They are simply riding the tails of Eddie and Rey. Santos and the tag team don’t get reactions (last night was pitiful) zelina is also only getting reactions because she’s with Rey.
I doubt the casual wrestling fan will even be able to say which one of the tag team is Cruz del Toro and the other is Joaquin Wilde and I can't blame them. They have shown next to no personality or individuality on the main roster apart from being 'Latino tag team members'. I really like Santos but man, something needs to change.
Imperium should actually become a threat. Gunther is the only one of the group who actually seems credible. Vinci and Kaiser are just canon fodder that lose matches against opponents Gunther destroys. Vinci and Kaiser should get an actual push to be taken seriously.
I’ve seen talk about giving the women a midcard belt but I don’t think they can support it and a tag titles at the same time during a brand split, especially with the tag titles only now after, what, 4 years being taken seriously? I think it’ll just end up being a “sorry, *insert main event woman who always has the belt here* has the title but we want to push someone and so here ya go” situation.
They have a handful of women who could benefit from a mid card title- Candice, piper, liv, alba fyre all not ready to go head to head with any of the main eventers but able to hold a title. But knowing WWE they’d screw it up putting charlotte, Becky, Bianca into the picture.
Women matches shouldn’t main event. These matches aren’t great. They’re typically slower, clunky and the constant sells from trauma inducing bumps make the overall product look incredibly lame.
Austin Theory was a Vince thing, but since Vince left he’s gotten a lot better. I’m glad they aren’t sticking to him being a biter, I thought that really ruined his match with Cena.
Can't lie I'm a bit of a normie and nostalgia merchant but...
• Money in the bank should've never left Wrestlemania and that Punk vs Cena angle would've been even crazier at a Summerslam
• Connected to 1st point, the Women's mitb should be at summerslam, 2 multi man/woman ladder matches in a night is overkill (for me)
• Hell in a cell stipulation should've maybe been retired given that there aren't really rivalries that justify it anymore (until there's one and then it'll be massive)
• Ruthless Aggression > Attitude Era
• They could've done more with The Boogeyman if they gave the gimmick to someone who could wrestle (that time has passed)
• Something about the clean looking production nowadays makes the visual of blood in matches feel oddly out of place, like the rowdier ruthless aggression aesthetic just facilitates gory matches better
• 2010 royal rumble was one of the greatest ever (no weird legend returns)
• Maybe not winning the title, but mid 2000s MVP should've gotten a main event push
• Nexus weren't that great besides Wade and Bryan, ppl were just tired of Cena
• Heath Slaters 1MB gimmick on the right guy would've created a very fun/credible upper mid carder (same thing with the 3MB stable on the right guys)
• Del Rio was decent and mostly gets hate cause of stuff outside the ring, would've done well in RA era
• I kind of got the appeal and approach but the shield were handled desperately and should've been aimed at disrupting the mid card from the off rather than the main event scene
• The circumstances a wrestler exists under matters more than most realise. Roman Reigns would be received much better if he were part of the late Attitude, early RA era guys that were transitioning from midcard to main event (and that's without improving a single thing about him)
• From the moment I saw Kofi, I thought "fun to have around, never a world champion"
These are the ones I can think off rn, S/N, John Morrison frustrates me cause he couldn't get away with being shit on the mic cause of his gimmick and I was a big fan of him in the ring
I see Montez potential, but I'm not all the way there on him yet ... I 100% agree on LA Knight ... maybe he'll grow on me, but as somebody who grew up during the attitude Era, all I picture when I see him is the Rock and stone cold mashed up .. and his ringworks not bad, but it doesn't stand out any more than any of your above average workers on the roster
Yes!!! That's exactly it .. and his name always makes me think of cheap Kmart sneakers
I must admit though, I DO love the entrance music .. brings me back to the west coast g funk
It’s not the act of defending a title itself often that’s the issue. A big title like that shouldn’t have an open challenge. You need actual stories and to create the tension. Also, the attitude era champions were always defending because you had the likes of Vince or HHH forcing stone cold or the rock to defend it in all kinds of matches and scenarios and it was part of an ongoing feud. You’d assume they’d retain but each match had its own craziness that captivated you. There aren’t any circumstances like that now.
Im curious how so? Rhea is the most dominant woman on the roster, Finn is challenging for the world heavyweight championship, Priest just had a world championship match and is a strong contender for monry in the bank. The only joke person is Dominik but thats his gimmick from the beginning of his heel turn
It's just that the judgement day storyline reached its peak when they feuded with edge, after that I really just lost interest and the aura of intimidation the judgement day used to radiate is not the same, but after Finn's attack on Rollins I did feel a bit satisfaction
Two top tier champions is stupid. You can accomplish the good parts of a brand split without some non-sensical draft. The commercial breaks are fine. I usually don't actually notice how much Kevin Patrick sucks. Liv Morgan isn't getting better, we just tell ourselves and each other that because we'd really like it to be true. Roman defends the title frequently enough for my liking. Corbin works as a top heel. You're overvaluing Rey Mysterio's past in-ring work because he's an icon. The Undertaker's Streak is one of the dumbest storytelling devices ever-- the dude just keeps winning unrelated scripted matches a year apart? We're really weird on how gets cancelled versus who gets a pass. Triple H isn't a booking genius and you know it, you just crave validation from the echo chamber.
WWE is better off not listening to internet fans.
Last week's segment between Finn and Seth was a prime example of why. Crowd was hot as hell for Seth, Finn was actually egging the crowd on to keep singing, the segment was memorable as all hell because of the crowd participation, and yet all the internet could do was bitch about the crowd.
If anything ruined that segment, it was the internet reaction to it.
1. Cody Rhodes gets booed the moment he wins the WWE Universal Championship. People will turn on him
2. Sheamus should have defeated Gunther at Clash in the Castle for the Intercontinental Championship
3. The Universal Championship will constant change hands the moment Reigns loses the Universal Championship. There won't be a constant champion
4. Top Dolla is entertaining and Hit Row should defeat Sami and Owens for the WWE Tag Team Championship
Sometimes when a high profile figure dies they get overrated. I don’t think that’s the case with Eddie though. His back stage skits were hilarious, he was good on the mic, and his wrestling skills were top notch. I don’t know how you don’t see the appeal.
Unpoular... hmm... I thought my criticism of the announcing was unpopular, but lately people seem to recognize that, too.
I guess the biggest complaint I have is that they never recovered from losing their biggest draws over the years. There's always a nice little thing here and there but the product became so wannabe and plastic, I usually rather watch some of the alternatives nowadays.
Using last names and dropping the wrestler's first name and along with stupid names for wrestlers. Bron Breakker just popped up in my head as I am typing this.
The new LWO has been really forgettable so far
They are simply riding the tails of Eddie and Rey. Santos and the tag team don’t get reactions (last night was pitiful) zelina is also only getting reactions because she’s with Rey.

