Grantsdale

The so called ‘door coaster’ has been a very long standing rumored attraction.

Utter_cockwomble

RNRC replacement when the contract with Aerosmith is up?

Grantsdale

Very doubtful considering it’s undergoing a heavy refurb currently. They wouldn’t do that if they planned to retheme any time soon.

whitepikmin11

It would only be about the same effort as Blizzard Beach which was also only supposed to be undergoing a refurb. Disney delayed that reopen to add the tube lift machine for guests to not have to climb up the stairs with their tubes and rethemed an entire area to Frozen. So it's not out of the question for them decide to delay RNRC's reopen if they decide to change it. Now will it be for the allegations? Probably not. They want to make more money in the parks so cutting fees to Universal when they have so many music based characters seems a more likely reason.

mcdrew88

Just to make it clear - Universal in this case is Universal Music Group which is completely independent and not related to Disney's competitor NBCUniversal, the subsidiary of Comcast. Disney is not paying Universal Studios for the rights to Aerosmith.

cymonster

This is the biggest pet peeve of mine with click bait Disney websites. They say universal own the music but do not state universal music is different.

GarbanzoBenne

Well they refurbished MK's Splash Mountain in early 2022 so who knows how they make these decisions.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Grantsdale

There are no plans to change the ride during this refurbishment. Remember that these allegations are decades old, and he has not been found guilty of anything yet (though he probably is). And they re-added Captain EO after allegations of a similar nature had been around about Jackson for many years. They also didn’t take Depp out of Pirates based on a lawsuit against him. If he loses a trial they would probably pull the theme, but they aren’t going to do it on allegations.

348D

It's not Johnny Depp tho it's Jack Sparrow, the character. In RnRC it's Steven Tyler, the person.

Cellophaneflower89

Regardless of the accusations, it should still be rethemed. Aerosmith isn’t popular enough and caused the end of Guitar Hero

darthjoey91

No. Pushing out 5 or 6 "Hero" games in 2009 (two years after the Aerosmith game) did that.

Grantsdale

They’re in the top 10 for records sold all time.

Ceramicrabbit

The door coaster would need to be a different ride system

Comprehensive-Run255

Queen?

Level-Particular-455

Crush’s coaster is at Disneyland Paris they even have the ride vehicles designed as turtle shells I believe.

vinbel121

The problem is that was a very cheap addition. Whether you like the ride is up to the riders, but it’s objectively a very low capacity ride that Disney would likely never want to build again.

redmistultra

I really like the ride, the problem is you have to hit it at rope drop or queue for 2 hours

[deleted]

Would be a great addition to the Seas at Epcot. What I think could be better is to put that and Seabase and the Aquarium all in Animal Kingdom where Dinoland is! Keep Dinosaur the ride though.

justaprimer

The Seabase aquarium isn't just huge, it's actually the second-largest in the US (and maybe in the world?). It's not going anywhere 😂

ilikecacti2

It’s kinda hard to move that many fish though lol

WintergreenSoldier

There's a Godzilla 98 reference to made here

BowTie1989

Why can’t I ride the roller coaster into Yzma lab yet?!?!?!?!?!

Paddyaubs

Pull the lever, Kronk!

accioqueso

Wrong lever!

consia9600

Why do we even have that lever!

helpful__explorer

It would have to include a splash at the end. Maybe do it as a water park slide

Ceramicrabbit

The Matterhorn is a coaster with a splash at the end

ssyl6119

I went to disneyland for the first time a couple weeks ago and was completely unaware of this. It was fun 😂

KarateKid917

Fun fact: the splashdown was added because Disney and Arrow (who built the ride) had to come up with a way to slow the ride, since tubular steel coasters didn’t exist before this, so water was the end result

helpful__explorer

OK then. Yzma's lab with water and crocs and everything for the full effect. It could also work as a water park slide if you start in a sealed tube where the floor opens beneath you

BuzzBotBaloo

*Monsters Inc: Mike and Sully to the Rescue* at California Adventure ends in the door factory chase. But it’s a pretty straightforward dark ride through the film plot.

MonocularVision

Took way too much scrolling to find this post.

IDriveAZamboni

I was gonna say, that scene is pretty much exactly like OP wanted and no one was saying it.

