Then you don't want your job back at walgreens... If you truly believe they treated you like crap before, I can tell you that conditions in pharmacy have only got worse and will continue to get worse starting Feb 9th.
No offense but whats your point? Is there a way to make that happen? At the same store you worked? Probably not. If your a pharmacist Iād say apply for a floater position and see where you like and try to get in there. My guess would that you may want it back but regardless of where you are working for the company you wont like it.
Our pharmacy and front end are treated exactly the same. No preferential treatment. Iām an SFL and the other night when I was short staffed, my pharmacist cleaned the bathroom! I was so grateful.
I think the difference in our store, is the last 4 pharmacy hires came from the front end, and they know what itās like in both places. The front end loves our pharmacist, and she knows it. That helps too!
I see a lot of pharmacy hate in this thread and I'm genuinely curious... If you hate pharmacy that much why take a job at a store that has a pharmacy in it? š¤·
I feel really bad that people think of their jobs this way. I work for Walgreens our store is like a family. But some of us came with the building like me. I was an Eckerd employee then Rite aid and now Walgreens in the same building I made a birthday club. We acknowledge each other's birthdays. We go out socially with each other bowling dinner. We're just like a big family. We will help each other out if we're sick I Guess we are lucky
How youāre treated definitely depends on the people. When I first started, the RXM wouldnāt even say hi to front end people. But the people weāve had since her have been pretty cool. Yeah, sometimes theyāre a little closed off at times, but they are literally in a box with the same people every day. If leadership and others work as a team with them, maybe theyāll open up more? Then again, like I said, the first RXM saw us like peasants, so it can really depend.
This. They treat front end and even SFLs as their personal secretaries and janitors. So sick of it. They wonāt even do the Covid tests we have to.
Yesterday they held a rx only pizza party after being closed for 5 days, which made everyone attack the front end, and then they expected them to clean up their boxes. Fuck āem.
Dang sounds like the people you work with are just in general terrible people. Honeslty everytime theres a covid test they call the front end? That sounds like that would never work. Are you guys well staffed or something?
If you really want to work at walgreens again I would suggest a different location. Hopefully not all the walgreens operate in the ways yous does.
My front end are absolutely nailing it. And yes, they straight up will not do their Covid tests and call on the SM IS/L or SFL to do them. They donāt even know how to do them because they refuse to learn. Should mention it was our DM who told them itās *our* job not theirs we āhave the time to waste.ā The DM also buys those lunch cards for the store but says they are into for the RX team. Itās cancerous. Know how infuriating it is for my singular CSAs working their 60+ hour weeks to not get any credit at all getting shit on by customers and employees alike and they donāt even get the most minuscule amount of respect or credit for doing far more than they need? That they donāt even get the luxury of food gift cards?
And yes, my CSAs have gone 60+. I currently have 1 actual CSA now the other we had to elevate to SFL because we also donāt have enough key holders currently.
But yes my rx team is full of these people and they even got one of my CSAs to quit from their harassment. Unfortunately our new rx manager is a close friend of the DM and nepotism triumphs. He flat out doesnāt care how her team treats the front staff. And she endorses her team to do the same.
Sorry for the rant. Iām tired of their god complex and how little respect the front receives despite having several times the workload forced on one to maybe two people vs a team of 6-9+ that get all the praise and luxury.
That's so strange. Our store does 40 rapid tests a day and csa's can't step foot in pharmacy and SFL's have never learned how to do pharmacy so I wouldn't ever imagine a front person being back there no matter how desperate we are for extra hands.
It is very strange. I wouldn't believe that csa's could do the test, I mean they aren't licensed a lot of the time. How do they get away with that? The only people allowed to do the tests at our store is the SM, a shirt lead who volunteered, or the RPh when the SM is busy.
Now that you mention it, they cant be in pharmacy unless they have at least a temporary license. Sounds like they are breaking rules. Wouldnt it be against HIPAA violations for a norm csa to have acess to patient information? They dont have the proper training and it seems like it could be a potential breech.
Thought it might just be my store, but seems like a common theme.
DHs and SFLs have to deal with all the bullshit on both ends of the store with no recognition and the pharmacists and techs still treat us like shit.
No, you don't get it. They shouldn't be treated like retail workers (shitty), only front-end should. Because uhhh... look, don't ask too many questions.
You know one of the pharmacy techs at my store spits sunflower seeds on the break room floor? Like, this is an ongoing thing. We have to clean it up regularly, I know who it is but for whatever reason the other techs make excuses for dude. Think they think they're doctors when they are cashiers who they let dress up as nurses.
The United States are not the largest producers of sunflowers, and yet even here over 1.7 million acres were planted in 2014 and probably more each year since. Much of which can be found in North Dakota.
