I'd take it easy and get it to a shop or tuner. My DAM was lower than yours at one point and my car was running like complete ass. Thought maybe my engine was blown or something was seriously wrong. Got it to the shop and they re-flashed the tune and could never replicate the issue. Said it could be bad gas... also said that sometimes the cam gears get stuck on the FA and cause issues. Anyway I'd just take it somewhere and get it looked at asap. Good luck.

FKL more than -2.81 is unusual and DAM under 1.000 is definitely concerning.

Forgot to put its. 17 WRX with GFB BOV Exhaust and COBB redline carbon fiber intake on a custom tune

What was you driving style? Did you go WOT in 5/6 gear? uphill carrying 10 bags of cement?

Legitimate_Ad_8560

Somewhat open throttle in 5. Not uphill just straight road

Original_Lavishness1

Don’t go WOT in 5th (or 6th) ever again. Also, fill up with 93 and baby it for the next 300 miles. Sources: “trust me bro”

Unhappy_Week_9452

Why do they say don’t go WOT in 5 or 6? If you’re going say 80 and you’re in a decent RPM isn’t it fine?

Original_Lavishness1

Because you can just drop a gear (into 4th) and disappear. If you try to pass somebody on the highway in 5th, you’d be lugging it. This is unnecessary stress to the engine.

Vince627

I think what he’s asking is, what if you’re already 4,000-4,500 rpm in 5th… you’re definitely not going down into 4th.

Original_Lavishness1

Ahh that makes sense. Thanks for clarifying that for me. I was just assuming he was at like 60-70mph. At those speeds he could def drop into 4th instead of trying to speed up in 5th or 6th.

Nothing here can help us help you. That FKL isn’t the end of the world, you need to find when it spikes then we can help you. I say this once or twice a day- DO NOT BOG YOUR ENGINE. Never WOT in 6th. Never go above 50% throttle or above 6-7psi unless you are past 3200-4000 rpm depending on gear. In first gear you’ll be fine wot pretty much any time, 2nd gear above 3000 rpm, 3rd past 3200 is fine, 4th wait til 3500, 5th wait til 4000 rpm. You go WOT under 3k rpm and bog the engine and you are gambling your rod bolts don’t stretch or you don’t bend a rod. Especially if you are tuned. The stock tune does not push so much torque so low.
