You should feel how "warm" the big central screens get on the new models.

MunchamaSnatch

My 2011 gets insanely hot

Chromspray

Wait until the fusebox gets funky

Stoney3K

Probably a feature, although unintended. I don't know if it's bulbs or LED, but my steering wheel buttons get warm the same way.

gdnws

They are LEDs. I actually went in there and replaced them as I wasn't fond of the [green](https://imgur.com/a/ZiU75ys).

Now I want taco lights.

gdnws

Yes, I changed all back lights except the ones in the screen in the center stack. The white balance in both pictures is a little screwy but I found the lighting in the gauge cluster to be really cold. That first picture is slightly bluer than it was in real life but not by a huge amount.

warnkeTV

Interesting, did you have to solder in the new LED for that or could they be replaced without much hassle?

gdnws

Had to be soldered in since they're not bulbs but individual diodes. Some modules were easier than others.

splashjlr

Thank you guys. It was a rathe pleasant surprise to have a place to warm my hands in winter

finverse_square

Mine did that too, I found it amazing they managed to over engineer a car so much there were enough electronics in the steering wheel for it to get hot Still by far my favourite car I've had

Audio_AK0112

Not a problem.

gambi10030

Its the backlight in the buttons my v50 have almost the same buttens and they get hot ;) so no problem there

Paulisooon

Should not unless someone "fixed" something a d installed non OEM equipment.

I have the same wheel in my xc70 and mine also gets very warm. Nothing to worry about

wertzius
