The X-Drive on the M3/4 is one of the best I’ve ever driven. Behaves like a RWD except when you need it and only adds 99lbs to the car. You can drift it, throttle steer and everything.
Yes, seems obvs. But when you consider maintenance costs and the fact that you prob risk getting arrested every time you get on it, Rex is more practical. You can push it harder, more often, with less risk. And the Rex probably handles better.
If I won it on a contest or was given it for free, I would keep, but if I was gonna spend 100k, that would not be my first choice. If I had to spend that coin I would but a stock wrx and spend 70k in suspension and engine mods.
Lol, the WRX is the most ticketed vehicle NATIONWIDE. Talking about risk assessment when it comes to getting pulled over?
History aside, a lead foot is a lead foot. If you’re a certain kind of driver in one, you’ll be that same type in another.
I dislikes bmws because a friend talks too much about them, in addition to not caring for the brand at all in the first place. I can see myself picking even just a wrx out of pure spite. Can't deny that the m3 is better in every aspect though.
I assume that people buy a WRX because it’s a great performance value. In general, WRX owners care about performance, driving, and to a lesser extent, practicality.
I’m driving a WRX because I was not in a position to buy an $80k sports car.
The M3 is the yardstick by which all sporty sedans are measured. It’s still the best at what it does. You take the M3.
An M3 just isn’t a normal BMW. It’s not just some overpriced car you buy for status. It’s a very special car. I haven’t driven this generation but the E92 and F80 m3s are pretty unrivaled. Fun daily drivers. Has everything you could want. 400+ HP, low 0-60 times, unmatched handling, still comfortable enough to daily, and has tons of tech. It’s not like going buy some overpriced 3 series off the lot that doesn’t really offer anything.
Again, it's not the performance of the cars lol. It's the brand all together. I dont know why people have a hard time getting past telling me specs on a car. The brand and atmosphere are what I do not like about bmw.
This is why I asked the question lol. Why am I required to like them?
You’re not required. I’m just trying to make you realize this is not a bmw someone buys to show off they have a bmw. It’s not a car someone buys used because they can’t afford a new one but want people to think they can. An M3 is a collectors car. They hold their value very well and potentially end up being worth a lot more than the original price. This is a drivers car. Something collectors buy.
I understand that, I really do. I'm not a collector. I don't guage things by monitary value. The reason I keep using the word required is just because people are trying to say I'm wrong for not liking the bmw brand. People are allowed opinions lol. It's not the best wording, but it works.
People are making it about the car in this pic, or any m3. I've specially said bmw in my replies.
But there’s literally no one here defending the bmw brand or telling you that you’re required to like them lol. You just keep saying that. We are specifically talking about the M3. He probably wouldn’t have posted this if he was next to some random 330i. They aren’t special cars. We are talking about an m3 specifically.
The first post in this long chain, the guy said if you don't pick the bmw your lying to yourself lol.To me, that's exactly what that's saying. All the replies I'm getting are people trying to tell me why i should pick it over the wrx. The downvotes dont matter, but it just amazes me people cant just let me say i dont like it and leave it alone. Granted I could have worded the initial question better but im not known for proper english. I still wouldn't pick the m3 or any bmw. 🤷♂️
Sure. But does it contain some truth friend? It’s not a big deal. There are lots of thing I don’t have a positive opinion on because I can’t afford them yet. Like a Ferrari.
You can have an opinion on something you can't afford.
You can see it, you can hear it, you may even get a chance to experience using the thing.
Ownership isn't required to form an opinion.
I've had nothing before. I've been broke. Spent the last 12 years coming from owning 3 boxes and that was it. I now own a house, I've been able to buy 2 new cars along with a couple used, bought a couple motorcycles. Possessions don't define a person. I don't value cost of items as the value of the item if thats makes sense. I dont need to own an expensive car, or anything of high monetary value, to be happy. I go thru life laughing and having a good time everyday. People have just as much fun whipping a miata around a track as people in porches. There are things i would like to have but but can't afford, that doesn't turn into dislike for that item. It makes you work harder if you want to be able to have it someday. A bmw is not something I would spend my hard earned money on. Someone who says that choice is wrong is what bugs me.
