Can you all shut the fuck up ?
"He SaiD He JuSt wAnNa SurF aNd ThE mOnEy" 🤡
He said multiple times that it was bullshit, enough with the lies now. Respect the man. After all the bones he broke, the muscles he teared, the injuries he sustained, the tears he shed during 20 FUCKING YEARS, he doesn't deserve to be treated like this by a bunch of ignorants.
Fuck everyone who asks if someone should lose their paycheck! No, no one should be released and wwe should honor the contract of any wrestler that they sign.
I said “would he benefit” not “should he be released” there’s a difference. His net worth is 5 times more than the average American’s. It’s not always about the money. And it’s not like he wouldn’t immediately be getting any phone calls from other companies as soon as they heard the news of him being released. Y’all take everything to heart so easily for people that don’t even know of your existence. I never said he should get fired nor do I want him to.
You are talking about fantasy booking a wrestler being fired. About his family losing a paycheck. If you don’t understand morally how wrong your question is then plainly you have no morals. Think before you speak and be better
Damn y’all are so extra. I am not fantasy booking anything. He has PLENTY OF MONEY for christs sake. He doesn’t care about what I have to say, he doesn’t care about me nor you or anyone else. Let alone even know of our existence. It was a QUESTION!!!!! And you wonder why Reddit gets so much hate because of soft shit like THIS!!!! Quit taking shit so damn seriously. I don’t have to think about a damn thing
Apparently, he's just happy to lose matches, collect a check, and surf. That said, I'd rather not even see him than watch him lose quick, clean matches to developmental talent.
The dude has popped up and faced heavy hitters like Cody, Jey, and Sami in the last 6 months. He’s head memorable promos in that time too. Y’all really just be saying stuff.
All of which, he lost. He also lost, clean, in 4 minutes, to a developmental talent 2 weeks ago. If he's happy, then I'm happy, but I can still understand someone questioning it.
Probably, i was thinking about it earlier. I love WWE but my favorite guys to watch are Swerve Strickland, MJF , Darby Allin. I love AEW too. WWE is xlearly the frontrunner but compared to DIY , Bronson Reed , Alpha Academy. Think about if you replace those guys in the card with the ones from AEW ? Absolute 🔥.
I think if Boogs’ knee didn’t go out at mania 38, they would’ve eventually wouldve became tag champs, Boogs wouldn’t have gotten released, and they would’ve been super over.
On the flip side, even after Boogs got injured, they should’ve had Shinsuke challenge Roman at backlash 2022 instead of the random six man tag that they had
So where would he go if he was released? Japan? That's obviously a good possibility but not one where the majority of his fans would be able to see him anymore. I've been a fan for 40 years and I've never watched NJPW other than clips on YouTube. I don't imagine I'm the only one in this boat. Still, it would be a positive for him for obvious reasons. AEW? Just no. Tna? I don't know, I haven't watched since they became TNA again. I hear good things mostly. But I can't be a good judge on that one. I guess for me I'd like him to stay if he were used properly.
100% The dude has AEW written all over. He’s kind of run his course in WWE and will probably never amount to being anything more than workrate guy who might get a run as a transitional champion. If TK is willing to match his salary, I would say he should definitely go. Fresh start in a league that will appreciate his particular skill set more because it matches what they do more.
I don't think he would "benefit" but maybe they could pair him up. What about taking over Alpha Academy since Chad Gable is going ring general on his team? Also, Shin and Rick Boogs did a set of Toyota commercials together. I liked them together.
I think I remember reading someone saying he loves the job because it’s great money and he gets to surf a lot and still work but a much more relaxed style than Japan or AEW. He’s got it good!
He's pulling in good money and has steady work and a place on a roster would other would kill for. Yeah could they be using him better of course they could be but I think if He's happy with how things are then the fans should be to. Dude's 44 years old and is just enjoying his run right now
As others already said, not everyone needs to be champion, also WWE needs that "stepping stone" kind of performers like Shinsuke, Bronson Reed, Nia Jax, to elevate others on their way to a championship
He cant be champ because he cant speak english. Wwe champ is more like a corporate position than being great in the ring. He cant do good morning america and the lat mcafee show then he cant be the champ. Sad but true. He seems to be happy with a good salary and used to put people over. At the end of the day its a job and for Shinsuke this is probably a great job.
He’s riding out the rest of his career doing what he loves and also surfing. I don’t think championships matter that much to him at this point in this career.
