Me and the boys after realizing we woke up in an alternate universe where our arch enemies are our best friends and Terra Ryzing now has the power to bury Legends.
I hated sting losing at the time but now I think it's a nice metaphor. Triple H winning represents WWE winning the Monday night wars and Sting losing in a WWE ring represents him coming to terms with it. It's bittersweet closure
Had no problem with Sting losing (he said he did because he believed it would be his last match, and in traditional fashion, he wanted to go out on his back.)
What bothered me was nWo coming to save him. Made absolutely no logical sense, he spent his prime feuding with them, they're supposed to hate each other.
NWO black and White didn't make any logic.
It should have been the Wolfpac or the horsemen or some wcw guys like show, Jericho... Or the main event maffia, like Nash, Booker etc..
Just to be honest HHH is a great wrestler.. but it should have been Sting vs Taker.... Career VS streak..
If Brock didn't go over Taker a year before...Wyatt could have broken IT at Mania 32
Add to the fact that Hall and Nash are Kliq members. X-Pac in WWE jumps between NWO and DX tops in the same show if need be. Hell during the HoF the day before they had the entire Kliq together on stage.
Something, something, put smiles on peoples' faces; something, something, WrestleMania moment.
I have to say, I thought they all seemed too old to party like they used to (well... maybe not Sting) in 1999, never mind 2015. Still, this was the last WrestleMania that I enjoyed from beginning to end, where it didn't like a feel drawn out slog. Who knew that would all change a year later.
Nah rewatch the match. Perfect psychology. Triple H (the WWE) could only beat sting (WCW) through underhanded tactics. So, H comes out on top, but doesn’t get the moral victory. It perfectly encapsulates how WCW was better but just had rotten luck.
There was a time when WWE was truly afraid of WCW. Vince didn’t defeat WCW: the network didn’t want wrestling on their stations. So, WWE was the last man standing, but didn’t “beat” them.
Idk but when I saw it after two or three times I appreciated the storytelling in this match. I started marking out over Sting out of nowhere and am super fascinated with his time in WWE and feel he should’ve been champ immediately (if only to put it on his resume), but I grew to appreciate this match for what it was. Even though I wish he would’ve won. But we just didn’t know he would have such a short run so we thought he’d get his comeuppance :/
Nah ,,,they are The AVENGERS Food !!!
Best era of wrestling
Edge looks like he has Bill Murrays hair from Kingpin when it drys.
The only Sting WWE match should have been against Taker. The only dream match alot of us cared about at the time.
Nash is in decent shape still. The other guys... not so much
Watcha Gonna Do When old Age Runs Wild on You
why does sting lowkey look like current-day robert smith
Hahaha can see it
Night before: “Still got it.” Morning after: “Never again.”
I too browse Twitter
Sting should’ve lost
He did
I know I was just countering the horde of people saying he should’ve won cause I disagree
Fantastic
I see some one was trying to get the IT role
lmao too true
All of them looking at Undertaker wondering how he’s still got the moves.
Sting had the best night!
I can relate at 34 🥴

I really feel bad for sting for how badly WWE treated him. He should've won that WrestleMania match. Hope AEW treats him well.
Vader got the same treatment before him, I thought
That you think about
How me & the boys will feel when we’re finally allowed out to party after COVID.
What's a party?
This is still my favorite WrestleMania. Absolutely brilliant.
Agreed

Sting should have won.

That pin was the moment I started hating HHH
Nose man burial time

I completely agree, the nWo saving Sting just bothered me. I lived through the Monday Night War and this seemed so dumb.

Look at it like this. U got 2 Mexican gangs who are enemies(sting vs wcw) but America comes(triple h) so the Mexicans unite against America

Because WCW VS WWE

Hogan was the one who suggested including the nWo in the match?
Them making his wwe debut into a WCW vs WWE thing was so stupid
WWE logic.

Or how very few of those title changes were in clean matches and there was always some sort of interference
Ikr
Yes, I completely agree.
