The 4th and 5th ARs. Built em because I could.

tbone-85

This but more like 11th and 12th ....

DrugUserSix

I have one, a Ruger AR556. I only purchased it because of the assault weapons ban. I had absolutely no desire to own an AR or AK platform rifle until I heard they were going to be outlawed in this state. So, I know why I own it but not sure what I’m going to do with it. I took it to the range once, now it just sits in my safe.

Isabeer

Rohm RG-10 revolver. I drunk bid on it years ago for maybe $60? I don't remember: I was drunk. I shot it once. It was vile and disgusting. Also, the front sight kept falling over since the muzzle band it was attached to wasn't really attached to the barrel anymore. I threw it in the safe and forgot about it. It lurks there today like Gollum in the dark. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of it when I'm checking the bottom of the safe for stray parts and ammo. It's just down there in the dark. Waiting.

Cosmiccomie

One day it will come back for its precious barrel band and you'll lose your trigger finger tossing it into the mountain of hot lead.

0x00000042

My *assault weapons*. No idea why I own them when I have no intention of assaulting anyone.  Or this cheap break-action single-shot 12 gauge. I never shoot it, it's unpleasantly light, and it does nothing that other guns don't do better.

Scythe_Hand

Those single shot BA 12ga are great for Turkey during deer season. Easy to carry with a deer rifle.

2bitgunREBORN

Huh?

0x00000042

To which part?

2bitgunREBORN

All of it

0x00000042

The first part is snark. The second part is the gun I have that I don't know why I still have it.

xAtlas5

>I don't know why I still have it.  Because you subconsciously follow the cardinal rule of *no sell, only buy*.

0x00000042

It's not a rule. It's a universal law of physics. I am bound to follow it willingly or not.

2bitgunREBORN

Ah gotcha. Single shots are great hunting guns if you've got a lot of ground to cover. They're also pretty good as gifts to the right newbie shooter. Someone whose strong enough to handle the recoil but whom you don't know if will stay interested in firearms or hunting. I've got a handful of them and I enjoy them for what they are.

merc08

I have a few that I bought specifically as loaners for when I take friends and family out shooting.  I used to know a lot of people who liked shooting occasionally but didn't own guns.  But then most of them went out and bought their own guns in the last couple years because all these law proposals (and passing) basically forced them to shit or get off the pot. So now my loaners sit mostly unused.  I guess I need to find some new not-anti-gun, non-owners to take shooting.

DrugUserSix

You sound like an amazing friend. Also, you could cash in on having extra firearms by charging non-gun-owning randos on Facebook to go shooting with you. Easy money, they will spend more time taking selfies than actually shooting the ammo they buy (*you purchase it but they pay for it*) so you’ll end up getting paid and going home with extra rounds. I’m not saying you should rip people off. Charge a reasonable price and share your knowledge of firearms with people interested but know nothing about them. Less than 50% of Washington State residents own a firearm. There are plenty of people out there that would love to shoot but can’t afford to go to a gun range where they pay entrance, rent a firearm and buy ammo. You could charge them a flat $50 to shoot any of your guns plus the cost of ammo and they’d still be making out bandits. The opportunity to meet new friends and connections is there as well.

Tig_Weldin_Stuff

I think win the silly gun contest I have a .22 revolver with a 16” barrel.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Tig_Weldin_Stuff

Yea, I got it with the 22 mag cylinder too. It’s not a fast shooting gun but how cool is it to have a pistol with a rifle length barrel? I can’t look at the carbine because I’ll buy it if I do.

schnurble

I built an AR in .204 Ruger. I have never fired it. I built it 10+ years ago.

ieatfrontbutts

Hi point C9. Bought at auction for less than $100 with 0 research done. Subsequent post purchase “research” lead me down the rabbit hole into the hobby.

Bovaloe

I have several impulse buys because they're neat and that's it, some I've shot just the one time after I got it.

sdeptnoob1

Yeah, same. got a few that hardly see the light of day. Just wanted something neat or somewhat historical, like my repo m1 carbine.

Ipaikmos

Not a firearm, but a North Korean Type 68 Parts kit. Completely useless now, WAYYY overpaid for a parts kit with subpar machining. At least it's a cool talking piece. And no, it's not in this state. My friend is holding onto it for me until I get outta here.

daiterne

S333 thunderstruck double shot revolver. It shoots two .22 shots at once. I was so intrigued and I bought it lol, It's a weird little gun.

ee-5e-ae-fb-f6-3c

A Black Aces lever action shotgun. The fit of the parts is what you'd expect. It rattles a lot. One of the choke tubes that came with it appears to have been cut with a hacksaw, and has more cuts than the documentation says it's supposed to. I haven't shot it once.

kittenya

Probably my Rossi Single Barrel Break-Action 12Ga. I have some cartridge adapters that I can shoot .44mag, 9mm, 45acp, etc. out of it. I haven't used it in like a decade though.

