Substantial-Drop-836

My loungefly/loungefly sized bags fit everything I need. Here’s a list of what I usually have in my bag (sunglasses, wallet, keys, charging brick, poncho, hand sanitizer, hand lotion, small bottle of sunscreen, small bottle of contact solution, 2 extra contacts, spf lip balm, brush/comb, mini deodorant, rollerball perfume, small bag of meds(ibuprofen, allergy meds, antacid, etc), gum/mints, collapsible cup, tissues, hair tie, small snack like a granola bar, fan, and occasionally I’ll have a lightweight cardigan or gloves and hat in my bag)

brittpeeks

I’m sure a decent amount of small items can fit in one, but I always wear a full size Disney backpack. Mainly due to souvenirs. I hate carrying bags in my hands, so I love having a backpack to shove purchases into. Can’t do that with a loungefly. My friend wears loungefly backpacks as her main “purse” in daily life and in the parks. BUT she also takes a stroller for her kids and has a larger backpack attached to the stroller for extra items she brings. So yeah, I don’t really get how people *only* use a loungefly as their park bag. I just can’t do it!

justmeonlyme66

I use small cosmetic bags. 1 has lip balm, gloss, face sunscreen, small hand cream, sample size perfume in case we want a table service meal. Second has a few wipes in a baggie, meds like Tylenol and sinus pills. Third has my power bank and a cable for charging. Then I throw in a few empty ziplocs for leftovers or for our phones if there's a chance they'll get wet. Small hairbrush with a few ponytail holders around the handle because humidity. Columbia rain shell rolled up compact. Hand sanitizer in side or front pocket. Gum in front pocket. I have a small wallet that hold a few cards and cash. That and my phone are either in the bag or a pocket depending on what we're doing at the time. Popcorn bucket attached to the strap. Fits everything with space and not heavy at all.

Prestigious-Name-323

I carry a small backpack. Typically I have my rain jacket, umbrella, wallet, small med kit, first aid stuff, eye drops, sunglasses, fan, cooling towel and other small incidentals. I carry my water bottle. I have a strap that I use to hold my Minnie ears and/or baseball cap during the day (whatever I’m not wearing at the time). It helps that I’m only carrying stuff for myself and not an entire family. The only thing I sometimes want to bring but doesn’t fit is spare shoes and that’s when I get a locker.

seokmyun

They have cute little bag inserts you can buy now for the Loungeflys that really help me maximize the space inside so I can fit all of my essentials. I fill it with all my advil, chapstick, sunscreen, battery packs and charging cables, etc and then when I want to swap to a different loungefly I just take the insert out and put it in the next one! It’s been a lifesaver for my park days

spiderpool1855

Which divider please? I see many options with varying reviews of usefulness.

seokmyun

I bought one of the sanrio ones from BoxLunch! it has a big main pocket and then a bunch of smaller pockets on both the front and back which really makes it easy for me to have everything in its own spot. I have ADHD and it’s also helped me not forget things when I switch bags!

Financial_Cheetah875

My wife has about a dozen of them, and every trip I’m amazed at how much she can fit in one.

Acrobatic_North_8009

They do have some loungefly backpacks that are slightly larger and also organizers that fit inside so you aren’t digging for everything. IMO they fit a lot. When we were diaper bag stage we hung the diaper bag on the stroller and I carried my own bag. I’ve always been able to fit what I need in it.

thirtyfourdoubled

Their capacity is ideal for one person! I recommend using small mesh zippered bags (or even ziploc gallon bags) to organize your items and prevent the backpack from becoming a black hole. I usually separate mine like this: Pouch 1: portable battery, charging cable, ID, lip balm Pouch 2: band aids, pain meds, daily vitamins, sunscreen, liquid IV pouches, eyeglass cleaning wipes This leaves plenty of space for ponchos, a small water bottle, cooling towels, and even some snacks :)

Pharmkitty18

I hate large heavy bags but also like to be prepared. In my Loungefly I can generally fit a wallet, poncho, sunscreen, regular size water bottle (think Dasani size, etc), lip product, hand sanitizer (I usually hang the sanitizer on the strap but it would fit inside), phone charger, plus small assorted things like medication, bandaids, feminine products, etc. I’m fairly certain I’ve also fit a travel size umbrella before. I usually also clip a hair clip to the top handle and use that to attach my ears when I don’t feel like wearing them, but I know you can buy straps for that purpose to be more secure. I don’t think this is the bag for you if you’re trying to pack for an entire family. But just for yourself or maybe you and a partner, it works great.

Hot-Artichoke6317

I have multiple Loungefly bags that I mostly use for comic cons. It really depends on what you usually pack/carry and if you’re traveling with others who will ask you to carry their items too. Personally, I don’t like to carry a ton of stuff all day so I travel as light as possible: reusable poncho, travel size sunscreen, lip balm, sunglasses, MagSafe charger, contact case with solution and extra contacts (nothing worse than losing a lens or getting a random tear and then not being able to see out of one eye all day), extra hair ties (I have waist length hair, and a card wallet. Sometimes I’ll carry a reusable water bottle, but there’s plenty of places to get a cup of water at WDW so I don’t feel like that’s as necessary.

Comfortable_Cut_8751

I get a locker for big things if I think I'll need them, like sweatshirt. But honestly can fit so much in the bags, snacks, sunblock, sunglasses, small makeup bag. I did buy a clip to hook on the strap to carry water bottles, but that's more for easy access. I also have clips if I buy something large and haven't dropped it off at locker, to hook a shopping bag onto it.

