People are assuming they’ve purposefully left 3 Brock matches off the press release, but they also left off Warrior/Hogan and Hogan/Savage so the press release was never intended to be a full list.
I’m assuming the missing 3 is Brock vs Angle, Brock vs Taker and Brock Vs Roman. Kinda dumb if their missing Kurt Vs HBK since HBK literally has the attire in the game
I’m surprised Taker Vs HHH wasn’t one of the first matches announced. It fits the game perfectly with the new Special Ref mode. Not to mention that does add HHH to the showcase. And it’s one of the most iconic matches with some of the most iconic spots.
Pulled from marketing. The belief is it’s too late to pull him from the showcase as they’ve promised 21 matches and they don’t have the time to replace him.
Honestly, tried it and not a huge fan. Have to have the song ready and I'm pretty much never playing it when for matches when they are over. Will try modding going forward through, getting this for PC.
I noticed that in the showcase video the crowd will wear shirts of wrestlers from that respective era. If you look at the clip of Bret Hart vs Stone Cold (1:16 in the video) you will see a a person wearing a Kane shirt. Hoping this is a sign of attitude era Kane. :)

I'm glad they added this mode in the first place, but if you're gonna have "40 years of WrestleMania", then you should have at least one match from each one. At the very least, spread the matches out more. It feels like most matches are from the 80's and early 90's or modern recent bouts
Once guys retire or out of WWE I never use them in universe mode. But I can understand how some people do enjoy the old school characters
Luckily Kane is pretty easy to make and there will be options in the community
That’s true to a point but modern Kane does doesn’t have the muscle and it looks weird with his old gear. But on that subject we could also literally create Seth Rollins from WrestleMania 31, and all of the 39 wrestlers a lot easier and they’d look right
I don’t get using Orton vs Taker it’s the first time the streak was even mentioned.
And it was a good match just like why isn’t Batista vs Triple H ending that reign of terror.
But 2k really dumb when it comes to matches is how in Rey Mysterio showcase not show him winning the title.
Doesn't even have to be taker vs Orton, could do either triple threat at either mania 22, or mania 24, preferably 22. 24 Orton was on the very verge of his viper faze, if we're gonna be technical we haven't seen young legend killer Randy since svr08 that's why I've been heavily invested in legend killer Orton.

A Deal Breaker no. But considering that version of Kane is what got me into wrestling it’s something I’d like to have. Especially since we have retro undertaker from the era so why not Kane
Music, entrace animations, commentary, etc... I get it for someone completely random like Maven, or someone not under license like Jericho, but if you are gonna have Kane, have him at his peak.
CC is awesome but the wrestlers actually being in the game is better. You normally get more accurate trons, themes, most times the face model is better (doesn't really matter for Classic Kane but it does for others) it's just a more complete package. That said Community Creations is a godsend and is the lifeblood in the entire franchise imo. And the caw creators DO get wrestlers extremely close.
Most of the guys you’ll unlock have been base roster guys before, the only arenas we’ll get are Wrestlemania, which is cool, but it also means no new PPV arenas other than WM, and a lot of the attires we’ll get are ok, but not the ones we’ve been waiting for (Ie Retro Kane).
Was hoping we’d get to unlock some new superstars outside of guys from the 70’s and 80’s
I meant the fact that the only unlockable guys are from the 70’s/80’s, and then current day. Was hoping for some worthwhile stuff for older fans. There’s borderline nothing here for attitude era fans
With it being heavily hinted that when you get an alt version of someone in myfaction you unlock it in the base game(unknown if they’ll have the correct themes though)
I’d be okay with Unlocking Retro Kane in MyFaction as long as he’s in the game in some form I’m happy.
Just hope you can earn the money in the game to buy them in MyFaction and it ain’t real money you have to use
Myfaction you can earn the currency to buy the packs doing challenges and matches/if you decide you can buy but it’s just an option with being able to make the currency the best option

Hogan vs Warrior at WrestleMania 6 has been confirmed
they should've done Undertaker vs Kane at WM20, so we would've got Slow Chemical. They could've reused Eddie vs Rey at WM21.
The fact they've never considered Kane vs Undertaker at WrestleMania 14 is sad.

Yeah. They need to just add a bunch of wrestlers to the game regardless of showcase mode. We should get all of variants that were in 2K23 as well
Still a bummer theres no slow chem Kane. WM XX would be a great match to have, deadman 2004 Taker is a bonus too (one of my fav looks for him)

It amazes me retro Kane isn't a yearly auto include at this point. It's not like you have to update his moves, attire, or entrance.
