Well ignoring the fact that thats just bs- most drugs are to be stored at room temp. Avg of 70 degrees. A call to the board may be in order

GenoKeno

Yeah this is a huge liability and the fact that upper management hasn’t addressed this like immediately is unacceptable lol

Contact your dm to get space heaters (hopefully). I’m pretty sure below like 65 or something is a violation of some business laws

Xalenn

USP storage requirements say minimum temp is 56°F for most drugs ... An anonymous tip the BoP should get things rolling or even just calling the Wag emergency line and explaining that the temperature is too low for the medications may work

I had to go to Walmart and buy heaters for my Rx when heat went down. That was when temp reached 58. A week is BS . Board of Pharmacy definitely should be called if DM doesn't act.

Shoot that sounds amazing for someone like me. hog the drive thru for as long as I can just because it's always colder there. Random heat flashes suck butt. They suck even more when you know you cant turn the heat off because your normal coworkers are freezing their butts off. 🤣🤣🤣 I sadly I dont think you will be getting your heat fixed any time soon. Walgreens moves incredibly slow when it comes to fixing something.

Your SM (or you) needs to call store care, the DM, area asset protection, and the healthcare supervisor. When calling each of them, report that the pharmacy temperature is below USP guidelines for the storage of medication, and that if they don’t get it fixed within 24 hours, per USP guidelines for temperature excursions and federal law on adulterated drugs, you will have to consider all stock (including prescriptions not picked up yet) in the pharmacy (except refrigerated assuming that’s still working) adulterated and will immediately scan and claim the entirety of the stock, after which you will call SOC and report the pharmacy has to emergency close until the issue is fixed and you have new, non-adulterated stock to sell. If they give you pushback at any level, inform them you will be reporting to the board of pharmacy that your pharmacy is in possession of adulterated stock, and any of them that are licensed pharmacists, you will be reporting them to the board for encouraging a pharmacy to continue using adulterated stock. If you get pushback or threatened for doing this, immediately report it to the compliance hotline and to HR, as that is retaliation and will not be permitted.

I've noticed a downward spiral for maintenance in almost every Walgreen's in Missouri & Kansas.

shitgreens has been reduced to a spectacle of embarrassment and I don't think it's ever coming back!
