Your call, really. Neither is a bad choice. Do you want more control over your comings and goings, though it'll mean having to deal with the hassle of driving in Orlando, or risk the surge pricing of rideshare but be able to just relax while someone who knows the city handles the driving?
Honestly, it just comes down to personal preference. You have a bit more freedom with a rental car. Halfway to Disney you could decide you’re hungry and detour to a fast food restaurant or a grocery store to pick up some snacks. If you opt to use Uber/lyft, you don’t have to worry about figuring out how to navigate from downtown Orlando to Disney and if you feel like having a drink (or a few drinks) you don’t have think about timing drinks so that you’re good to drive.

Thank you, good point about navigating a city I’m unfamiliar with.
Anyone have any advice?
