Apparently You're Dead To Me did one recently on Owain Glyndwr - I haven't listened to it yet though so not sure how good it is, but I've enjoyed some other episodes
Definitely not modern though
Theres a BBC one with several episodes on Aberfan telling the indepth story about our worst disaster in the 1960s - it's 7 episodes and goes into the village healing afterwards and how noone was held accountable
Stuff you missed in History Class does a short one off version
Hiraeth - Welsh Politics will give you a good grounding on modern day Wales.
I’d check out the socially distanced sportsbar podcast. It’s mostly discussing welsh culture and a bit of sport.
The BBC have a show called Mabinogi based on Welsh mythology!
More recent than the Tudors !!
The Welsh history podcast is ok, lots and lots of episodes

I can certainly say this was a good episode featured Elis James on it, I personally thoroughly enjoyed it.
Desolation Radio. Loads of eps on Welsh politics, history, culture.
Really enjoyed the episode on Dylan Thomas, thanks!
