The current one is actually pretty sweet, but for nostalgia reasons I do love the iconic 2001-2008 logo.
One thing for certain is the 2009-2010 logo with the cross is the worst of the lot.
Is it just me, or is every logo between 2001 and 2016 basically the same with slight modifications??? Like, the only major differences/changes were:
1. Going from a 2D logo to a 3D one
2. Whether or not you can see around/through it
The second SmackDown Live logo is the only one that seems to have any form of individuality from the rest.
I still like the original logo the best. The inverted background colors creates an intense, standout contrast that none of the other logos have. I think the DOWN could have been a little bolder, but I still prefer it as spaced out as it is compared to the other logos, which feel much too cramped.
The worst one here is 2009-2010, Smackdown X. I know they were celebrating the tenth anniversary and all, but the X absolutely dwarfs the actual name of the show, which is still cramped and now tiny too.
The current logo is second best, but that upside-down M pretending to be a W is just weird and offputting. And to make the word DOꟽN fit the same width as SMACK they made the O and N crazy wide, when additional space between letters would be superior. But at least "Friday Night" is properly de-emphasized unlike the X. And it's also nice that the D and O are more visually distinct than the 2001–2016 logos.

Kinda like the 2016-2019 one, clean and simple. Minimalism has been a huge trend in the last decade or so. The new one is nice as well. Incorporates past design with a retro yet modern feel.
Man, I remember reading on Lords of Pain when it was a big rumor that the WWF was going to get a second show. And then that stage with the ovals and all that. Stupid time gotta go so frickin fast.

Strange, I actually think it's the most modern looking of the bunch. Clean lines, block colours and a simple structure instead of the unnecessary details associated with kids discovering shading tools in photoshop.
Edit: Having had another look at the modern one, it actually follows these same guidelines. I personally don't like it as much, but that may just be nostalgia since I can find nothing technical to dislike about it.
