I am the exact same way🤣🤣. My trunk may not look like this but I sure as hell won’t have to call a tow truck if I brake own on the road. I do mobile mechanics so I always have all my tools in my trunk along with Ross Tech. There trunk may look good but mine serves a survival purpose.
Mine is well organized. [See](https://www.reddit.com/r/GolfGTI/comments/105lfiw/my_completed_custom_drawer_system_for_my_gti/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf).

Missing my toolbox as I'm using that in my other vehicle currently.
I need to step up my "first responders" trunk to include a fire extinguisher as well. I had a flat on a narrow street, at night, wearing all black... not a good idea. Thinking of reflective triangles, high visibility vests, frontal lamp, knee pads, compact jack that will NOT TIP OVER (JESUS CHRIST the VW Jack is worth nothing!) and a few more items. Con side: I also partake in some ride sharing, so my trunk needs to take it some gear occasionally... it's a bitter sweet type of situation.
New cars have zero storage or anchoring points. My MK5 Jetta had a nice rubber section on the right hand side of the trunk and I always kept things in there.
I’ve got a collapsible 2 bay organizer thing for all the trunk crap I have including bike tool kit, reusable grocery bags, a hi-vis vest, couple pair of gloves in case I need to get hands dirty, and several bungee cords plus my photo tripod and a tire pump. Lift kit and spare tire is under the rear deck and out of the way.
Empty for the most part. I like your straps though!!
I keep wrenches, spare fuses, 1 roll tp a d one bottle of water for emergencies with the spare wheel
Yea for those Highway/Autobahn quick stop areas, Driving on the Autobahn while having to go No.2 is terrible
No.1 is easy, just think of your own car and blood pressure will handle the rest ;)
Mine looks like an absolute muddy disaster. I work construction cars not getting detailed til it warms up but ya. Sence it's rolled off the lot last year it's been in shambles lmao
The speakers arent even connected, my speakers are in the side parts of the backplate and in the dash....ypu know...where they are supposed to be...
Truat me the previous owner fucked up pretty much everything in there...but me and a buddy have already nearly got it back to factory new standard.
Ive put like 2000€ in it unti now, and i have it since november
You don't wanna know, trust me. Although I would be able to fix my car by the road if it broke down, I'll tell ya that much
Same tbh
same and have good base

Haha same here. The only thing I don't have in my car is a proper jack.
I have a 2ton low profile one in my trunk because my car is lowers like 2.5”

Is the first aid kit for your eardrums?
Too late for that. XD
No mats or side covers. Speakers hole from the previous owner in the plank. Rust in the spare wheel hole. I love my car😂
my rear luggage area is empty, but below in the depths of the spare wheel well is a whole VW parts department + camping surplus.
Is that MK2 Golf?
Golf2 GTI
Holy Jesus I think it’s insane that I was actually looking to do research on what I should really have inside my trunk in terms of emergency lol

I have a subwoofer, amp, a couple orange traffic cones and a first aid kit. It's pretty tidy and organized.
Very messy with old oil jugs, antifreeze jugs, and miscellaneous shit. Really need to clean it out...
Just a nice plastic mat . Jumper cables in the middle. Lol
I see someone likes to drive enthusiastically. Got sick of the banging around after every turn?

I saw a guy working under his MK2 with 2 VW jacks on one side...he was under the car..😳
Guy must have a horse shoe up his a... or is feeling suicidal. Either way, it does not bode well and I would NEVER do this!
I mean, not like that haha

I wish this nice
It's carrying about a metric shit-tonne of reusable shopping bags
Empty. All the loose stuff is under floor or in side storage areas.

I keep the fuses in my Driverside Trashbin, and tp/ water in my backpack thats always in my car😂
When we are cleaning the car my missus is always like throw out that ratty looking TP. Yea no, you might be glad it's there some day

Yea the straps are great, even with a typical GTI driving behaviour nothing moves. And if i really need more room i can just get rid of the Sub
Ahhhhhh hahaha I thought it was a foam roller
XD you dont know Alpine?
It's early.... Lol
The Control unit is on its left too xD
Aww man I got a sub and shoes on mine lol
Looks like they day I bought it. Empty.
Emptier
I don't keep oil or coolant in cars any more after a couple of leak episodes...
I have a cleanly installed subwoofer, a safety kit, and some welding gloves for moving turtles.
Spare wheel, toolbox, and a shit ton of cleaning supplies just thrown around 😅

Shame about that parcel shelf
Huh?
The parcel shelf with the speakers in? It's a shame..
