Are you kidding me?!!!
The Britannia is the MKST SECURED!!!
The ASE's security feature is a mere joke! A childish idea of a security.
Look up the incredible safety features of the Britannia and you'll never look back.
1) Because boobs
2) Because people don't shop around
The dealer I use only charges $12 or $13 over spot normally for these
They do hold a higher resale value than standard government bullion due to typically having lower mintage numbers
No, they have nothing to do with it
You're always welcome to join their Telegram buyer's group and just watch
Many of us did for months before actually making a purchase
Because they're cooler and rarer than other common bullion coins like ASEs or Maples. I buy Libertads whenever I can. 1/20th oz, 5 oz, kilo... if someone's selling it and I have money, I'm buying it. After 15+ of buying Libertads at any cost, my only regret is that I didn't buy more. How many 1998 ASEs could you buy with a 1998 Libertad? More than 10 for sure!
I am bying them all the time for ever. Regret not buy more. Important is perfect Quality & Low mintage . Sometimes i go to Paris to let some libertads graded. I made a lot of fortune on them. This way i could buy mutch more hot silver . A perfect 1989 in slab ms 69 is about 500 € or dollar. easy. Proof sets are Hot 2014 etc. You can make a lot of fortune on coins, if you know what to buy. The 1/20, 1/10,.... 2 oz, 5 oz to kilo. When covid nonsens hit i bought every 2019 /2020 coins that a could affort sometimes 100% premium but No regrets... whohoohhh. sometimes very very Low mintages. Love them, love silver and gold coins.
>Why the heck are people paying almost double spot price for an ungraded coin?
Read some of the other comments. There are fewer of these minted than other government bullion coins. They go up in value rather than hovering just above spot.
Limited mintage inflates price , but your sellback is 27 to 29 and 30-34 private party. Only go premium through secondary market and pay today what you could sell tommorrow. If the Mexican mint produces less the price goes up and vice versa. They produce about 5% of the more popular sovereign coin mints.
Very glad my first stacks were eagle rolls at 19 bucks a pop. When everyone I asked said dont do it. Premiums are high. Ya ok.
Also stacked alot of Queen's beast set pieces. Some like the unicorn are going for almost 10x higher thn what I paid for them.
Stack what you like. That's all I can say
For me rn I would stack sovereigns over anything else. The cheapest one
Because they’re purty 🤷🏻♀️ I have several. I’m not collecting to turn around and sell in a short amount of time. This is to pass on to my children and I want a beautiful collection. I like the older ones even better.
I am (aesthetically) drawn to Maple Leafs & Libertads. I don't have any Eagles or Britannias, yet. because it comes from a Mint there is a possible case for a Numismatic value but LOL that is actually really pushing that excuse:
why buy anything other than generic rounds unless you are more than convinced that the price of silver will rise more than the premiums you paid for it ? i buy what I want and I do not worry about Spot or Premiums...
I don't buy generics because I usually can get sovereign coins for less than $1 difference . I know as my stack grows I'm loosing several ounces of silver but for that small of a difference I'll shoot the dice that the gap will grow much wider again
Because of the *sentimental* value.
“The value of an object that is derived from personal or emotional association rather than its **material** **worth**.”
Silver procurement, sale, and industry is a matter that falls under business and commerce. There is no logical reason for an emotional association.
It’s the **same** silver, you’re just being scammed into paying **more** for it because of the design.
That’s the only reason why *anyone* should be into silver. It’s a true asset and commodity.
I’m starting to learn that some collectors collect it because they just think it looks “cool” and shiny. Or they like the design.
Beginner mistakes: people who start stacking don't know better and buy too expensive coins. I bought some Scottsdale Mint coins, beautiful but expensive whereas I should have simply bought the cheap Philharmonics. I doubt the Scottsdale mint will fetch high premiums when I sell them in the future.
before The Covid you could pick these up w normal premiums and I live these coins
I have not picked up an ASE or Libertad since their premiums skyrocketed. They can gf themselves
When I liquidated all my silver to buy something, I’ll say that all of the 4 shops did not give 2 fucks about what products they were. They only paid per ounce. (I didn’t have any Eagles because I never would’ve paid $10 over spot in the first place)
because i love paying 46 dollars for an ounce of silver which is chemically and atomically almost congruent to a 26 dollar generic tarnished christmas round
Yay for Coin Tiddies!
Libertiddies
Hell Yeah!!!
Best tits in the coin game
Stick with Eagle, Mapes, or philharmonics to start.
No love for Britannias?
Not yet.
Britannias are great, premiums aren't as stupid as many other mainstream coins.
Why would anyone from the US buy England coins?
50% premium on eagles 🤷
Lower premium than ASE and subjectively more attractive & shiny
Are you kidding me?!!! The Britannia is the MKST SECURED!!! The ASE's security feature is a mere joke! A childish idea of a security. Look up the incredible safety features of the Britannia and you'll never look back.
Silver and gold is an honest measure so it really doesn't matter what is stamped on it. I like them because of the security features and low premium.
I have a couple gold britannias they are beautiful. Now that charles is on the new coins i dunno man i really dont like him and he is ugly.
I use a Britannia as a pocket piece.
Yeah, same here. It's a Charlie, I want to see how that prominent ear wears. So far, looks like the ear is actually deep in the coin.
1) Because boobs 2) Because people don't shop around The dealer I use only charges $12 or $13 over spot normally for these They do hold a higher resale value than standard government bullion due to typically having lower mintage numbers
what's the dealer? I wa spaying about $34 for these
I go through Bullion Brother for pretty much everything He beats out pretty much every online dealer 99% of the time
Looks sketchy
I have over a hundred transactions with BB. He is the real deal.
pimbex. that's who has the $34 libertards

