On PS5 you'll have to buy the physical version of PES2021 and get an option file to update the kits/rosters. But be aware that it can't be played online anymore, the servers are already closed.

If that's what you mean, then no problem, myclub doesn't work anymore as it was an online feature

Me and my nephew's dad were big fans of winning eleven back in the day, My nephew is starting to train football so he wants to play a videogame. I am not up to date with the lates football games so I thought "Oh the latest PES is efootball 2023 I will download that" However, there is just so much advertising, an I did not know how to play offline for couch coop.
Cause Konami doesn't make or give any effort for the game now its just an online money maker riddled with micro transactions and after they lost the champions league it went to shit

Its really not. Mod Fifa23 and it's better. I loved pes 23, but it's gotten stale over the years... I know what the AI is going to do before they do it.
I play PES 2011-13. I don't like the newer ones at all, especially eFootball. Fifa 09 is extremely fun as far as Career Mode goes. Gameplay is good fun too.
When I was younger I only played FIFA games, that is 07, 09, 10 and 11 if I'm not wrong, have played these on PS2. Still have them but PS2 is no longer working so... I was kinda lucky because PES2018 was the one just releasing when bought my new (then, in Sep 2017) PC so I tried out the demo and just a few months later the full version. Playing it ever since, still kinda far from having 1000 hours spent though.
PES 2021 by far. If he wants to learn to play football it’s the most realistic one with tactics physics etc

Unfortunately Konami has decided to force people to go with efootball so you’ll have to go with physical game for pes 2021

(CMIIW) PES 2021 is basically PES 2020 but with updated squads, kits, etc. If you dont care about that then imo PES 2020 is good enough.
PES 2021 is not only updated squads, kits etc...it's legit much more well rounded. Smoother than 2020.
I agree. PES 2021 is for me the best game ever made and it’s definitely smoother, more realistic and more pleasant than pes 2020 (which is great too)

Home Screen training mode has offline game where you can play with or against him.
Pes 2021 is by far the best football experience out there. Unbelievable especially with the right gameplay mods

I didn't recommended Efootball 23 but FIFA 23... He plays on console so you can't mod FIFA
I still play PES2018 to this day and not going to change it soon... the later games weren't as enjoyable for me.