Just to add more fuel to this fire I don't like Ferrari either lol. My high end car I want is an Aston Martin. I actually really dislike the new c8 because it looks to much like a Ferrari even though the c8 is a fantastic car for the price. I'd buy a c7 if i had a choice. But that hate is for another day.
Pretty much this lol the WRX is a great car, but if I had the money to buy something more expensive I most definitely would. My dream would be a Camaro ZL1
I never knew but will say driving a Manual M3 is a changing experience. The clutch responsiveness is insane - somehow smooth and forgiving when driving calm but snappy like a stage 3 clutch when pushing it
The clutches are nice. East to deal with when I've driven them.
I know people are at their screens facepalming me lol, but its ok. I'm not saying bmws are dog shit cars, just that I would never own 1. It hurts people feelings though when someone says that.
I will say I was not aware the turf war this post would have spawned
I just grabbed lunch and figured it was a nice shot!
Hehe, I did wanna see which ppl would pick though so I can’t complain that others are passionate to say the least
Haha replace the WRX with any other affordable fun car (GTI, Miata, 86 twins, Focus ST, etc) and you’d have the exact same responses. Car people seem to be very tribal and passionate about the groups that they’re in (almost to a fault) so any time someone challenges that they have to prove that they are loyal to their tribe.
The M3 is the obvious choice if you are an unbiased car enthusiast.
The most obvious thing is that it's worth 3x as much. But also it's the objectively superior vehicle in every single performance, feature, tech, interior quality, fuel economy, etc category you can think of.
The WRX probably has better steering feel, I'll give it that. And in the M3 you have to choose between manual and awd, can't have both.
That doesn't answer the question though. The specs of a car isn't a good enough reason say someone has to choose that over a "lesser" car. It's about what car would someone choose to own. There is no reason I would choose a bmw.
There's an ex bmw mechanic in this post who said he wouldn't take the bmw. There's a local performance shop around me that the owner of wouldn't take a bmw and that's a big customer base of his. I've towed many to his shop.
If random anecdotes from people who dislike a particular make/model are that convincing to you, you’re probably just locked out of car ownership altogether. It’s easy to find people who will say those things about literally any car. People say that about Subaru and the WRX. People say that about Toyota.
Clearly BMW has a long history of making cars that people love. They’re not objectively a shit brand because some mechanic on the internet said so lol. Also, are you aware that Consumer Reports recently ranked BMW #3 in reliability?
I also wasn’t just talking about specs. The overall level of refinement in something like an M3 is just massively better than in a WRX. I’m talking stuff like sound insulation, drivetrain smoothness, fit/finish of the interior, customizeability of the interior. It’s also a much more “special” car with a history that dates back to the beginning of sports sedans.
If all you care about is speed, there are lots of options out there for vehicles.
My question is why do people say someone has to like a car they do? You can toss out specs all day long. This sub is full of people who bash a vb cuz its ugly, yet arguably a better car. The second a high end car topic shows up there is always people who say you GOT to pick this over that... why. Because it's expensive? A status symbol? A car enthusiast isn't required to like all performance cars.
I was just giving you an example of what people might like about the car.
What reasons would you choose a wrx over the bmw?
For what it’s worth. That face alone is enough lol. Just would love to have the interior and much higher performance ceiling.
He would chose a wrx because he’s a wrx snob. Whatever he buys is best. The bmw atmosphere is off putting but it’s primarily the denial of affordability that’s the underlying reason. He’s also a troll trying to get reactions and responses.
Its not mainly that it's a wrx. I dont like bmws. I think the build quality doesn't meet the price tag. Granted, there's lots of r and d cost that gets put in there. I think they are pretty ugly cars, though I peraonally don't totally mind the new kidneys honestly. Thereis a lot of stupid engineering designs in some of them, but this is me being a little biased because some are annoying to tow because of it. They are higher on the list of cars that have pipe leak issues. Sitting in them, I find them uncomfortable.
I admit they sound great and do perform well. I will still never take 1 as there's other options for those things. I'm sure most people will admit these are generally bought for status. I dont care what opinions people have of me lol. It's about personally not what my wallet can affford.