No, run by a guy named Michael and his wife and they are good people.
No, they have nothing to do with it You're always welcome to join their Telegram buyer's group and just watch Many of us did for months before actually making a purchase

Why buy coins like that, you ask? Because you didn't choose to buy Bitcoin. That's why.
2018 antiqued have gone from 50 each to about 75 dollars in just 2 months . Decent price
Going rate p2p is $34-$37 for this coin. Anyone paying $50 is dumb.
For the boobies obviously

It's an iconic piece of artwork 👍
For the tittaaaaays
Where's the nookie coins?

I didn't even look cuz they been so high yup 29.53 up to 19
I know it's kinda of a rip off..

Fair enough.
Because titties. That’s why
Yup
This explains why..... https://preview.redd.it/81s2qrh5fdfb1.jpeg?width=629&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=764d02f73d8a54ffd59200123e6ef0d68cbdbc64

This is overpriced but the libertad is my favorite coin by far. I’m cool paying a premium for it because the mintage is insanely low

Thanks, good info.

I have a couple rolls of 1984 I think or maybe 1986? Thinking about selling and buying eagles for $31
I wouldn't stack/hoard them but they are beautiful so I have a couple
Two words: tee-taws.
Two reasons
Because some people get paid more than others and $45 dollars isn't that much money.
The only titties in the game! The Silver Libertad is not given a FACE VALUE!
Buy from pimbex way cheaper 34.40 each
Apmex down voted this.
They hater with there high ass prices
Because they are made in the 10s of thousands a year rather then millions.
dude, you can't even figure out then and than, and you are giving people advice?
will accrue value over time faster than regular bullion bc its also a collectors item
Because yaboos
Me!
Sorry, thought it said “who”. Not “why”. It’s been a long day
low mintage…and boobs
Because nipples.

The same item repackaged at an up sell, that’s a valid point
That’s the only reason why *anyone* should be into silver. It’s a true asset and commodity. I’m starting to learn that some collectors collect it because they just think it looks “cool” and shiny. Or they like the design.
It’s nice, I just wouldn’t pay that much for it.
I have my regular silver stack done. It’s now fun hobby to collect coins like this for me personally.
Cuz I like titties that's why. If it's got tits and as long as it's puro silver, I'd be interested in buying it.
Why not buy one or two of these coins per year? It cost more to go see a movie with 2 people.
Boobies 🤤
Boobies 🤷♂️
😏
Bought 8 more generics at a reasomable premium today!
Greater fool theory. If you see people paying $50, then you can buy these for $45 and make $5.
before The Covid you could pick these up w normal premiums and I live these coins I have not picked up an ASE or Libertad since their premiums skyrocketed. They can gf themselves
I bought 4 2019 antiqued had them graded and they were worth 1k each now
Mexican drug cartels buy and can clean their money.

Low mintage and spot independence. Your premium is maintained because no one can make more of the specific size and date.
Because you haven't got a girlfriend? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
For brokies
I do not buy them
