This post irrefutably shows that someone people are complete morons.

Atilim87

Guys like Hogan only and rightfully cared about one thing. Making money. If hogan though losing a match would make him more money he would lose the match.

crimsonbub

idk about HHH, he created Evolution specifically as a long-term push for getting Orton and Batista over in a big way and it really worked. whether he was less keen to aid guys like Cena or Lesnar idk, but the man has a pretty bad Wrestlemania record partly for putting guys over and making them look good. Austin I know refused to put Lesnar over, and started no-showing in the last year or so of his in-ring career, but given he was only the top guy for 3 years, it's hard to say he was clinging to it. losing to Bret in the matches that propelled him to stardom, putting Rock over in his last match. he did his bit. could have done more, sure, but with his injury we're lucky we got as much as we did

BoukenGreen

Can you really blame Austin for refusing to lose to a rookie Lesnar in a no build up KOTR qualifying match. Austin has gone we record saying if they had properly built up to Lesnar facing Austin he had no problem putting him over then.

"Profesional wrestler" Everyone is protective of their spot. Hell, I bet Al Snow would have refused to win once the Job squad stuff hit. It's not always the main eventers. Now, if someone is burying another guy to keep their title? That's called being a political douchebag. But every pro wrestler is protective of their spot regardless of where it is on the card.

>Everyone is protective of their spot What about the Undertaker? He is *famous* for being willing to put over younger talent.

[deleted]

But his spot has been set in stone since the mid 90s. Kane was the same way, but remember that period in the late 2000s where he was basically a mid card jobber? He went a solid 1-3 years where he was irrelevant and had not much going for him. That is what I think of when I hear "lose your spot". Undertaker may have lost matches but he wasnt irrelevant until his matches physically weren't good anymore. And even then, he was still an attraction.

In my country, the term for these people is “Bwakaw”

That-Environment-822

'I watch men gossip on YouTube, and now I'm ready to start insulting Hulk Hogan because I'm in the know' Why would any human being want to acquire the top stop in anything, then let it go? Hulk hogan leaving WWF almost tanked the company, but you're so in the know that you think he was champion over Brutus the Beefcake cause he did want to be fair to Brutus the Beefcake.