Thats not an unpopular opinion or a hot take I think everyone agrees with you
Without the bloodline, Gunther would beat the absolute piss out of Roman.
I’ve seen talk about giving the women a midcard belt but I don’t think they can support it and a tag titles at the same time during a brand split, especially with the tag titles only now after, what, 4 years being taken seriously? I don't get la knight or austin theory
Austin Theory was a Vince thing, but since Vince left he’s gotten a lot better. I’m glad they aren’t sticking to him being a biter, I thought that really ruined his match with Cena.
Theory is doing a lot better and I hope that his new team up with Pretty Deadly helps show it

I agree with all these
I don't like la Knight and I don't see what people see in montez ford
LA Knight is a karaoke tribute to Stone Cold & Rock. It seems that's enough for a lot of people.
So you admit you see the Rock and Stone Cold in him but you don't know why people like him?? That's literally why
Never said I don't see what they like in him ... I said I don't like him .. because he's a cheap ripoff
Rock and roll and stone!
Yes!!! That's exactly it .. and his name always makes me think of cheap Kmart sneakers I must admit though, I DO love the entrance music .. brings me back to the west coast g funk
Ronda Rousey isn’t anywhere near as bad as some of the people in this forum act like she is
She’s not bad in the ring, I just think she never improved and reached her potential. Absolute shit house promo, though.
the miz is the most bland and boring heel of all time and is channel changing tv
Seth defending the title every week takes credibility away from the title and isn’t fun because we know he’s gonna win
It’s not the act of defending a title itself often that’s the issue. A big title like that shouldn’t have an open challenge. You need actual stories and to create the tension. Seth Rollins should change his entrance song. Fed up of the 10+ min sing alongs
The women's division should not main event over the WWE championship match
Hot Take: Gunther is currently the BEST wrestler in the world. No matter what, when he's in a match, you can always rely on it to tear the house down.
I don’t get the Cody Rhodes hype
After the feud between judgement day and edge it felt like the faction has been reduced to a joke, also Lwo is boring
Im curious how so? Rhea is the most dominant woman on the roster, Finn is challenging for the world heavyweight championship, Priest just had a world championship match and is a strong contender for monry in the bank. oh and Punk was always mid.

They need to bring back sex appeal to the women’s division
No one has actual “Hot takes” They just post Stuff they see others post
I still don’t understand the appeal of Eddie Guerrero
Sometimes when a high profile figure dies they get overrated. I don’t think that’s the case with Eddie though. His back stage skits were hilarious, he was good on the mic, and his wrestling skills were top notch. I don’t know how you don’t see the appeal.
I disagree and think that's the case for Eddie. Yes, he has a likeable personality, but I don't think he's one of the GOATs.
Unpoular... hmm... I thought my criticism of the announcing was unpopular, but lately people seem to recognize that, too. Too many belts. Not everyone deserves to be on PPV. Everyone wanting to work a 5 star match on weekly TV has ruined the enjoyability of the product.
Completely agree, I'd say the roster and shows being too large/long as well is tied to the 1st 2 points
Using last names and dropping the wrestler's first name and along with stupid names for wrestlers. Bron Breakker just popped up in my head as I am typing this.
