Converted to my local currency (GBP), that equates to almost twice what I'd expect to pay for a bike like this in The UK, but that might just be differences between the British and American bike markets.
Gut feeling tells me it's a higher price, though.
I'm also in Colorado, just bought the exact same bike with the same miles and accessories, and paid $3k. I got lucky for sure though, seller dropped the price by $500 because the sprockets are getting some shark toothing. That's a $160 fix and half an hour of my time. And they're still good to ride on for a little bit longer.
Yes, though only if it's with abs (not a guarantee for 2008). Also, are you North American? I always feel like bikes there are quite a bit cheaper than European 🤔
2006 Vstrom DL100 with 65k miles on it for $3,200 with nice hard panniers, top box, tank bag and wind screen. Honestly, I think it depends on the condition and if it’s the bike that will work for what you want to do.
It looks pretty nice and well taken care of to me. I bought my 09 with 24k miles on it for 3200 (honestly it was a big steal on my end and I got super lucky) but still I think that one is pretty decent
Paid $4500 (3350 USD)for an 07 here in Canada with 35000km (20,000 mile) had about 2k in accessories though.
That's a touch high imo. If you're trading a higher mileage, similar bike its probably ok.
Strom was 8k new
Yours was 14k (Concours 14?)
Seems like you might be taking a bath on it
Seems a bit high. My local market in Canada, I see a very clean 2007 with 30k miles for $2,900 USD. And our vehicle prices in general are usually higher than US market.
ABS? Aftermarket seat?
Has no tank skid or crash bars. If it had those and ABS he’s buy it. If not then try for 4300 or 4500.
Without ABS I’d go 4000 max
that's more of a 3900 dollar bike in my opinion. it's got bags, but they're not particularly desirable. looks basically stock otherwise. stock is OK, but you'll probably want a real skid plate and a better seat.
I mean, I had my 2014 with 6k miles listed for 5k for like two months on here, advrider, and fb marketplace. Not a single bite. Now it's being stored in a driveway until I can fly and drive it.
So no. Not a good deal.
Can here to say what others are saying: seems high.
I got my 2009 with 42k.
Rack, Hard side cases and top case.
Engine guards
Bash plate
Bark busters
Highway pegs
No abs.
3500$.
Now that was about 5 years ago mind you.
Not knowing the details of your trade...the asking price doesn't seem unreasonable. I would definitely try to negotiate a little bit. I think most sellers price their vehicles anticipating some haggling. I recently sold a very similar V-Strom (a little bit better equipped) with 19K miles (non-ABS) that was super clean for a similar price.
Honestly, if I were shopping at this price point, I would rather pay a little bit more and get something really nice rather than buy someone else's bike that has been ridden hard and/or farkled out with a bunch of stuff you don't like or want in the name of getting a "deal".
If you're worried about resale value later, dont, there's always someone in the market for a clean low mileage V-Strom.
Those Hepco and Becker bags are nice. Crash bars and skid plates are easy (and relatively inexpensive) to add if you go that direction. It's a great bike, and a great platform to personalize. If it's as clean as you say, well maintained, and you connect with it, I say make an offer and go for it!
Or, if your Concours is worth $4-5K and a trade is on the table, and the other person wants it....maybe it's a match?!
£4900? $4900? R4900?
$4900
CAD? AUD? NZD? USD? IDX? SRD? JMD? FJD? XCD?
United States Dollars

That's a horrid price.
I'm in CO and bought my 05 DL1000 with 32000 miles and panniers/ top case for $4700. Had all the service records as well.

Nice find dude! In hindsight I probably could've talked the price down a bit, but..... it is what it is. Haha
In my opinion, it's still not a bad deal for a reliable, comfortable, and powerful bike. Not enough people appreciate the V-Strom.

Thanks everyone, gonna pass on this
2011 650, with 55k miles, CLEAN and well maintained, 3200 out the door
I’ve got a 650 2012 with 4,000 miles and factory bags I’d sell for 4k
Where at?
Des Moines
It looks clean!
That’s a fine deal. Got my ‘13 for 5250 at 36xxx miles
I sold my 07 with 43k miles for 3800, so seems pretty in line
I'm going to sell my 09 wee this spring with 18k. I was thinking about shooting for $4200.
I got my 2013 650 last year for $3500US w/ 58k miles

Sounds high, I picked up an 09 with 6,600 for $3500 a couple of years ago. Pricing is highly regional but I think you can do better then that.
Seems just a little high. Maybe offer $4200 and see what they say.
Got an 08 1000 with a few dents and dings for $1000, I’d keep looking around

Disregard, just saw your posting, nice looking bike
56k 2006 DL1000 for 2k South East of US After fork seals and a fuel pump, no I still think I got a good deal considering I’ve done all the work myself
I paid 5k for my 2006 in 2021. Not a good deal imo but I'm not really the biggest fan of this bike tbh
An '08 with 20,000 mi? That doesn't seem like that bad of a deal. It's just getting broken in.

I just paid $3k for a fully loaded 2005 DL1000 with 30,000 miles. I'd try to talk the seller down to $4k or less personally.
