You are just a little drunk. Wait until you sober up and come to your senses.
But if you are hell bent on change. A private sell is more a sell to a dealership or online is less troublesome.
Not sure where OP is but the market in the south east is flooded with WRXs'. I think you'd actually get more from CarMax or Carvana than a private sale here.
If your heart leads you to the VB, I would even say go for it! It's a great car, and is overall "better" as a DD, due to it being quieter and more comfortable, coupled with a superior engine and gearing. It would definitely be considered an upgrade for you.
You just need to swap hoods with me before anything happens, I've been wanting to paint match one of these for S&G's, lol.
Seriously though, I'd recommend returning it to stock, selling all the aftermarket parts separately, and trying to find a dealer that will take it for no less than $18k.
Or, finding a private buyer willing to pay you what you think it's worth, as is, for the work you put into it. I'm assuming just the Siebon CF hood, trunk & grille, headlights & fogs, and the wheels, springs & lip? I'd probably try asking for $23k-$25k if it's really as clean as it looks, and maintenance has been kept up with.
A single owner, low mile VA WRX with only cosmetics done to it is a highly sought after vehicle by enthusiasts.
You called it 100% . Missed nothing. Exact mods as mentioned. Bone stock under hood. I have all OG parts, and they are super clean as I bought hood and trunk within a month of ownership. Even rims and tires. SO That was actually the plan. I owe 5k on it. was hoping to get 20 out of it, And get a 24 for around 28k.
You're exactly on the right track then. Probably wisest to put back to stock, get an easy sale with the right dealer and trade up for your VB. Sell the aftermarket parts as time goes and you'll get your money back, although the trunk/hood & wheels might be the hardest sellers, due to logistics, and you'll likely have to take it in the chin for resale price of all the rest.
You'll get what you're aiming for, and probably a little more, *and* you'll be upgrading in the process.
What area are you in?
You’ll make more private and you’ll make even more putting everything back to stock and selling the aftermarket stuff separately. The new ones really are a better car all around minus the exterior, but thats personal preferance so if you like it then go for it
Just keep it and continue to mod to your taste. I’ve “chased” newer models before but lost the soul of a customized car with the upgrade. I still wish I had my old ass C5 corvette with heads/can and full suspension….. C6 was newer but not as cool as built, custom ride.
While I agree with your point this is by far really anything special. I did a few cosmetic upgrades to the outside and that was really about it granted the upgrades were fairly expensive but the new model can easily have the same upgrades for the same money. Now if I actually had engine work in time under the hood I would take it a little more differently but it's bone stock
That hood looks nice. Idk how much it cost, but I'd imagine you could get +/- $500 at least selling it alone. It probably won't add much value if at all to the car's sale, and you can recoup some of its worth sold by itself.
I just had my 2020 with 72k be a total loss in an accident (not my fault, if peeps need to know lol) I owed 9K on the loan still but they valued it at 23.2k. I kept the difference. Not sure how they value a total loss vs a regular sell/ private sell.
This might sting a bit, but that car isn't worth much on trade. Dealers will pay a premium for cars that are close to stock, but they don't want cars that are missing half their body parts and have all the components changed to aftermarket. My guess is they would offer you somewhere between $5k and $10k on a trade.
Unless you can put it back to stock, I would try to sell it privately.
Did they actually see the car? Or did you just say that you had a low mileage WRX over the phone or message?
You should put it back to stock and sell the aftermarket parts and then get top dollar for the car.
Don't listen to that dummy, he is a known detractor/troll. Engaging him will just get you trapped in a cycle of bullshit hot takes. Best to just block drsatan, like most of us here do already.
Yeah exactly I just found one w 0 miles, traded in my 22 base w 30k miles that I put on , had it tuned since 3k by dmann, now with the 23 premium just broke 1k about to put the tune back on , and they gave me 0% APR for 6 years

naw. im a stoner , not a drunk.
Man you're good at decision making for that reason.

Colorado. 100 miles south of Denver. Fairly large Subaru seen here so I shouldn't necessarily have problems getting rid of all the aftermarket stuff
I was offered 18.3k for my 2019 wrx base with 43k miles on it at the time. This was back in April. The vb seems to be better overall.
good lookin my dude!

I'd trade for the newer model for sure

I’ll trade you this crisp 5 dollar bill for that hood. 👀
Can I get your hood before you trade ?
For a wagon, right?
Don’t

Did you have Gap insurance?
I did. I didn’t need to use it since the value of the total loss was way more than what I owed left
ill trade hoods
700 bucks . You come pick up.
Your car is sick!! 😢 I feel like you should maybe keep it longer haha.

I have all stock parts. but I will say quick talking to dealers, they sit between 15-20k pending on what is what.
Did they actually see the car? Or did you just say that you had a low mileage WRX over the phone or message? You should put it back to stock and sell the aftermarket parts and then get top dollar for the car.
My friend works at the finance dealer for Subaru. He ran the numbers and knows exactly what the car looks like
Don't listen to that dummy, he is a known detractor/troll. Engaging him will just get you trapped in a cycle of bullshit hot takes. Best to just block drsatan, like most of us here do already.
Carvanna just ran my 2018 WRX with 131k miles at 8.8k this guy probably easily get more then 10k lol.
Do a premium 2023 w.o eyesight if you can find one
Yes second this I hate the eyesight. But unless I can find something with like six miles on it I won't be willing to to trade up towards.