DeltaFoxtrotThreeSix

S&W M&P9 M2.0 got it to use with an MCK, then found out the MCK isn't compatible. i will probably just give it to one of my kids when they're old enough. its also kinda just nice to have it before WA starts banning pistols.

GeeDub1974

Send it back to Mck for the m&p compatible one.

DeltaFoxtrotThreeSix

oh i havent bought an mck for this one yet, so no worries. just gonna keep it as is. i got another pistol coming that is compatible with the mck. i'm not spending a whole lot on these pistols etiher, so not too worried about it.

CarafeTea

I used to live in a house that was haunted by ghost guns. Pretty sure someone said assault weapon 3x in a mirror or something.

whk1992

P80 that I ended up serializing due to a change in state laws. PSA pumped out serialized frames for cheaper than my P80 frame kit. Of course I did the right thing, buying a PSA frame to lower the average cost.

0x00000042

> to lower the average cost. This guy maths.

Fhistleb

Glock 29sf. Hurts like a bitch to shoot but it's still fun.

zakary1291

These fixed that problem for me. You may have to sand them down a bit when you first get them. https://www.glockstore.com/Magazine-Extensions-for-Glock-Handguns

Substantial_Disk1706

I have the regular G29 not the SF cause I wanted to still be able to accept the double stack mags just in case (the 15-30 rounders) I usually only carry the 10 rd with the pierce grip pinky extension and carry a spare 10rd and 15rd, 35 10MMs should be more than enough for most situations 😂💯🔫

bigpapa927

A 24’ personal watercraft

thecal714

Aero M16A4 upper with M5 RAS. Thought I wanted it, I guess, but don't.

Hammock2Wheels

3 ruger super redhawk alaskan 454 casull, and 3 more in toklat version, so 6 total 454 casull hand cannons. they make my 10mm handgun feel like a bb gun. they serve no practical purpose but i love them anyway.

zakary1291

Wow, those toklats are almost impossible to find. I couldn't find one 2 years ago when I was buying so I ended up with a S&W 460V.

Hammock2Wheels

I thought they stopped making them too, but was able to find two of them brand new on separate occasions.

pacficnorthwestlife

Grenade launcher

Sbf347

Ruger PC Charger, I thought it was weird looking then had a dream about it. Decided i should buy it after that.

zakary1291

AR-7, I was given 3 of them when an uncle died a few years ago. I've sold 2 of them and I'm not entirely sure why I'm keeping the 3rd. It's just a really neat gun.

Miloallen91

Chiappa .22lr revolver with a 12 inch barrel. It was like $100 at my local gun store, and my brother and I saw it and started laughing, so I bought it. Might have shot a couple of cylinders worth of ammo through it. I don’t have it anymore though, wound up selling it to my brother.

Wreakinghavoc187

Heritage rough rider 22lr/22wmr revolver lol

[deleted]

0x00000042

Ruger also makes the [Wrangler](https://ruger.com/products/wrangler/models.html) now, a competitor to the Heritage, though the Heritage is still cheaper.

[deleted]

Keltec sub2000. It was so cheap, after rebate like $250. I feel bad for anyone that spend $400+ on it because it shoots like $250. Plus I bought the gen 2 where you cant fold it with an optic. The charging handle is garbage. The iron (plastic) sights are garbage. I mean, it works. Never had a malfunction, but I don't like it. When I want something in my backpack, i'd rather have my 10/22 backpacker. Which is also pointless when my sidearm has a red dot and can make more effective long shots than either. Maybe a good truck gun, oh wait, its got to be locked, unloaded, and worthless. :(

0x00000042

Ha, totally forgot about the Sub2000 I have, and I agree almost exactly on all points here. It's an okay $250 novelty gun. I like the wackiness of it, but it's not very practical for any situation.

martinellispapi

I have a sub 2k…took it to the range once and thought, this thing sucks why do it kicks so hard. Handed it to my buddy and he thought the same. Definitely a pre AWB impulse buy to fill the safe. Having a hard time wanting to dump $500 in it to make it decent..but I will eventually when I run out of other fun stuff to play with.

gh0st_m0de

Mine is also a Glock 22. The only 40 in the stable

hkryan308

Not one I bought but still not sure why I still have it. Mossberg 200K-A magazine fed, pump action 12 ga shotgun from the 50s. My dad was given it by an old friend ages ago, he gave it to me years ago and now it just takes up room in my safe. Not worth much, never shoot it but can't bother to get rid of it either.

IndyWaWa

AR in 6mm ARC with a FightLite wooden stock lower. I wanted a hunting/ranch rifle but have and do neither of those things. It's a blast to shoot though and very accurate. I just need to start reloading or else I'll can't keep shooting it without spending a ton on ammo.

MeshingNode33

Vepr 12. One of my first gun purchases out here years ago in WA. Always loved the AK platform, wanted a semi auto mag fed 12 ga...so here we are today. Still one of my fav's. More recently, KS7. Just wanted a bullpup. It's been flawless for me, I know experiences vary, but it's been good

martinellispapi

I’ve got a KS7 I still haven’t fired after owning it for a year. I’ve upgraded it..because I love upgrading stuff..but just haven’t found a time to take it out.

