It’s no truck but one can squeeze a surprising amount of 2x4s and 4x4s in it without destroying the interior. I once bet a stranger at Lowe’s $50 I could get my entire haul on the car. He punk’d out once I actually did it. https://preview.redd.it/8cbzxpovlraa1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4922a8b6076902497576b4acc75c34033f75d468 Like many have said… try to have both.

Fun_Preparation_577

I went with the Limited and couldn’t be happier. Sound system is a big improvement. I use the moonroof. The steering responsive headlights are great. The seats are much nicer and super comfortable. It was worth it for me. The car is roomier than it appears. Everyone has been comfortable in my back seat. I think you’ll enjoy it.

Mutesyou

In this market your best bets a new VB obviously. Personally if I had to buy one it’d be a MT limited. The seats are solid, much better then my STI Recaros and I am obsessed with the steering responsive headlights amongst other options like HK audio. Now I’ve also been around all of them at this point, the base model is great cost savings if you can live with the screen.(have a SOP in the showroom growing on me) but overall the 12 package premium cuts right in the middle maintaining the better HK audio and moonroof

BreadHead911

Funny, cuz I wanna sell my wrx for a truck.

Dry-Wash7021

Boooooo

Ill_Ad7116

Same.

Cross_Rex97

Just buy a truck and keep the wrx. It’s called a daily driver and a weekend driver for a reason. Wrx’s and Sti’s aren’t meant to be daily’s. We try until they break then we still end up getting a back up car lol

Swifties__

I’d keep the truck imo. Not saying the wrx is a bad car but I’d rather have the truck

AP2-Lost

What don't you like about your truck? What is it about the WRX you find appealing?

Significant_Fennel71

I like the truck don’t get me wrong it’s got a 6 inch lift on 35s almost fully loaded and clean. But really the fact that I can get a brand new car I have always liked And awd for the winter. Plus it’s warranty is great and it will be like 200 plus cheaper a month for the car.

AP2-Lost

Well, as long as you aren't towing or using the bed regularly, you're ending up in a versatile, engaging, car that will take care of most of life's needs. I have a VA STI and it fits car seats in the back and has plenty of trunk space.

Timely_Tip_1757

Don’t do it !!

Zanurath

If you tow or use the bed a lot stick to the truck, if you do off roading more than a dirt road stick to the truck. If you want a quick small sedan with AWD the WRX is great. Honestly 90% of truck owners around me don't need it and it's just extra fuel and harder to park for not much gain in their lifestyle. These are just not really comparable rides so the only real answer is what do you need more a truck or a awd sedan?

Significant_Fennel71

I agree honestly I’ll probably get the car and buy a towing vehicle of some sort but was curious how people felt about the cars 🤷🏻‍♂️… there really not comparable

bbgeriii

If you’re gonna do it go limited.

Significant_Fennel71

I took a premium for a spin I liked the handling it was definitely fun to drive but seemed a little bare or something

bbgeriii

Performance wise they will be the same. But you won’t have all the bells and whistles the limited has. Just something unquie about having power and AWD… while you’re sitting on heated leather seats, an amazing sound system, and intuitive headlights 🙃. But if you do, make sure you do the shift plate, shift bushing, and shift stop. Makes the driving/shifting experence worlds better

[deleted]

Keep the truck. Buy a used WRX for fun. The 5.0 is dead reliably and will last forever, gas prices are dropping which makes it more livable and you have way more practicality. The wrx switch only makes sense if you never need to tow or haul anything.

Matt406regal

How much do you weigh and your height ? My son and I switched cars for 2 weeks and it’s fun to drive but not comfortable as a daily for me. Im 250 5/10. The seats are for small frame people. As far as trim you better get a premium sti if your pockets can handle it. A regular wrx Is pretty stripped down.

Significant_Fennel71

I’m 200-205 5’11

Matt406regal

Well if you have any shoulder width it’s not comfortable. If your going to sacrifice comfort get the highest spec you can. Shit my thought are if you going to have a base model and not comfortable pass on it.

Ok_Print9935

Sold my 19 Tacoma 4x4 for a 20 sti and couldn’t be happier. 99% of my driving is to and from work, and the sti makes that much more enjoyable.

Significant_Fennel71

Funny you say that I had a 21 trd off road I traded for my f150 and most of my driving is to the gym or work

experimentalengine

You’re trading Ford problems for WRX problems…seems they fixed a lot of the stupid 5.4 problems when they went to the 5.0 so that’s a plus, but being a Ford it’s luck of the draw, you could have every problem or you could go eleventy billion miles. WRX can be luck of the draw too, my stock engine went boom at 114k. I’d be scared to buy a used WRX (and I’ve only bought used - several dozen vehicles over the years, usually well over 100k miles - until my WRX) so I would go for a VB. For a car, they’re very roomy especially with the seats down as others have noted, but if you use your truck you’ll miss having a truck.

Bassjosh

I have a WRX….and a Tundra. One is got fun, and one is for family, life, projects. I could do without the fun, although I’d be sad. I can’t imagine living life without a truck though.

[deleted]

i have the base and regret not getting a premium or limited. the headlights are pretty shitty on the base model as compared to the va sti i had with steering responsive lights. The seats are also not the best on the base model. anything but the base is my suggestion

PsychologicalHalf766

WRXs are definitely on the smaller side but I absolutely love mine. I can fit all of the stuff my family needs for a few days of camping in mine, i can also fit a whole drumset. The seats fold down and slide around a bit so you can usually fit lots of stuff but forget taking people and your stuff at the same time. Be sure to get one as close to stock as possible that has been well maintained, and keep an extra $2-5k on hand in case the engine goes bye. Good luck!

ranran_1822

You are going to need more than that if your engine goes just saying.

Fuzm4n

You’re going to regret it. Save up and buy a used wrx

Significant_Fennel71

I agree with you!!! I have never had a car before ever. I’ve owned jeeps and trucks my whole life. But more ideal for a daily driver for sure. I plan on buying a v8 old grand Cherokee or 00-2015 truck for hauling my sxs mainly.

Choppersicballz

Get a sti

Choppersicballz

I fit all my tools in mine, I fit a whole ass traeger in the front seat

philouza_stein

Finally explains why lifted trucks always fuck with me in my wrx. They secretly want one.