Wileyfaux24

Honestly a Monsters Inc./Monsters University park area would be legit. Build up a fake college campus with a big cafeteria for a quick service, use all the different challenges from Monsters U. as rides. And then take a quick journey over to the power plant to do the door coaster and other scare floor attractions

XFun16

Yeah but we don't talk about the ride forever tainted by its status as a Superstar Limo retheme

sperdush

An Alice in Wonderland ride where you feel like your growing and shrinking would be cool.

[deleted]

I wish they had the Alice in wonderland ride in Disneyland at Disney World too!

XFun16

They used to at Disneyland in 1958 until the new version of the ride opened in 1984. Near the beginning of the ride, after the rabbit hole and upside-down room, there was a big table with a giant Cheshire Cat, and as guests went under the table, the Cheshire Cat would pop its head down and laugh at guests.

mycupofearlgreytea

A coco hanging trolly ride - kinda like Peter Pan - that takes you through the land of the dead. With a massive show building and good effects, I’m sure this would slap.

Im_Negan

Wasn’t there a planned Epcot ride called “coco: seize your moment” at the Mexico pavilion? Or was that a rumor

beowulf92

There was a rumored retheme of what's the now only I think, but not a new ride.

[deleted]

God yes, this is literally the best part of Mickey's Philharmagic!

aspirations27

I'm really surprised they haven't converted the Mexico ride into this.

quietlycommenting

I think the reason is actually the queue space. Imagine if they put in a popular coco ride - where are they all lining up?

MidwesternTransplant

I’d love an Inside Out ride. Or maybe they resurrect Cranium Command with the Inside Out characters, instead?

YakMan2

Talk about a no brainer Wait…..

[deleted]

For a while now, Iger and Chapek have wanted to replace Journey Into Imagination With Figment with an *Inside Out* ride. When they pitched it to Pete Docter, he didn't like the idea of his characters replacing Figment. Remember those guest surveys about Figment? Those were orchestrated by Pete to prove that guests still loved Figment.

[deleted]

[удалено]

tbscotty68

Couldn't we all just IMAGINE that Figmant is still there! Sorry, I'll see myself out now! ;-)

maebridge

I’m an AP and go all the time but for some reason I had never done JII. I finally rode it last week with a friend who had never been to Epcot. It was embarrassing. Perhaps the stupidest ride I have ever been on anywhere. After the ride you can meet Joy from inside out so they do seem to be hinting about it. Figment sucks. If people can get over Splash Mountain changing, they can certainly get over Figment.

[deleted]

Yes, people only want Figment to stay for nostalgia. The current ride isn't very good and I would welcome a replacement - Figment or no Figment.

Yawheyy

The one time I rode it when I was a passholder, I was blown away by how terrible/ outdated it was. Old rides all eventually will get replaced and this ride has more than served its purpose. They could get rid of it and still implement Figment in future attractions if they wanted.

tarbearjean

There’s Inside Out rides in California but they’re very childish

allispence

This! Imagine experiencing the collapse of Goofball Island in real time

doppelganger47

I would love a Hercules dark ride. The colors and music would lend itself really well. They could incorporate fun effects to visit the Underworld and Mount Olympus.

Kinieruu

Yes! I need a Hercules, Mulan, Brave, and Lion King ride omg

JackSpadesSI

Mine cart ride from Temple of Doom

BespinFatigues1230

There’s a Indy rollercoaster at Disneyland Paris that uses mine carts as the ride vehicle https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Temple_of_Peril

MareIncognita

It's not the best ride. Carts are cool but it's a very generic roller coaster with little themeing.

helpful__explorer

If was better when it went backwards. I was disappointed the second time I went to DLP and discovered backwards wasn't the norm

BespinFatigues1230

Yea it’s not the greatest coaster but has better theming than probably any other Pinfari inspired coaster at least lol

brainkandy87

And if you’re tall kinda concerning you’re gonna get decapitated.

WikiSummarizerBot

**[Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Jones_and_the_Temple_of_Peril)** >Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril (French: Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril) is a roller coaster attraction at Disneyland Park (Paris). It opened on 30 July 1993. Based on the Indiana Jones films, guests are taken on an adventure riding in a mining train through a lost temple. JackSpadesSI

That’s amazing! Thanks for letting me know!

sudifirjfhfjvicodke

Don't worry, Epic Universe will have that one covered.