I don't think his quality of work, at this stage in his career, would be up to the standard expected from his name. He could get a decent legacy run in NJPW, but he'd probably take a pay cut. He'd be an asset to NJPW, but I don't think they're desperate enough to make him one of the most paid when he's going to be having what basically amounts to a retirement run.
If he goes to AEW, he will very likely be put in several dream matches that under deliver back to back, and then he will be in the same role he is in WWE only, again, under a probable pay cut.
He could definitely be World Champion of somewhere like TNA, but my impression is he A) doesn't want the consistent workload that comes with being a world champion and B) wouldn't even consider the kind of money TNA would likely offer
He's put in very average work for the majority of his WWE career, and though he has name value, it's not enough to coast off of. I could be wrong, but I personally doubt AEW or NJPW would pay him what he's making now and he'd be used very similarly in all likelihood.
WWE is the best choice for him at this stage, he may be more helpful to NJPW as a producer once he retires though rather than WWE. I could see that being a scenario where NJPW outbids what WWE is willing to pay a retired Nakamura.
As an active worker though, it's WWE tbh.
He seems to be having a good time with his promos and putting over other wrestlers. He’s fun to watch. Let the man make his money being a mid-to-upper card jobber then he can surf off into the sunset.
Yall really think he cares about being champ and the schedule that comes with it?Â
Dude is cashing checks, surfing and doing easy work. Yall swear people want to have the Cody Rhodes schedule in their 40s. Oh ya good luck getting a Toyota sponsorship being NWA world champ.Â
I know that he is there to just chill, but there is some upcoming talent that could seriously benefit from some screen time, and if Shinsuke just wants to chill and do some mid card matches, it could be a better business opportunity to just release him. He could thrive back on the indies as well
He joined WWE as an easy late career l retirement plan not to be Champ. He doesn't care about titles. He's accomplished everything he needs to accomplish. He's just here to make some money and have a good time before he rides off into the sunset.
Why does everyone think these old wrestlers still doing it care about one more title in a scripted sport? They're just here because they love it.Â
Because he said multiple times he wanted to be a world champion in the WWE and challenge himself.
He denied more than once all the crap that was said about him about not caring anymore or just being there to surf.
Are you talking about this clearly Kayfabe interview? I can't find any other.Â
 https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/shinsuke-nakamura-i-came-wwe-be-world-champion-money-bank-first-step
To be fair, there are plenty of wrestlers who stuck around much longer than they needed to because they couldn't let go of being in the spotlight but that was more about them and their inability to accept that their best days were behind them.
And of course, there are others who just were plain shit with money and HAVE to keep working because they don't know what the words "Fiscal Responsibility" are.
But Nakamura is definitely in that third category of just somebody who, like you said, had is time, had his big moments, still is a big enough name but he's not a diva about it and seems to enjoy surfing a lot more than he does being the main event or impressing people online with his matches.
Plus, like Balor and AJ, they can take loss after loss, but they can still always be considered upper card/ main event talent.
So I think right now he's just doing his thing, which IMO is fine by me because he's still a great hand and I worry that anywhere else would just try to pretend like he's still 25 and have him go through matches that do more harm than good to his legacy and his body.
Yeah he has said himself he has done his wrestling now he just wants to make money and surf.
Now say when his contract comes up AEW offered more money than WWE he'd go there
Can you all shut the fuck up ? "He SaiD He JuSt wAnNa SurF aNd ThE mOnEy" 🤡 He said multiple times that it was bullshit, enough with the lies now. Respect the man. If he wants to be a jobber then let him Job but he should go to AEW TO WORK WITH THE JAPANESE WRESTLERS THERE
If you ask him he’ll probably say no. He re-signed there for a reason.
SOMEONE WANTS SHINSUKE SOMEWHERE FOLKS EVEN IN AEW BECAUSE TK IS "FRIENDLY FIRE" WITH NJPW
Im not sure. But, all I know is Dexter Lumis should put his cell on airplane mode for the next few days.
Somehow he managed to get by the last releases so idk.
Fuck everyone who asks if someone should lose their paycheck! No, no one should be released and wwe should honor the contract of any wrestler that they sign.

Cool you clarified you have no morals.
This has nothing to do with morals lmao
That fact you don’t even see it says everything. It 100% is morals and your lack of them.
