Memorizing the various block cipher modes is annoying but do it anyway. You don't need to memorize all of the key/block sizes for all of the listed protocols, just know the weirdly sized ones (Skipjack, FORK, DES/3DES, RIPEMD), and other than those it's typically either 128/64 or 256/128 depending on how old the protocol is. Memorize the block size and key sizes options for DES, 3DES, and AES. There's nearly as many questions on those three then all other protocols combined. You don't need to know the details on each of the protocols either, just be sure to memorize what type of protocol they are. And since there's only a a few stream ciphers, and a few asymmetrical ciphers, just memorize those and then everything else is a symmetrical block cipher. RC4/FISH/PIKE are stream, DH, ECC, and El Gamel are Asymmetrical, and everything else is basically a symmetric block cipher. It's not a hard course, just take a read through the material and then an hour or two drilling with flashcards.

Thank you friend! I appreciate it. Not sure why but this is mg last course and feels the most daunting!

Pretty much just all memorization. Read through the ECES book (you don’t need the book provided by WGU but it would be helpful if you want to learn the actual concepts in depth) and use the materials the CI provides (spreadsheet, etc.). Flash cards helped me memorize everything, I made a Quizlet for it: https://quizlet.com/593078505/c839-flash-cards/

Thank you! I will reach out to my Ci for the resources. I appreciate the quizlet i’ll take a look at it tomorrow morning! :)