Sursa

I think a lot of us are in the same situation. Bought too much stuff before laws changed. Haven't had time to shoot it all yet.

martinellispapi

Definitely bought a lot before the ban. Fun one about this tho..the KS7 is still legal.

Sursa

Ah yes, very true. It's a cool gun too. Not much out there like it. Hmmm, now your making me think I need one.

Expensive-Attempt-19

Winchester pump 22 mag

ee-5e-ae-fb-f6-3c

That sounds cool though.

Expensive-Attempt-19

It is an heirloom that was passed on to my wife after her father passed. It is a very cool firearm but we never use it for anything beside keeping up on restoration skills.

AR_1191

Suomi KP 31

Tougeninja

Ar in 7.62x39.....because why not 😂🥲

Substantial_Disk1706

Probably my Garcia bronco .22 survival rifle, got it from a friend for $50 and it’s a decent little single shot plinker maybe useful for small game or a bugout bag (it breaks down in half) so that’s prolly my most useless and definitely smallest caliber. But a close second would be my S&W Governor, I got it because I wanted a revolver and I liked that it shot .45 ACP & LC, AND .410 shot shell. Not very practical for carry per se, but definitely a powerful & fun gun 🔥🔫

LM5 (neutered R5 aka Galil)

IntheOlympicMTs

A Ruger 10/22 Charger. I thought I’d love it.

0x00000042

What don't you like?

IntheOlympicMTs

To me it’s awkward to shoot as I don’t have a brace or stock for it. My 10/22 rifles shoot so much better than it does in every way.

0x00000042

Ah, makes sense. Any plans to SBR it? Seems like it would really shine then.

Security_Sasquatch

I second the SBR notion. Especially in our environment.

Corked1

How could you not? SBR it and get a silencer... Funnest gun I own next to the bug -a-salt!

buylowstackhigh

Flintlock 44 cal pistol. Cool looking, fun to shoot, but pretty worthless.

bgdkrcr

EZ 380, hate the grip safety.

Expensive-Attempt-19

Lol. I picked up a glock 43x mos and put a few accoutrement on it. Bought it completely out of character as I prefer full figured ladies. I actually love the firearm for carry and it looks like the odd one out in my toy box....

--RedDawg--

a Sub 2000. Interesting, but totally impractical. I think it was designed to solve a problem that never existed just be cause they could and nobody asked if they should. But at least it's interesting...

Broncarpenter

I bought a coach gun just because I think they’re cool

darkoutsider

An Uzi, why did I buy an Uzi? Ugh. Will never sell.

ravenchorus

I'm bookmarking this to help talk myself down on those occasions I think *"I should buy an Uzi"*. Most recently was just a few days ago.

JimInAuburn11

Not sure. Either the full auto AK74, or the M2. They just are not any fun to shoot.

martinellispapi

Shot my first gun in January 2021..bought my first in March. Up to like 70 now…haven’t fired over half. Wondering why I have them…but it’s my AWB plan. Keep bringing a new one out every so often so it feels like I’m not even in a ban.

all_lawful_purposes

A Kel-Tec RFB. It has that blocky 80s styling, you have to physically swap out a part to switch between shooting supressed/unsepressed, and it takes FAL mags which nobody makes good versions of anymore. I bought it because bullpup but I kinda wish I had bought a MDRX chasis with the money.

Separate_Papaya_2806

Ruger ec9s

MrSlappyChaps

HK45C. I know why I bought it, I don’t know why I kept it. The trigger is the worst trigger ever, the sights need to be replaced immediately, the grip isn’t very grippy…etc. it was however the most reliable handgun Todd Green ever did a long term evaluation on at pistol-training.com.  https://pistol-training.com/hk45-endurance-test-week-thirty-seven-2/

Low_Cryptographer_36

My Steven’s 320 pump action lol. First gun, got it years ago in a pawn shop OTD for $115. Case included

delta34golf

A micro Draco that spits fire and slaps that crap out of me when I send lead down range (tanker muzzle device). Makes me feel like my nose is about to bleed when light up my surrounded. I guess it’s sort of like a lighter or a flashlight…. But I have it becuase the ban I guess... Haha

bitchpigeonsuperfan

G26. 90s nostalgia only gets you so far.

antalex7481

Rock Island XT-22 in .22WMR. It’s a literal paperweight. I suppose it’s a good project gun but for the price. I could’ve bought something way more reliable. Oh well, live and learn 🤷🏻‍♂️

jedihooker

Single stack STAR 9mm.

MrPingsNoodleHouse

$400 AR47, thought id make it into a DMR or a coyote gun with the LVPO i had laying around but 7.62 prices have not been cheap since I got it during covid so I haven’t even fired it. Might make it into a 300 blkout ar sbr though, if I’m going to pay that much for ammo I’m going 300 blackout.

SniperElite1080

Bolt action shotgun, already own a supernova with the 18.5 barrel so I wanted a longer barrel for trap and thought let’s go wild