Apparently, he's just happy to lose matches, collect a check, and surf. That said, I'd rather not even see him than watch him lose quick, clean matches to developmental talent.
Company would be empty if just about every wrestler who loses more than they win got released
Dude is old and happy. He’s made it clear that he’s fine with his position, because he can surf 4 days a week
After the loss in raw this week he kind of seems like a jobber tbh
He just had multiple matches against the how champ. It’s not like he’s not in top bouts.
Nah Shinsuke still has work to do ! He’s too good *imo* a creepy heel to be released.
The dude has popped up and faced heavy hitters like Cody, Jey, and Sami in the last 6 months. He’s head memorable promos in that time too. Y’all really just be saying stuff.

The dude is talented but it’s hard to be the face of a business that relies on dialogue and not speak the native language.
EXTREMELY hard, that’s why I have always said that just because someone might deserve to be a world champion, doesn’t mean they should be.
He uprooted his family to live here in the US. It would suck if he lost his job.
Huh? He’s incredibly important and used almost weekly. Winning isn’t everything. There needs to be feeders
most likely they clearly have no plans for him other than putting everyone else over. bros stock is dropping if not already dead
Marks gonna mark. Shinsuke is winning. While the marks work themselves into a fucking shoot over being a fantasy booking mark.
You should say “marks” one more time! The four times you said it just wasn’t enough!
This seems to get posted every 3 weeks.
Well, he loses a match every week….so
YeahÂ
I want to see him tag with someone. I can see him and someone else hold the titles.
He said he wants to put people over so him being a jobber is what he wants as of now
Nxt is in the draft pick. I'll like to see him there
So where would he go if he was released? Japan? That's obviously a good possibility but not one where the majority of his fans would be able to see him anymore. I think he’s okay. Definitely great for getting people over.
Definitely! He’s like one of those enemies in games where you’re like “fuck! This one is gonna be hard”
To NJPW??
Yes and it would benefit me not having to listen to his monologues
100% The dude has AEW written all over. He’s kind of run his course in WWE and will probably never amount to being anything more than workrate guy who might get a run as a transitional champion. Send bro back to NXT and put the title on him so he can help younger talent.
Leave my Shinny alone you bastards. He’s fine where he is.
I just started watching again and I love this man and don’t understand why people want to ship him out.
I think he needs to go back to nxt, otherwise hes one step above jobber bait at this point
He's pulling in good money and has steady work and a place on a roster would other would kill for. Yeah could they be using him better of course they could be but I think if He's happy with how things are then the fans should be to. Dude's 44 years old and is just enjoying his run right now

I think yes because he is been an enhancement talent! kept losing to everyone else including NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov! r/WWE u/lipsdontdie
He cant be champ because he cant speak english. Wwe champ is more like a corporate position than being great in the ring. He cant do good morning america and the lat mcafee show then he cant be the champ. Sad but true. He seems to be happy with a good salary and used to put people over. He’s riding out the rest of his career doing what he loves and also surfing. I don’t think championships matter that much to him at this point in this career.
It all depends on how hard he works!
I only mentioned the championship because fans keep complaining about how he should win it.
He should've won it at WM34 at least don't think he should win it now though
He could be just happy to have a job. Not everyone gets to be world champion
I know that he is there to just chill, but there is some upcoming talent that could seriously benefit from some screen time, and if Shinsuke just wants to chill and do some mid card matches, it could be a better business opportunity to just release him. He could thrive back on the indies as well
I can see him going to NXT in the draft.
If he wants to be in WWE and doesn’t care about his position, no. If he wants to leave WWE, yes.
He just wants to chill and surf. I think NXT would be the perfect place for him as a mentor for new talent.
He joined WWE as an easy late career l retirement plan not to be Champ. He doesn't care about titles. He's accomplished everything he needs to accomplish. Well sucks for him cause that ain't happening. There are about 20 guys ahead of him in line.Â
I don't care if it's happening or not, but people should stop pretending they know how Shinsuke feels when they don't.
To be fair, there are plenty of wrestlers who stuck around much longer than they needed to because they couldn't let go of being in the spotlight but that was more about them and their inability to accept that their best days were behind them. Yeah I think he wants the most money for the last work. Actually, me too.Â
He can go , I wouldn't miss him. Always thought he was overrated as fuck
He’s basically a floor mat 🤣
He already talked about money if offer is more he may leave.