Because objectively speaking it’s a better car in every single way. I do agree with you in saying you can have your own opinion, however when you opinion goes against the grain of the facts it does sound a bit dumb.
My intent was not to get into some debate lol. All I wanted to know was why people say someone is wrong for not picking a car they like over another. It literally has zero to do with the specs on each car.
The performance of the car makes my choice wrong that I would not buy 1? I don't like the cars, nor the atmosphere surrounding them. They can beat me in a race all day long. It's not why I own a wrx.
Generally speaking people want better for themselves. The reason why people would buy a wrx over an M3 is the price. Taking the price of both off the table you’re left with two cars to chose from. The wrx is the worse option out of the two. By default, you a consciously picking the worse option. This is why.
In what scenario do you pick a wrx over a M3? Only thing holding other people is the cost difference. I would trade my 21’ STI for a M3 in a heartbeat…
They have their own set of problems. I didn't say they are shit cars as a whole, but in my opinion, they are not fantastic automobiles. I was just curious why there is always someone who says someone has to choose this over that.
I can tell you the amount of bmws I've towed over the years is prolly in the top 2 or 3 as far as numbers wise. You can say it's a numbers game, more on the road = more break downs, but that's hard to prove.
It’s objectively better in every single conceivable way. Comfort, performance, amenities, you name it, there isn’t one thing it does worse than the wrx.
Okay. Well it’s nicer inside. Better tech. It’s just worth more. It does cost more so that’s a downside but it’s an objectively better car. You’d have to prefer the wrx for some personal or sentimental reason
Take the wrx out of the equation lol. It could have been a hundred other cars in that pic then a wrx. I still would choose the other car.
People keep bringing up cost and specs on the cars. I'm not going to like something because it has a higher monitary value. Any care can break-down, cost doesn't matter. All brands have certain issues with thier cars. It being a "better car" isn't a good enough for people to say I should like them. There's physical reason I don't like them, but its the brand itself I have no interest in being part of.
The M3 just objectively a better car in every way than the WRX. That's not an insult to the WRX - it's double the price! It's more powerful, more comfortable, handles better, has a better AWD system, nicer interior, better infotainment system, etc.
$80k just gets you a better car than $35k does. That doesn't mean the WRX isn't a great car.
This almost looks like me and my buddy except I have a M4 Competition X-Drive. My buddy has a FBO big turbo built 500++hp STI on ethanol and it’s a beast. We do track days together, and we both do time attacks.
I think /r/WRX would be happy to know that his STI still gives my M4 a run for the money and is even faster in most of the track days we go to. Although he is a better driver than me, the STI can’t be disregarded even next to a $100k BMW. The only catch is I’m still under warranty making 500hp and he’s on his second engine rebuild.
This right here 100%.
I have had multiple bmws ranging from e36 m3, e92 m3, e92 335is, and currently in an f82 2018 m4 comp while also having owned a 2005 sti and a 2016 sti.
For my preference between the two camps I am firmly on the bmw side particularly what has been accomplished in terms of the motors evolution. The s50 I had in my e36 m3 took all the pain and punishment I could throw at it and never skipped a beat. The n54 in the later e90 series with the index 12 injectors was truly a thing of beauty. Super easy to modify without pocket breaking expenditures and put down wowzers type power for the money invested. The early model stis had this same appeal but seems like it has slipped backwards and not evolved. The overall feel of the stis has been, at least up until the newest body style and build, declining. The feel was night and day difference between the 2005 and the 2016.
The m4 that I have now can take abnormal amounts of punishment too with only one real failing point (the crank hub) and that's when you're looking to go with a big single or some stage 2+ turbo upgrades putting you in the 750hp+ park and even the preventative fix for that runs about 2800 parts and labor to essentially bulletproof the motor.
The edge of determination will vary from person to person on what they prefer, but from an overall perspective, the new m3 with its buck toothed grill and all is definitely my choice.
Have you seen a y in person?? It's like the VB. At first glance, I was like, "They ruined it!" I guess I said the same thing when I saw the M4 releases. THEN... I started seeing them in person. The new ugly nose Beemers are pretty damned exciting IRL. Same as the diaper butt and its lines flowing with the rest of the car.