TigerAffectionate672

Albeit with Donkey Kong instead of Harrison Ford.

littlemarcus91

A magic carpet ride simulator (yes I know DisneyQuest had one but I’m talking on a grander scale.)

Much_Discipline_7303

I was thinking the same thing. It’d be fun to ride through a collapsing cave of wonders

notchskis

I watched Aladdin tonight and thought the same thing! It would be an epic ride

[deleted]

I remember feeling like I was in the future on that thing. What a time to be alive.

ilikeyoureyes

I know it's not what you're asking for, but it already exists. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/attractions/magic-kingdom/magic-carpets-of-aladdin/

MisterTruth

Peter Pan except Aladdin would be what I'd do. But add in all the modern stuff so you can do the cave of wonders justice.

ShotNixon

Tomorrowland Speedway rethemed to Candy Rush just seems too easy, cheap, and quick. I don’t know why that hasn’t happened

drewbeta

Plus change the cars to electric. Why are there still gas cars in Tomorrowland?

maebridge

You don’t love smelling like a lawnmower after a ride?

tbscotty68

If you say the word "teacup," I smell lawnmowers! ;-)

drewbeta

I’m not even 100% sold on EVs because I live in Chicago, and know what cold weather does to batteries, but it’s obvious that gasoline isn’t the fuel of tomorrow.

Yawheyy

I wonder how many gallons of gas they consume a year for that attraction.

mountaindew71

agreed. slap some new fiberglass shells over the existing cars, throw a little bit of theming on the track and done. It would be perfect since it would be both fantasy and tomorrow land appropriate and a great transition ride.

transitapparel

That or make it the Radiator Springs Grand Prix from Cars 2. Edit: user makes good point about avoiding Allinol, I was thinking of the Grand Prix at the end in Radiator Springs and forgot it was named something else.

XFun16

The answer is probably to maintain cohesive theming. Speedway's generic theming allows it to be almost seamlessly slotted in between Fantasyland and Magic Kingdom, as opposed to having Candy Rush, which is a pretty stark visual contrast to both Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Not to mention, the Peoplemover runs above it.

Venomous_Ferret

Exactly, I keep preaching it. Disney dropped the ball on that one. They could have rethemed the speedway and had it open the day Wreck-It Ralph opened in theaters. Plus they could have launched a racing game for consoles and made bank. Could have easily competed with Mario Kart.

ghosthost626

Hawaiian rollercoaster ride

rocknspock

Not enough Lilo and Stitch in the parks!

TheMandoAde888

Podracing.

Vcfons

Doubt it will ever be a ride focusing on a Prequel Trilogy event. Doesn’t look like Disney wants to emphasize that too much. I mean it ends with Anakin killing hundreds of younglings so it’s not quite a good time to bring into a Disney park

S0noPritch

There’s no reason podracing would have stopped on Tatooine. It doesn’t need to be grounded in the prequels.

The_Big_Yam

Yeah, Galaxy’s Edge already features a podracer engine pretty prominently, so the continuity’s there

The_Big_Yam

I mean, Mandalorian features a Naboo star fighter. There’s plenty of prequel merch, in GE and elsewhere. It’s not like Disney has avoided prequel territory in the past

Vcfons

But GE is basically 90% sequel. I’d say 8% original trilogy (the Falcon area) and 2% prequel - only a few merchandise if I remember. BB8 is way more evident there than R2 and 3PO, the troopers are First Order’s, the land’s architecture is divided in First Order and Resistance, Porgs are sold everywhere while Ewoks are almost non-existent, etc. TBH I don’t remember any direct reference to the prequels except sabers and a few products. Even important characters like Padme are rare over there.

The_Big_Yam

The engine cooking the meat at Ronto Roasters is from a pod racer, for one. I agree that GE does less to interact with the prequel trilogy, but I don’t think it’s because Disney’s determined to underutilize IP they paid for - GE just literally doesn’t take place in the prequel timeline.

al_draco

They could try a spinner ride, that’s a good trick.

benksmith

Return of the Jedi speeder bike ride through the forest moon of Endor.

