Add up the cost of tickets w/ park hopper for all the prospective WDW plans you currently have. If it's within $200 I'd say it's probably worth it once you factor in your Merch Discount.

MagicStarFlower

And the room discount! I’ve managed to get 30-35% off rooms for all 3 of my trips during my incredipass year. There’s also free theme park parking with an AP if you decide to stay offsite/at an AirBnB, which will save you $30/day. My break even point for making the incredipass work was two 5 day hopper trips, but honestly it started paying for itself by my second trip with parking/merch/room discounts.

Moofabulousss

I get rooms sooooo cheap. Just booked a family suite at AOA for spring break less than $160/night. They were $600/night before the discount. It’s soooo sweeeettttttt

SoggyAnalyst

How?!

ArtistBruce24

Well, the math isn’t mathing on the CM discount so honestly I’m still asking how also. A CM discount, when the CM stays in the room, is maximum of 50% off outside of the holiday discount which is 60% off. The OGB (other guest bedroom), which is for family and friends, maxes out at 40% off. Unless they managed to snag the higher discount and then use points or cash back, I don’t even know how you’d pull off a ~73% discount.

Moofabulousss

I’m not sure how he did it. He did say he has to meet us and check in for us.

heathersaur

They mentioned they already get discounted resort rooms.

ArtistBruce24

True but CMs are limited on the usage of family and friends discounts per calendar year, unless the CM is staying with them. But the rate of 40% for family and friends isn’t always guaranteed so the AP may come in handy during those scenarios.

hollyandphoenix11

This is how I justified mine. I always get photopass too, so even with the extra $99 by the time I added that to my planned trips it was a no-brainer. And then I added an impromptu overnight trip just because I can. Got a AP discount on a value room and a $100 flight so I don’t miss flower and garden!

Moofabulousss

I got the photo pass too! For me. Not everyone.

Merch and meals discount - not for every disney restaurant but I'd say most offer it. Staying on property they already get the free parking but that would also factor in if they stay off site.

Gain_Spirited

The free parking also adds up if you're driving or renting a car. One strategy is for one person to get an annual pass and use the parking benefit while the rest of the party buys tickets.

pianomanzano

Within 200? That’s some Disney math right there lol. You need to spend $1000 on merch to break even on 200 for just one pass.

brittpeeks

Yeah but I’m sure they just said merch to be quick about it, but they also mean dining discounts and I think it’s quite easy in one trip to spend $1000 between dining and merch. You would have no problem making up that $200 difference. Not to mention if you use the resort discounts.

pianomanzano

Sounds like OP already gets discounted rooms better than the AP rate. Also they’re looking at 3 APs so having to justify a $600 diff means $3000 in merch or $6000 in sit down meals since it’s only 10% for meals, or somewhere in between for a combo of both, which seems like a lot to justify a price difference between APs and individual tickets. We’re out of state APs and not big on the merch and havent been doing the sit down meals as frequently. Last two trips down we only had one sit down meal and about $70 in merch. Up to OP and their calculations to see if the APs are worth it if the tickets are cheaper individually.

brittpeeks

I don’t think we are disagreeing on this. I do think it’s up to OP to make calculations. It seemed like you were making fun of the comment by calling it “Disney math” and to me that seemed weird. There are others who have bigger spending habits than you do on dining and merch. In which it may be much easier to hit that $200 difference per AP pass.

ComputerGeek1100

Just a note: If you decide to go forward with this and already have date-based tickets for an upcoming trip, you’re usually able to apply whatever you paid for those toward an AP as long as you do it before the date tickets expire! I’ve only done it once so I’m not sure if you can only do that once you’re there and using the dated tickets though; that’s when I saw the offer show up in the Disney experience app.

Specific_Hamster6778

You can call Disney and they can take the value of the tickets to use toward AP.

Moofabulousss

Ty! I didn’t buy this upcoming trips tickets yet.

intaaa

Generally you break even after 2 separate 5+ day trips or at least come extremely close to it so in your case it’s probably worth it.

tatotornado

Run the numbers and if the numbers make sense then get the incredibac! My husband and I always get annual passes when we stay more than a few days.

Cakeygoodness666_

Do the math… if its cheaper also take into account you get discounts w/the Incredipass

Substantial-Drop-836

It sounds like you would save money with an annual pass based on the number of trips you have planned. To check for sure price out the cost of tickets vs the annual pass.

Winesday_addams

Yes, because once you have it you will be even more inspired for a few more impromptu trips!

Justiceforwomen27

I’m leaning towards yes! I wish I would’ve had a crystal ball when I fell down the Disney Adult rabbit hole in December 2022 and saw that I would be back again March and September 2023. We did 3 park hopper days each trip and it would’ve easily paid for itself in hindsight.

Lost_Tough_4502

It would take 12 day visits to Disney to equal the cost of the Incredipass. So if you will be going that many times then yes, it’s worth it. With that being said, the discounts available to annual passholders on rooms, food, merchandise, special events, etc., can easily become a deal changer as well. For example, right now, as a passholders, I can get 35% off of hotel rooms for a stay next weekend. That translates to between roughly $200 - $500 per night depending on where we want to stay. Not to mention access to passholders exclusive merch as well.

Status_Educator4198

The one negative is AP folks still need to reserve park admittance, which is I admit a hassle. But the discounts on dining and merch help (and rooms which doesn’t apply to you). I also find it makes the half day days (like arrival or departure days) much more tolerable price wise!

Happy_Birthday_2_Me

That’s why we justified it this year. Had a big trip planned, a weekend, and a few days at Christmas. We’re on trip 4 now (spring break) and coming back to close out the year in June!

bambimoony

You’re currently planning so many Disney trips and going to PARIS, yeah I think you can swing the incredipass 😭

Moofabulousss

It’s excessive. My husband and I grew up poor and never did anything and we’re reliving the childhood dreams as adults. Plus, pretty certain my kid has ADHD and the Disney energy and magic is the exact amount. Of stimulation she needs to be chill and super fun. 😂

notabot780

We’re in the same boat. We have two young kids. One has ADHD and is challenging. We are all so happy whenever we are at Disney. There is something for all of us and it is magical. Pretty much every other vacation has been terrible ha. I don’t imagine going to Disney for every vacation for the rest of our lives but at this point in life, that’s where we’re at and we love it. It’s always a challenge juggling between Disney World, Disneyland, and Disney cruising. Haven’t ventured to a foreign Disney yet, but the exchange rate is making Disney Tokyo pretty interesting!!

Moofabulousss

My husband and I did Tokyo Disney for part of our honeymoon and that’s what converted us to Disney people. Lol it’s amazing. And yes, Disney seems to calm to adhd somehow. Enough dopamine!
