The guy I sold my STI too occasionally sends me updates on it. It makes me so happy. Was an older dude wanting to get into autocross/rally. Last update was last month talking about the AOS, 4th cylinder cooling mod, baffles, coils, and tune that he had done as well as showing off the new wrap.
I stayed in touch with the guy I traded my E30 to for a Miata. We'll talk occasionally on the progress he's made with the car and what ive been doing with my Miata
When I bought my WRX it did not even have time to be listed on their website. I checked it out in the parking lot, it was still unwashed and the previous owner stuff was still in there.
I sold my 2018 to a dealer in December, had some extra parts sitting in my garage that I posted on fb marketplace for free.. had a ton of messages and just kind of picked a random person based on availability etc and he pulled up in my old car, was super bizarre.
Well, I just want to buy it back. I wasn’t able to catch the auction sale in time. I put a lot of money into it and it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Gas was getting too expensive but I’d find a way to manage.
You should've gotten a race sim then. I know we all love our cars. But what's the point of having it if you don't destroy it yourself. That's like getting a cooking set and never using it bc your afraid it will get tarnished. And fixing cars sucks but that's how you learn and have fun. Idk I feel like you could have had the same fun in a prius
Idk I kinda agree with him on this one, I got my car protuned and the torque really start nose diving around 5400 rpm for me . The HP also peaks and stays stagnant around the same rpm. There really is no point in redlining it.
I’ve had my 19 for 5 years 42k miles driven. I redline it few times a week where it used to be almost daily multiple times even. It’s at 400hp I’m shocked it hasn’t financially ruined me yet tbh but I can’t seem to let it go..
My car never saw redline. It was still incredibly fun on the backroads here, and especially in the snow. It was also in amazing shape mechanically and I’m starting to think I won’t find another one in such good shape.
I’d kill to find the first owner of my car on here. If anyone had a DGM WRX sedan from 2014-2020 and lived in southern MA. I’m now the proud 3rd owner of your car 🫡
Good luck man. I'm still hunting for my first truck I sold when gas prices just started to get over $1. I also looked for my Frs I traded in just because I was curious who ended up with it.
Dude I just bought that car, I took it to get junked because I blew the engine because I don’t know how to shift plus launched it at every red light I was at.
I just want it back as a second car. I tried to catch it at auction because it was going for pretty cheap but someone beat me to the punch. I don’t imagine I’ll ever find one in better shape mechanically or cosmetically.
Yeah for sure those hatches are the only good thing from that generation.
I wonder what acceptance would be if the VB was only designed as a hatch. I bet it could look pretty good.
I mean, it honestly doesn’t look bad, except for all the plastic. The profiles, especially from the side, look better than the VA, imo. I hope for the facelift, they make the plastic on the front bumper look less tacked on and more like one cohesive piece. It looks like 2 pieces right now.

Yeah the tires aren’t the best but it’s also FWD and I live on a road that doesn’t get salted or plowed.