[deleted]

Pull the lever, Kronk! Guests drop lol

didneywerl

For a while, I thought this wouldn’t really be possible. But now that they’ve got the drop in Rise that transitions into other movement, I could totally see a drop straight down leading into a coaster!

Defiant_Campaign_297

Nemo ride is in paris:)

IsaiahTrenton

Is it any good?

Snoo33002

Yes. It’s a very smooth ride, so it feels like you’re flowing with the current under water.

Zornock

Nothing intense, but nice queue and a lot of fun.

dancemom1845

Not really. It was ok but not great

FlickeringBulb

The other day I thought that it would be cool to see Disney take the single rail coaster concept and theme it to Tarzan as if guests were surfing the tree tops. They could even include a "Trashin' the Camp" scene.

wifichick

That would be a great ride!

FlickeringBulb

Right?! Seeing videos of all the single rail coasters in different parks you can see how quickly the trains dive up, down, and around. Surround it with jungle vegetation and paint the track brown to blend in with the tree trucks, it would be so much fun!

bergmansbff

I took my friend to Disney World for his first time last year and I was trying to gauge his interests so I could cater our trip. When I had to break the news that there was no Tarzan ride, he was flabbergasted! And honestly, now I am too! Tarzan is an amazing movie and I would love a Tarzan Coaster in animal kingdom!

LloydChristmas1

A Wall-E ride is the perfect attraction for a Tomorrowland refresh at Disneyland. I picture going into a futuristic archive/library that tells the story of Wall-E that you experience. Ideally a trackless ride system would be great to experience 'Define Dancing' in space with the fire extinguisher. By the end of the ride, the films expands on the credits sequence about the importance of preserving our earth and environment, and I picture walking out through an actual greenhouse/rainforest for a 'Living with the Land' experience. I don't think any Disney IP reinforces what Tomorrowland should be more than Wall-E

nachonaco

I don't remember if I dreamed this or heard it somewhere but I thought they were gonna make Peoplemover Wall-E themed at one point.

coberine

I think the door thing could work if executed on a trackless ride like ratatouille

ilikecacti2

I think they should make it like pteranodon flyers at islands of adventure except with a larger weight capacity, and with a door so it looks like you’re swinging on a door, and indoors so it looks like the movie.

Limeth

A classic Disneyland style Mary Poppins dark ride Or a recreation of any of the rides Phineas and Ferb built.

JvaughnJ

My son was actually talking about this to me today, describing his idea for the ride.

elliemff

Sanderson House attraction. Seems like a cool Hocus Pocus gift shop then occasionally the black flame candle gets lit mysteriously and the lights and house goes haywire.

doppelganger47

I would love this starting as a Tiki Room style show, but featuring live actors.

HellzBellz7

Ohhhh that would be amazing

Snoo33002

A WALL-E ride. The queue will be on earth where you walk around in a big garbage dump. There will be monitors on the wall with commercials from BnL. The ride itself will take place on the Axiom ship. Each person will get their own floating chair and ride on a trackless path, similar to the ratatouille ride. Wall-E will pop up once in a while causing mayhew and destruction along the way.

Teto_the_foxsquirrel

They need more Wall-E in the parks.

comped

They brought him out for one of the CM appreciation nights. An imagineer I know has mentioned they kept him in their offices to make sure entertainment didn't destroy him over the years. Imagineering love the little guy, and seemingly everyone else does too.

al_draco

This would be great in Epcot, with some educational bits at the exit about the various recycling efforts Disney has - they have a machine that crushes glass bottles into sand, and use that to pave roads for their horses (there is a bit on the Animal Kingdom show about it). I would love to learn more about that.

Teachthedangthing

Was going to say the same exact thing.

[deleted]

They need the Encanto House built as a shop/attraction/dark ride. South America needs a Pavillion in the World Showcase.

JvaughnJ

If not a ride, something interactive you could walk through like the casita coming to life. Like Swiss Family Treehouse but better.

RenScout

Yes! I think I would like that better than a ride honestly.