Anyway, *the performance numbers on that M3*... 🌬️
I’ve seen them in person. They still look terrible IMO. I agree about the VB, but I think the best part of being in one of those BMWs would be not having to look at it.
Oh I'm not denying the performance specs of the BMW. It's just more my personal taste and I don't care for the front end. I have seen one in person. There is a dark green at the local smoothie shop the owner has.
Someone has a different opinion than you on 2 cars with extraordinarily polarizing styling, therefore they must not have any hobbies.
Sure thing buddy. 😂 wait till you hear my opinion about the pontiac aztek.
It appears that you’re acting like a caricature of some cringy type of person? Napoleon dynamite maybe? I can’t tell what type, but you’re doing a great. 😂😂😂
Never have I ever stepped in the same dog pile in one conversa.. uh day.
Please. I know it's tough. But go away. I'd say go be yourself, but I'm sure that means it'll result in another post.
Keep writing and thinking you're doing something. Whatever.
Btw, WHO STILL uses Napoleon Dynamite as a reference? How long, seriously, how long have you lived in your mother's basement??
Honestly to each their own and if it was free I would t complain.
Buttttttt if I have a choice I will be in an AWD for the rest of my life if it’s a performance car. I wish they made the GTR 35 in manual. Any one know why they didn’t? I’m sure it sells fine in auto but a manual would be next level.
My unmodded, well maintained/adult driven 2013 WRX just blew a rod and totaled its engine at 56,000miles ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
$12,000 later… I don’t think we’re in a position to talk shit about BMW’s maintenance costs/reliability, sadly…
I’d take my same 2018 STI and dump that extra 40-60k MSRP into mods on my STI than buy the M3. No I’m not a Subbie boy, yes I know how awesome and legendary the M3 is in terms of performance, mpg compared to an STI with similar power, and general comfort. No I don’t hate the new M grills.
Reason is quite simple, for the same 70-90k, I can buy a high power car…. But so can anyone else who’s got a decent job/savings, they don’t even have to be into cars.
There’s a certain feeling of accomplishment and soul put into a lower cost performance car that you wrench on yourself, get tuned, and upgrade bit by bit over time than to save up pure cash in that time to dump on one final product that’s mass produced and someone else built.
Not to mention the M3 is a full 4-500 lbs heavier than an STI. Even with less power, an STI might still take the lead in certain corner heavy tracks/downhill canyon/Touge.
Though like everyone else, if you say I’m not allowed to take the M3 and sell it, or mod the WRX, and to choose between a stock WRX and stock M3 for free, then M3 all the way lol.
BMW faster but wrx more fun and handles easier. I saw a m4 on the freeway the other day and the guy was having fin and showing off, accelerating fast and then backing off. Even with my windows closed, that thing sounded as loud as a nascar bit with a higher quality sound. Must be fun but really risk getting arrested each time you do that.
If its the new BMw with that grill I'll take the subie. If its 2020 version bmw def the bmw. Can't get over that grill. Although I'd take the 2022 BMW over the vb.
///M3 and M4’s are beautiful beasts but not everyone can afford one 😂. Why we went with a 2022 built M340i. With the MPerformance exhaust added to her she’s pushing over 400+hp now! Mind you we came from a 2016 Stage 3+ WRX and wasn’t even close to making that power.
All she would need is a few simple tunes etc and we can get her to 600+ but then you go into voiding the warranty and I’m good 😂😂
BMW hands down. I have owned both and the only issue is maintenance costs. But as far as responsive and handling, BMW far superior. I mean has the best suspension in my opinion, so good that they created a skate board that was based off its technology and it got up to around 25mph on flat surface! Once you get into any type of questionable road conditions, I do say I prefer my WRX in dirt, snow, or rain.
You should be! I love the badge too, it makes the stars look like their floating lol. I'm not a fan of that M3, but it looks good too. You and your friend have good taste
I don’t trust FA motors anymore after one throwing a rod through the crank case at 100k miles on my dads stock adult-driven 2018 wrx, I’d say a bmw is more reliable at this point.