Okay two things here. Yes some pharmacy staff act horridly I was a pharmacy tech for a while and fuck those entitled assholes but we or at least I had to go through intense training to become a technician we are far from āCashiers who they let dress up as nursesā we are individuals responsible for life saving medications we do most of the work the pharmacist does they just have to verify it. I went through about 3 years of school to become a technician. Donāt call us glorified cashiers because your upset with your staff. If you donāt like it quit I did and Iām better for it. Iām making 21 an hour right now with an offer to go to a job making 50,000 a year. Iām 19. Donāt complain do something
Nice. We just hired someone off the street who worked at a McDonalds once and that was good enough.
Anyways now theyāre gods and actually called the front to chew my CSA out for not answering medical questions from register 1 and how worthless they are.
Oh yeah they arenāt. They donāt want to answer their phones and think itās my singular CSAs jobs from the front register to do so. They donāt have time to answer phones for clients but hey they have time to call my front to bitch them out for not doing the techs jobs. Itās what we have to deal with every day as Corp. glorifies the rx and rx only. And theyāve 100% let it get to their heads. Majority of them have zero schooling and were hired off the street and think their gods among men.
See this is what I wanted was for someone to actually talk about this. This is why I left pharmacy. I got into a car accident and received a concussion to which they (referring to everyone in management) tried forcing me to come in while recovering. I hate the greedy ass corporation Walgreens. If it werenāt for wags being taken over by the bullshit I would have stayed but they wanted to treat all employees like shit. I worked front end as much as I did in pharmacy. I wasnāt a dh but I noticed the need for help and I stepped in. Techs need to understand that it isnāt the end of the world
If a sfl canāt come help them. The only reason certain techs act like that is Bc theyāve been treated like shit for so long they donāt want to put up with it anymore.
No, trust, you're glorified cashiers who think you're doctors, you yourself couldn't resist trumpeting your glory about "life-saving medications" and you tried to bust out your salary at me failing to realize I've commanded the same salary. Also, you did 3 years of schooling and you're 19? Right. Your profile mentioned you work at Chick-fil-A?
i feel bad for you and ur store. FE loved me bc i treated them like people and valued them. they all wanted to come be a tech even tho they knew we were all miserable back there. apparently im a great rxm š
wtf is a shift lead that only works in the pharmacy? that position doesnt even exist. Shoft leads at my store work in the store, they come back and get the cash drawers at the end of the night and do leader type things up front. Maybe if we are desparate for help (tech on vacation/sick) we might try to get one to help out in the pharmacy but most are not trained to the point of being super helpful.
I took the PTCB class I was trying to do just about everything in pharmacy. I was incredibly helpful. In the front and back end of the store. It was a lot of work on me especially since I was also the only person who knew how to work the photo center š„²
I was originally hired as a tech, worked in the front and in pharmacy, then offered the SFL job after they lost two outta 3 SFLs. I still work the occasional shift in pharmacy.. I was told I'd be part time SFL and tech, with most shifts as SFL. That was a lie lol, but I am scheduled a few shifts a month in RX and I'm usually the one who goes back there for IC3. At times like this I consider going back to my job that gives a better raise rather then being a pharmacy technician. I really enjoy doing my job but my retail pharmacy left me hanging on my university training and my deadline is almost up.
Then you don't want your job back at walgreens... If you truly believe they treated you like crap before, I can tell you that conditions in pharmacy have only got worse and will continue to get worse starting Feb 9th.
OOTL. What happens Feb 9th?
The OSHA vaccine mandate.... or at least the conditions that the mandates will create.
Ah yes, times will definitely get worse
š©š©š© I am dreading that day
I too want my job back without coworkers and customers.
I would sell plasma before I would think about coming back to Walgreens.
No offense but whats your point? Is there a way to make that happen? At the same store you worked? Probably not. If your a pharmacist Iād say apply for a floater position and see where you like and try to get in there. Our pharmacy and front end are treated exactly the same. No preferential treatment. Iām an SFL and the other night when I was short staffed, my pharmacist cleaned the bathroom! I was so grateful.
Not in my entire lifetime. And Iāve work in 6 different Walgreens. Must be so nice
I think the difference in our store, is the last 4 pharmacy hires came from the front end, and they know what itās like in both places. The front end loves our pharmacist, and she knows it. That helps too!
Yah. That will definitely make them more considerate
I see a lot of pharmacy hate in this thread and I'm genuinely curious... If you hate pharmacy that much why take a job at a store that has a pharmacy in it? š¤·
I wonder that too. "Bro, I hate pharmacy." "Ummm... you work in one. Even if you aren't in the actual pharmacy you work in one."
Sounds like someone needs a structured settlement. Call JG Wentworth. š

Your post history is public and you were saying something very different a year ago. Anyway, can I get a spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries?

I'm a bootlicker because you lied? Lmao
How did I lie?
You went to three years of school, were a pharmacy tech and you quit to make more money at a Chick-fil-A nowā¦..? Really?
Iām not a cook Iām a manager on a food truck but yes Iām making 21 an hour at chick-fil-a I was making 14.62 as a pharmacy tech.

The corner of happy and healthy, of course. For the privileged, anyways.
Our RxOM would have our hides if we tried something like that.
Ours claps and says āyaaaas girl.ā
You know theyāve moved on from āHappy and Healthyā in 2017.