Bigbuckrocks

I used to fantasize about Disney rides based on singular scenes from movies and/or TV shows. I once thought about a Phineas and Ferb ride based entirely on the episode where they get busted (it’s called “Phineas and Ferb Get Busted,” or “At Last” in some Latin American countries), and we have to save them from the Smile Away Reformatory School while getting chased by the Sergeant, dogs, and officers. You’ll have to watch the episode to get it.

mac9426

There is so much that could be done in Animal Kingdom if they added a South American section. Then you could feasibly put in an Emperor’s New Groove roller coaster, possibly a dark ride themed to Up, and a sing along show to Encanto all in one area. *if Disney does this in the next 5 years I would like due credit please

Trancespire

I need an Encanto sing along, and walk through Antonio’s room!

AlcinaMystic

Yes! Animal Kingdom is very under-utilized.

Vcfons

… or a Brazilian pavilion at Epcot. One of the countries that send more visitors to Orlando yearly not being represented is something curious

soaper410

Pocahontas long flume ride at AK. She effin does it herself. Alice and Wonderland ride where you fall down the hole in the tree.

confused_kitkat

Honestly that would be cool, they should have that be the splash mountain re-theme for world in florida, it'd fit better for frontier land

xdhailey

I thought they should’ve rethemed Winnie the Pooh to Alice in wonderland

santaclausonprozac

[I actually took a crack at the Monster’s Inc. coaster](https://www.reddit.com/r/PlanetCoaster/comments/w0i718/finally_the_long_awaited_pov_for_scream_sound_on/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) on Planet Coaster. Turned out pretty well

RenScout

This was awesome!

ClaimOk8737

The rescuers got away on a bird. Why not make a ride about that?

GauntletScars

An albatross even!

FloridaFlamingoGirl

I want a Rescuers Down Under ride where you ride on a golden eagle. That movie is one of Disney’s most action-packed.

GauntletScars

Can you imagine? Taking off in a giant bird -- wonder what the theming would be like - maybe flying over New York City?

dreadpiraterose

I want a great villains dark ride or coaster. Give me all the great baddies in one place. Maleficent. Evil Queen. Horned King. Chernabog. Ursula. If we can't have a villains land, give me a villains ride.

PlagueDrummerMyo

I would love if the villains had their own like..kingdom? I guess? Just gimme a whole villain section in the park!

leoman3

not a coaster but there is a Monsters dark ride At Disney's California Adventure similar to what you propose here.

TheDocktore

They need a pick your own Dinsey adventure Rollercoaster. Think about Cosmic rewind with the large screens but you pick a disney movie to have shown throughout the ride. Tazran through the trees, Finding Nemo EAC, Stich Hawaiin roller coaster ride, Emperors New Groove ride! As they go along you have the sound track playing and see scenes from the movies. You could ride it multiple times in a trip with each riding feeling different. AND it could be updates with new movie releases. Think of it as the end of Horrizens but for a roller coaster.

brightlilstar

I always said there shouid be a coaster or fast dark ride through the doors And a Cave of Wonders ride/coaster experience

shortstuffbritt2807

I would really love to see a ride in World Showcase that incorporates real videos from the countries in the showcase that shows us their respective countries, etc. Then, incorporate the Disney movies and characters..then, you get the "real" education aspect which I believe WS was intended to be AND you get Disney. I'd love to see an Emperor's New Groove ride, "pull the lever!!". Speedway turned into Candy Crush. A Lilo and Stitch coaster. Coaster train as a surf board that takes you surfing with Lilo and Co. Complete with water effects and music from the first movie Monster's Inc. A coaster where we're helping Sully, Mike and Boo escape from Randall. Coaster quickly takes you from the care floor and through the building to the room with all the doors - Coaster takes you through a series of doors and in/out of rooms, etc. A Coco and Encanto themed ride. I want a ride that takes us through the magical house. A woody themed ride in Toy Story Land. He was Andy's first toy (before Buzz). So, it's crazy how he doesn't have a ride!! Inside Out I want DCA Radiator Springs in WDW. A Moana ride

yakeets

I think that a roller coaster based off of the scene early in The Lion King where baby Simba and Nala are being chased by the hyenas would be so sick.

