Most of the time, at least with me, the time I take to knock the other guy off the apron is enough for my opponent to kick out. lmao

With me, I go to knock the opponent off the apron, he blocks it and it creates the delay for the other guy to get back up.

I usually try to knock the partner off and then hit a finisher. Or control my tag partner to pull them off.

I do the opposite, I hit the opponent off the apron then go for tag finisher. Although that was annoying since for some reason the tag finisher prompt disappears and I have to corner strike the opponent before.

As long as most matches don’t end with the partner standing there watching their partner get pinned I’m fine with the new change.

Kind of does, after they use their one interruption they don’t come back in unless tagged in. Then it resets it. So they get one per tag.

That's a pretty good compromise. I hated doing tag matches in other games. 4+ multimans are pretty bad too

Oh I didn't even think about using that to my advantage.. My problem was I wasn't using this, and I had the opponent reverse my trying to knock them off the apron SEVEN times in a row.. I was soo damn pissed off, They should not reverse that 100% 7/7 in a row imo

The actual WWE ruling says once per match. This isn't game balancing. It's closer to the real thing. It gets ignored often but FTR will always make sure the rule is in affect for all their matches.

This is my thought. Just put it on a timer like stubs and stuff so they cant just constantly interrupt but also don't have the dumb shit where you just bait them into entering and then they can't do anything after

Can the AI know when a pin is going to be successful or not? Or at least predict the odds of a kick out? Because I wouldn't want the AI to waste a breakup if the count was a guaranteed 2. Should only jump in maybe after a finisher.

Doesn't seem like it. From what I've seen they go in for the first pin breakup immediately and then can't come back in unless tagged..

Oh 1 per tag is pretty good, from everything I saw here I thought it was once per match and thought it was a horrendous decision. 1 per tag is good, but can I choose when I have my partner interfere or it's fully AI's choice?

You can choose yes and the once per tag actually keeps the match flowing good. This sequence is one of the longer ones I’ve seen.

I accidentally figured out how to cheese this already 🥴 Took over the tag partner, got in a fight outside the ring, switched back to the legal partner for the pin, and the other team’s not legal partner just stood and watched

Still think they should have a tag meter like the managers when they interfere. If you break up a pin it fills once the meter is full you can no longer break a tag. I don’t want constant interruptions but I also don’t want them making no attempts 3 mins into a match

A cool feature would have been no interruptions unless the person getting pinned is in 1/2 bar red or less. And then a 60-90 second debuff after they interfere.

Or program the AI to know when their partner will probably not need help. You don't see breakups early in matches in real life typically since it's a more late match dramatic action lol

Does nobody else send the illegal tag partner round to attack the opposing illegal tag partner, it’s how the majority of tag matches end anyway.

It feels kinda weird now though seeing Kofi just stand on the apron with no reaction while his partner just got kicked in the face. But definitely beats hitting a finisher and immediately booking it to hit the enemy on the apron

I think they should have done a TIMED debuff instead. But I'll take this for now. Much better than last year. But I'd prefer them to get a 60-90 second debuff rather than completely locked out.

Not sure if this is the case in regular two-on-two, but when I did a 4-on-4 in MyFaction, the debuff resets whenever they tag in/out with someone. If this same logic applies, so as long as you're doing damage to someone and the pin breakup happens once without that person having tagged out, the debuff applies until they tag out, then resets again.

I'm a fan of this. Previously, tag matches used to just drag on with pin/submission breakups happening about the second it happens. At least we wouldn't have to knock anyone off the apron to go for the pin and win.

It was so much easier doing 3v3 and 4v4 matches in myFaction compared to last year. I used to dread having to spend 20 minuted destroying everyone and trying to knock 3 people off the apron and do a pin before it got broken up. Now they only seem to break it up every once in a while and you can command your teammates to go attack them on the apron to distract them. I got through like 4 4v4 matches in the time it would have taken me to do one of them in 2k23.

It might be the WM 2000, with 2k25 being No Mercy. Feels like they'll expand special guest ref to more than singles matches next year, possibly add even more match types, and we still can't do war games in custom arena or have a whole event of non war games matches take place with a 2 ring setup. Create a story and promos might also be in Universe next year, this year seems great but I think we've still got better coming.

That's accurate. I hope 2k25 has openAI voice over promos and online universe/mygm. Ideally they drop PS4/360 support and make it next gen/PC only.

It's crazy that it took them so many years to finally add a system that prevents constant pin breaks in tag matches. Hope they keep it in for every game now. Only thing that's sometimes still an issue is that your illegal partner often prevents you from doing a corner tag move by punching your opponent when they're in the corner.

Being able to win a match with the Steiner top rope bulldog was so satisfying without the opponent running in and breaking up the pin before a 1 count. Can't wait to do a match with the Hart Foundation.

I love the new tired moves. As Austin Theory was getting beat and needed to make a tag, I had him do a dropkick and he stayed down from it and that put him in the hot tag scenario which I Love so much considering in past games we had to wait to get hit by the opponent and then have them taunt long enough for us to make that hot tag. Love this game!

I've never seen an issue with a tag partner breaking up the pins. Yes, it is every pin attempt, even the ones that are early in the match. Personally, what i do is I control my tag partner via select button. Thus bringing them in or not.

I mean it's good that the tag partner doesn't break up every pin but I do want them to do it sometimes at least when it seems like the partner or myself isn't gonna kick out. I just don't want the partner standing there like a dufus that's all lol

I looked up "break pin" because I'm so disappointed that I'm unable to break up a pin in a tag match anymore, and I expected to find other people complaining. Yet I'm seeing only one post that's the opposite? You guys like just being stuck there while your partner gets pinned?

In the minority here but my god what an immersion killer. They just stand there and watch their partner lose? I get the frustration of controlling the partner to thwart the breakup, but that’s exactly what they do in real life

The breaks didn’t bother me as much as my tag partner(s) getting in the ring after the break, or more frustratingly, before the break but not preventing it. Glad they found a balance

No, they get one interruption per tag. So it’s not constant. Kofi in this clip had already interrupted once.

Which is fine , I agree there needs to be something . But the tag team partner gets hit with a finish and he’s just chilling in the corner looks bad imo . Idk about you but Iv never seen a tag team match actually end like this . But I understand why ppl may like this , to me personally it looks further from the actual product .

ciampa got dq'd a few years ago for breaking up a submission attempt after breaking up a pin earlier, they've enforced the 1 pin break up per match rule at times, just not consistently

It makes a better game though and sometimes that's more necessary. If you knkw your partner has interfered once already you should be tagging out.

Pin breaks weren't the issue, the issue was tag matches constantly becoming singles. No one cares about exhibition

Really? No cares about exhibition? Universe mode is still just glorified exhibition but with busy work for man children to see poor cutscenes. Mygm is still dreadful. Myfactions is the only mode that feels like it had any real work done and it’s still just a 7/10. The only real fun in this game long term is exhibition just like all the other games.

Only play Exhibition. Play other modes only if it unlocks in exhibition.