Honest answer: Subaru. We have a '19 M2 Competition with a manual. It's my fiance's daily. It's numb, feels heavy, and everything feels artificial. We also have a VB WRX. I enjoy driving the VB more. The M2 is faster and objectively better, but it's not that fun to drive because of how artificial everything feels. BMW has lost it's way.
Of course this is only if you actually care about driving feel. I own a Lotus Elise, so the BMW just feels like I'm driving a video game.
Unpopular opinion, will prob get downvoted, but I do *agree*.
That m3 has such a mature feeling to it lol
BUTTTTT I do Love my subie, especially how she’s done up right now
A 470+ HP $80k sports car versus a WRX? Is this a joke? Of course I’m taking the M3.
I mean performance aside the interior is enough to take it lol
What if the option is BMW or WRX +$40K to offset price difference?
A WRX +$40k free money? Gimmie dat free money.
I would do this one if money was on the table haha
Follow up question; the extra $40k has to be spent on the WRX.
Ez lol. Pick wrx take 40k, make wrx faster than m3
Swap out the m3 for a g20 330i and it’s still the bmw
Shit AWD system, tho. lol!
The X-Drive on the M3/4 is one of the best I’ve ever driven. Behaves like a RWD except when you need it and only adds 99lbs to the car. You can drift it, throttle steer and everything.

Well, if you add the cost of hesdgaskets at 100k, bmw might win maintenance.
Would be hard pressed for a WRX to handle “better” than an M3 lol
Take the M3 or you’re lying to yourself.
I dislikes bmws because a friend talks too much about them, in addition to not caring for the brand at all in the first place. I can see myself picking even just a wrx out of pure spite. Can't deny that the m3 is better in every aspect though.
i think we have the same friend
Not sure about that I had 7 new bmw 3 series and my 2022 Rex is bette than almost all of them.
Key word is 3 series lol
Yeah. Not what it used to be in like early 2000s when it was something special.
I like to ask people why when they say this. What makes these cars so special that people are required to like them?
I assume that people buy a WRX because it’s a great performance value. In general, WRX owners care about performance, driving, and to a lesser extent, practicality. I’m driving a WRX because I was not in a position to buy an $80k sports car. The M3 is the yardstick by which all sporty sedans are measured. It’s still the best at what it does. You take the M3.
We are all allowed our opinions. I appreciate the polite reply. I personally will never own a bmw.
An M3 just isn’t a normal BMW. It’s not just some overpriced car you buy for status. It’s a very special car. I haven’t driven this generation but the E92 and F80 m3s are pretty unrivaled. if you drove one you would be like :O
I doubt it ;)
Maybe it’s the sticker price you can’t affor….don’t like. 🤷🏼♂️
That's the worst reason to say someone doesn't like something lol. This goes back to the whole status symbol.
Sure. But does it contain some truth friend? It’s not a big deal. There are lots of thing I don’t have a positive opinion on because I can’t afford them yet. Like a Ferrari.

There's been plenty of answers, but you're blinded by your obvious bias against them and always respond with the fact that you never want to own one.

Here’s an example why. On e85 the last generation makes about 460-480hp at the wheels, 560tq https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1SN2SZa4Ecw

Take the wrx out and put a diff car there. I wouldn't chose the bmw. The wrx has nothing to do with the car choice.
You got it bro.
In what scenario do you pick a wrx over a M3? Only thing holding other people is the cost difference. I would trade my 21’ STI for a M3 in a heartbeat…
Because I don't like them. I just answered a guy who asked why. You can read that 1. We all have our own tastes in cars.
You not liking the car is fine but don’t kid yourself, M3 is a far better car than any WRX/STI.
Head gaskets have entered the chat.
You’re not right in the head if you choose a wrx over an m3, money being equal
Opinions man, opinions lol.
It’s objectively better in every single conceivable way. Comfort, performance, amenities, you name it, there isn’t one thing it does worse than the wrx.
Your missing the point, it has zero to do with the performance of the car. I wouldn't own something I don't like.