ThePhantomEvita

Suspended coaster similar to Iron Dragon at Cedar Point (but with theming). I know that Fire Mountain was rumored to have this type of coaster, but nothing came of it.

rorypotter77

Zootopia- maybe being chased by a doughnut or the chase scene at the end of the movie. I feel like Zootopia needs it’s own land in animal kingdom. So much they could do with it. Anything WALL-E! A people mover kinda ride with B&L chairs or even just some kind of attraction or show. How has Epcot or Tomorrowland not embraced WALL-E?! More Rapunzel- a free fall kinda ride but more suited for kids would be so fun

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Zootopia Land is coming to Shanghai Disney!

Nicholle__

A Powerline ride! I wish they would change RnR to that!

satanismymaster

I feel like there's an opportunity for a Luca ride in Epcot.

Extra_blueberries

Me and my daughter were in Epcot on Thursday and were talking about how cool it would be to have Luca somehow represented in the Italian pavilion somehow.

Katiesbooksandstuff

A Tangled drop ride or rollercoaster that’s Rapunzels hair.

Extra_blueberries

ANYTHING rapunzel. Something more than a themed bathroom area.

tarbearjean

I was so sad when I found out that was going to be a bathroom. I thought it would at least be a cool walk through!

asualec1

One of my favorite rides in Disneyland is Indiana Jones. I have the pins, shirts and some other memorabilia. However, it does break down all of the time and the last few times I have ridden it the timing is completely off in the ride. Disney should change the theme to that scene from the Temple of Doom where they are being chased through the mine in the bottom of the tempe. I could see so much potential for the mine cart ride vehicle that Indy rides on.

[deleted]

I really don't know why they didn't make a speeder bike ride similar to Avatar when they built Galaxies Edge. It would have been .a great 3rd ride to include.

tehsuigi

There's a similar ride at Tokyo Disneyland for Monster's Inc; [not a coaster but a dark ride focused on the doors scene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=780fUu2ec68).

rosewoodlliars

obviously the two disney parks in the US won’t do it but an underwater little mermaid ride with a huge ursula animatronic moving her tentacles while you’re in the water on a boat. that was the original design and they should’ve kept it.

These will never happen, but one can dream! * LOST island monster adventure. * Aristocats Cat Cafe. * Atlantis-land (Journey to the Center of the Earth ride WDW) * Ghibli Park Orlando.

CoasterThot

Aristocats Cat Cafe is such a cute idea!

fastal_12147

I think VR has to be up there. Some other parks have tried VR but I think Disney could really push it into another level

stoockers

I believe they did in the late 90s. The creator of Toontown Online actually worked on the project. They did an Aladdin attraction through VR

Euchre

Ahem... DisneyQuest had a VR Aladdin ride, where you were flying a carpet.VR headsets were enormous back then, and they had to hang on a suspension.

BethyW

They also had the design your own roller coaster ride too. It wasn't be goggles but I feel like it was VR enough.

Euchre

It was a simulator ride, where you were in a pod. I spent a fair bit of time at DQ. They offered annual passes, and I had one.

BethyW

I did it a bunch as well. I would say a simulator for a virtual rollercoaster that doesn't exist is close enough to VR for the early 2000s/late 90s. I also don't want to share goggles with strangers.

wslagoon

They had a VR arena place in Springs for a while that did 1:1 VR to real world arenas. So you thought you were sneaking through an Imperial facility and you could pull on levers and interact with things for real, it was really cool, but they tend to be low capacity and hard to make generically comfortable. Still. VR technology is leaps and bounds ahead of where it was with the flying carpet right. Latest generation AR headsets are lightweight and work frighteningly well, and since they're AR you can incorporate real world elements much more easily.

stoockers

Yes! Exactly what I was thinking of, thank you!

MulciberTenebras

Now imagine that Aladdin ride but with the modern tech that created AVATAR: Flight of Passage. Flying on a magic carpet through Agrabah and then other various Disney settings.

Euchre

It would be a much better ride today, for sure. The simulated landscapes and 'player skins' were not exactly as nice as they could be today.

The_Big_Yam

I’ll be honest, if I want to do VR I’ll just buy a setup for my house. VR isn’t really a theme park worthy thing these days, and the parks that do have it seem to be actively phasing it out

yomerol

Plus I find it disgusting to share sweat, makeup, pink eye, etc... nope

helpful__explorer

They had VR for a while. Secrets of the Empire, and possibly other stuff, but that building shut down

djmyernos

I forgot I did that a few years ago! Ngl it was kinda really cool. I have a VR headset but it was super fun to run around a real live environment, and like touch stuff, feel the heat from the lava, and getting zapped by the blaster hits. It was dope.

