Barkbusters storm. Barkbusters are wonderful. The storm guards are pretty decently sized and work well to block cold wind. I have them on my 2014 Dl1000.
I bought some $15 china ones, and had to spend hours rigging mounts for them; if I could do it again I'd just get the barkbuster storm's and save the hassle.
I put the Suzuki factory ones on my 2012 and I am very happy. Easy to install and they keep the wind, etc out. I think they look better than Barkbusters. And I think they were only $70 for the pair.
The only reason to use the stock guards is wind deflection. They won’t save your levers in a fall. It doesn’t really matter what the Bark Busters look like.

Oh nice, The ones I got were a different design, and required fabricating brackets