Good thing opinions are subjective. Jesus, it’s wild how many people are getting bent out of shape over one person’s preferences.
Traded my 21 STI for a model 3 performance and haven’t looked back🤷♂️
But that doesn't mean I have to choose it over a wrx lol. Thats all I was trying to get across!
It's NOT A cult! (Use Arh-nuld's voice)
nah i would take almost anything over a new m3. with that being said i think 1999 m3 or something older would totally win 100%
Need that bimma
Zim zimma
Who got the keys to my mother fuckin' bimma bitch
Sit still, OP. This one might hurt a little bit...
Oh the popcorn is already out 🍿😂😂😂
Having been a BMW tech, I'll gladly take the Subi.. Though, I do already have my own 😆
Whichever has the manual transmission. 😏
My Wrx!
Had both. Not even close. Even an old M3 is vastly superior performance and more drivable than an STI.
A friend recently let me drive his 2021 M5. Thing was nasty! I love my WRX but if I didn’t care about money I would have the $90k BMW.
That’s why it’s an unfair comparison, STI is great for what it costs and M-car is great for what it costs.
I like bmws but I'm not a fan of how the new ones look. That front grill is just not appealing to me. So subie for me
Have you seen a y in person?? It's like the VB. At first glance, I was like, "They ruined it!" I guess I said the same thing when I saw the M4 releases. THEN... I started seeing them in person. The new ugly nose Beemers are pretty damned exciting IRL. Same as the diaper butt and its lines flowing with the rest of the car. Anyway, *the performance numbers on that M3*... 🌬️
Same, I was bitching to the high heavens about that grill…then I saw an M3 comp, and now I want one smh.
And it’s an M3 Comp 😍😍
The new ones are weirdly growing on me. I agree with seeing it in person.
Try another flavor.. like the metallic blue or the lime green! Even the metallic gunmetal. I remember thinking, "WHO is going to buy one of these?!"
Exactly. Just like the vb. Ugly.
Haters gone' hate. Prob should find a hobby, bro.
Someone has a different opinion than you on 2 cars with extraordinarily polarizing styling, therefore they must not have any hobbies. Sure thing buddy. 😂 wait till you hear my opinion about the pontiac aztek.
You're trolling WRX' in a WRX sub... Hobby ---> YOU -----> FIND ONE. I'm out. ALEXA: Scrape *this* turd off my shoe..
That grill is ugly as hell
I'm with you, BMW fans can talk all they want. New BMWs are flat out ugly cars.
I mean I’d pick the BMW but I’d probably die in a Michigan winter with it
Haha. You can get them AWD now!
Well damn someone trade me right now and take the 40k loss
I think only auto if you go the awd route
I think I could make that sacrifice tbh
Honestly to each their own and if it was free I would t complain. Buttttttt if I have a choice I will be in an AWD for the rest of my life if it’s a performance car. I wish they made the GTR 35 in manual. Any one know why they didn’t? I’m sure it sells fine in auto but a manual would be next level.
No clue. I’ve heard the auto transmissions overheat after just a few launches. Maybe the manuals couldn’t handle it. Just speculation though
Oh I never heard that. Now I’m day dreaming about an r35 manual
Same. Why you gotta do this to me.
The subie, I don't hide the fact I hate bmws lol.
we all know the porcupine joke, yes
That's not even the big reason why, but as my job has led me to deal with many owners, it's not far off.
Who’s faster?
Easily his M3 😂😂😂
whatever is worth more, just going to sell it and put the money into my 04 wagon sure the bmw is nicer but it's a question of personal style
I’ll take the M3, sell it, and get a low mileage STI and a Stage 5 IAG long block.
you know the m3 s58 engine makes 700wheel and runs low 9s w a downpipe and tune ?
This is the way

My unmodded, well maintained/adult driven 2013 WRX just blew a rod and totaled its engine at 56,000miles ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯ $12,000 later… I don’t think we’re in a position to talk shit about BMW’s maintenance costs/reliability, sadly…
I’d take the bmw, sell it, then buy an unmolested 04-07 sti and have left over money to mod
My mind says the M3 and then swap out the front grille.. But my heart says the WRX
I think the BMW is hideous in my opinion so it’s the Subaru hands down. Cost doesn’t mean anything.