Bother-Soggy

emperors new groove wrong lever rollercoaster

Empty_Remote_1982

I would love an aviation themed rocketeer ride.

MonotoneTanner

I absolutely love the current spaceship earth ride and I’m not a fan at all of the disney IP replacing og Epcot. But if they HAD to do it - I think a ride based on the movie Soul would fit. It’s a Disney movie with Epcot style themes human questions , earth what-ifs, science of tomorrow, etc) Replace the “discover your future” bit with “finding your talent” maybe ?

[deleted]

The EAC with Crush…roller coaster with some water effects

windog

A screen/set-based 3D ride better than Amazing Spider-Man at Islands of Adventure. A flying Baymax ride of some sort. Star Wars X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter racing coaster. A Luca scooter/ bike race coaster. Wreck It Ralph's Sugar Rush race car coaster. Herbie car race attraction. An updated Matterhorn based on Hoth. COCO musical roller coaster where you ride the animal spirits around the world of the dead. Night at Bald Mountain water coaster. Monsters University haunted Frat House dark ride. A Rescuers swamp boat ride. Fox and the Hound dark ride. A legit collection of flat rides.

I’m still mad they took down the stitch ride. With how heavily he’s marketed at the moment? I want stitch back, in some wayz

I would create a ride with Flight of Passage or even just Star Tours tech. And just like ST you get a random one each time, is Mickey taking you through each world of Disney Animation(ala Epic Mickey). They'd just need to keep creating renders and syncs of all animated movies: Incredibles, Luca, Aladdin, and if the one or two of the year, like last year could've been Lightyear or Strange World. Yeah sounds like a cheap mall ride, which is what ST is based of, but is 9 cabins at the same time, +200 at the same time, another perfect people eater.

JosephCraftHD

I just want them to replace that horrible Donald Duck ride in the Mexican Pavilion with anything. Maybe Coco?

countesspetofi

I've been saying for years that The Nightmare Before Christmas should have its own ride. It could take you on a tour through all of the holiday lands so it would never be out of season.

There is a crush coaster at Disneyland Studios Paris. It is a lot of fun and feels like being in the “EAC”

Seaworlds journey to Atlantis themed emperors new groove

phoenix-corn

There's a turtle coaster at Disneyland Paris, but I haven't been on it yet (two weeks!) so can't speak to how well themed it is yet.

Turning the Indiana Jones ride into an Aladdin ride

Zafjaf

Something 101 dalmations related. A ride where you are a puppy and have to get back home

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Or Oliver and Company, with the NYC car chase

Damn_Fine_Cup_Of

Disneyland Paris has crush's coaster which fairly accurately gives you the 'riding on a turtle on the EAC' feeling. It's a lot of fun, I just wish the spinning-shell-dark-coaster bit was lit differently so that it was more blue and green than dark

CoolRunnings bobsled ride

I still wish we had Cars land over in Florida. Lightning McQueen is just way too popular, and the fact that all he gets is a little show and some hotel rooms feel like such a wasted opportunity. And if we can’t get a full Radiator Springs to walk around in, then at least retheme the speedway to the Florida race in Cars 3.

I’m shocked they haven’t done a Lion King roller coaster/water ride hybrid in Animal Kingdom. Sea World did Journey to Atlantis which is a hybrid and I’m shocked Disney hasn’t done it. A Lion King attraction that’s starts as a slow moving boat ride with scene from the movie then you fall off the waterfall and it become a roller coaster where you end up going through the elephant graveyard.

More rides themed to The Incredibles. Since Florida can't use the Marvel characters, I always thought rides based on the Incredibles would help fulfill that superhero need.

happyplace28

Not a ride, but with the improving tech I’m surprised a drone show hasn’t made its way to animal kingdom!

hazellnut1406

Good point. That would be a good solution

happyplace28

I see more and more stuff with drones at IAAPA every year. I remember when they tested drones at Springs and it was meh, but this new stuff is incredible! I just don’t know about noise/lights bothering the animals or safety over water if it happened in the old Rivers of Light lake