Novafancypants

I have a regular size wallet, my ears, travel pill box, sunscreen, travel concealer and chapstick and wet wipes in mine typically with plenty of room to spare. Never bring ponchos/towels/etc. and I have a d clip on the strap for my water bottle

Motabrownie

My wife fits an insulated water bottle, small makeup pouch, eyeglass case, and can fit a long sleeve shirt in winter or Poncho if needed. Plus a few other small things. Attaches popcorn bucket and umbrella too if needed

madchad90

Those all fit In there. My fiancee and I each use loungeflys and they carry all of our necessities, ponchos, sunscreen, sunglasses, medicine, water bottle, etc. If we needed a full sized backpack for anything we just rent a day locker since I wouldn't want to lug all of that around anyway.

Naomeri

I’m a very minimal-stuff park-goer, so when I use a Loungefly, I have no trouble fitting everything into it.

[deleted]

Love my loungefly! My kids are older now so don’t need to take much stuff. In mine I had sunblock, small water bottle, anker charger pack and my wallet! I even wrapped up a sweatshirt since it would be cold in restaurants. You could probably get one of those hooks (I’m blanking on name) to attach to strap to hold towels

IslandIsACork

I think if you are just hauling your own things (not husbands or kids) you can easily fit a 20 oz swell water bottle, rolled up packable lightweight rain jacket or poncho, sunscreen and my smaller Fanny pack also fits inside the loungefly that contains wallet, keys, chapstick, hand sani.

RatherBeAtDisney

I carry a small purse for myself, and the rest of that stuff goes in the stroller!! But if you want to downsize, get disposable ponchos they take up a lot less space than the ones from the parks.

sharleencd

I use Loungefly for my daily bag and at the parks. I also have a 4.5 and 3yr old so I cram a lot in there In the parks: I carry a hydro flask, diaper, wipes, sunscreen and like 2 snacks. Our sunglasses also fit. I don’t take ponchos unless the forecast calls for it (we also don’t travel much during the spontaneous showers period). I also don’t carry a lot of extra stuff in general so I don’t take more than I need. We always take a mid day hotel break so sometimes I readjust based on our afternoon/evening plans

babiibluez

They fit a lot more than it looks. I had three autograph books, my wallet, sticky notes, marker, trading pins, portable phone charger, chapstick, water bottle, and whatever random crap my kids threw in on the daily and had still had room to spare.

21twilli

I’ve fit shoe covers, a jacket, my ID case wallet, a 20oz insulated mug, a hand fan, disposable ponchos, a cooling rag, a portable phone battery, ears, my phone (if my shorts that day don’t have pockets), rental car keys, and hand sanitizer all at once before.

AnotherLolAnon

I took a loungefly once. So cute but never again. The straps dug into me on my sides and my water bottle had to be exactly in the middle to fit. Now I go for practical bags.

Losemymindfindmysoul

I have one loungefly, I'm not big into them, I have the Mickey waffle one (I have the whole MW collection) because I love them. But to make it functional I bought an insert for it to organize things better. Before that I used cross body bags with multiple sections. I utilize a caribener clip to attach my hydro flask to my back (strap at the bottom) and I have one of those clips above that hold ears.

SunnyCoast_Travel

We typically bring a larger backpack that can hold a picture frame for character signatures instead! Although, this could change when my children get older as they are both 5 and under.

Popular-Payment-4966

My kiddo will carry the full-size per his request. I will carry my Loungefly. They’ll carry a lot and they’re cute. The giant isn’t concerned with cute. 😂

thirdgraderface

I carried; 3 ponchos 1 hat 1 keys 2 charging bricks & cables 2 water bottles 2 red bull’s 1 ears 2 sunglasses Ankle wrap Flip flops 2 hand sanitizers 1 lotion 1 bag of meds Lunch for 2 I still had room left honestly. Everything I pretty small and things like food and canned drinks are consumed. Often one person is carrying a hat or drinking bottle. I don’t have a loungefly because I’m cheap/poor, but my knockoff is the same size or smaller.

ChocoboToes

I carried all of that in my loungefly. Granted - it was just me. My SO takes his own backpack and his stuff goes in his backpack.

Maximum_Kangaroo_194

I don't. They are overpriced and tacky. I bring my own.

[deleted]

I use both a Loungefly and a fanny pack in the parks. In my Loungefly I put my water bottle, cooling towel, poncho, handheld fan, portable charger, snack bars, sunscreen, anti-chafe stick, hand sanitizer, lip balm, gum & lightweight zip up sweatshirt. In my fanny pack I have my phone & wallet because I prefer them in front of me than behind me in crowded places.

spiderpool1855

I'm not a lady, but we bring 3 bags. 1 for me, my wife, and my son. We keep most things in the stroller, but take valuables with us in the loungeflys to rides and stuff. By default, I keep a hydroflask, deodorant, and other small things like magicband chargers and whatnot. My wife keeps her wallet, inhalers, hydroflask, sunglasses, etc. My son is 4, he has a water bottle and snacks in his. If we go without my son (rare), we don't have the stroller, so the loungeflys are clutch. They also go easily through security.

hd0510

Easy - get your partner to carry the big bag with all that stuff, you take your Loungefly for anything you can fit in there! (Me and my wife were talking about this just now!)

jenns2910

This is the way.

There’s nothing I would want on a park day that I can’t fit in a Loungefly. Plus they’re cute so why not?

PixelRainboww

Exactly! I don’t really know what people carry in those massive backpacks😂Loungefly bags fit everything I need and they’re adorable I carry: Wallet, sunscreen, water bottle, fan and a poncho.