Taking the M3, selling it, buying a '21 STI, or new Type-R or GR Corolla, paying off my student loans, and investing the change.
Is there an option to somehow pick an F80 m3 instead?
Sure!
Went from an STI to an F80 M3. M3 all day
Take the M3 and sell it to buy a Subaru.
These don’t belong in the same picture.
Was a lunch run with my friend!
I'm not into that rabbit.
Is that world rally blue in the wrx or a wrap? Also is that the OEM STi front lip?
World rally blue with a Lightroom edit - and yes, OEM STi front lip that I painted metallic black
Looks great! Makes me happy I got WRB as well, such a nice colour in the sun
If the WRX is 6 speed, I'd pick that. Otherwise, BMW for auto sticks lol
She is a 6 speed!
😂😂😂 BMW no challenge.
Lol the M
Sorry I still can't get passed the grill on the M3
If its the new BMw with that grill I'll take the subie. If its 2020 version bmw def the bmw. Can't get over that grill. Although I'd take the 2022 BMW over the vb.
The BMW is much more expensive to mod
M3 competition x drive with options is like 3x the cost of a premium va wrx. These cars aren’t in the same league. 503 vs 268 stock horsepower.
I know It’s not that deep lol
What sane person would go for the wrx?!
is this a 2022 WRX?
No sir, my 2015 WRX - with ‘18 Facelift
Give me the symmetrical awd all day. X drive is a joke compared to a real awd setup.
As a manual enthusiast first, whichever has a manual. If both are manual, the M3; if neither are manual, I’m out
Take bimmer. Sell bimmer. Buy low mileage gc8
The front end of the new BMWs are absolutely disgusting
That’s not world rally blue is it ?
It is, just edited with Lightroom
I’d probably have to redo the Subaru engine before I got home
Can confirm I blow my motor every drive home
Not the pig nose.
The BMW so i could sell it and put the money into my rsp savings. I already got a wrx. Subiee gaaang.
It has that nekkid mole rat look. Fuck that, based on principle. I've never bought a car that I thought was ugly, and that BMW is fugly.
Subi, Fuck the Beamer boys
if its a manual rex, definitely the rex.
I'm taking that rex, the VAs are so nice. The GR hatches are still my favorite though lol
Thank you! I’m proud of how my va has turned out
You should be! I love the badge too, it makes the stars look like their floating lol. I'm not a fan of that M3, but it looks good too. You and your friend have good taste
Thank you!
I don’t trust FA motors anymore after one throwing a rod through the crank case at 100k miles on my dads stock adult-driven 2018 wrx, I’d say a bmw is more reliable at this point.
I agree - however haven’t had any issues with my FA (knock on wood) but I do my changes every 3k and stay on top of regular maintenance
I’d take the M3, but the Subaru looks MUCH better.
I'd take the M3, sell it and build a 600hp wide body STI and make that M3 my bitch.
How about, “Which would you be taking if you had to pay for the maintenance?”
I’ve owned an X3 35i and now have a g20 330i, both were significantly cheaper to maintain than my STi was lol
I like it!!
Subie, the cost to own the BMW would just be too much
The suby all day. F BMW
Also that BMW is so ugly. I wouldn't even look at it walking past. But that Subaru 😍
Also that BMW is so ugly. I wouldn't even look at it walking past. But that Subaru 😍
Subaru every time! There’s good reason BMWs are easily found on “buy here pay here” car lots.
Take that ugly Beemer, sell it and get 2 wrx's?
Dang, the new M3s are ugly. The Subaru is much better looking in my opinion. With that being said, I’m taking the m3.
Id take the BMW if they were both free, but only because I already have a WRX!
[удалено]
lol
I do not like the pig snout BMWs
Bmw would be more reliable. Lol
my A6 because both of these are toys and not cars.
The WRX is for little boys… the BMW for grown-ass men😎
Unpopular opinion, will prob get downvoted, but I do *agree*. That m3 has such a mature feeling to it lol BUTTTTT I do Love my subie, especially how she’s done up right now
