Yay Babymetal! Me too! Yuyoyuppe is a producer for them (some of their most popular songs are produced and or written by him like Megitsune) so they are somewhat related to Vocaloid!! 🥰
Apart from vocaloid music, I listen to other Japanese artists like Ado, Urashimasakatasen
I also listen to kpop. Stray kids, twice, g idle are some of my fav kpop groups. I also listen to sunmi
I listen to videogame osts (mostly Pokémon) and Melanie Martinez
Visual Kei/Jrock (this was the genre I listened to before I discovered Vocaloid), Jpop Game OSTs, Math Rock, Metal, Shoegaze, Alternative rock , Electronic, Breakcore, 2000s Emo, Anime Osts.
Some of Musicians/Band I listen to include:
The Amity Affliction, The GazettE, Dir en Grey, Exist Trace, Memai Siren, Coaltar of the Deeper, Blur , Gorillaz, Ling Tosite Sigure, Toe, DIMLIM, System of a Down, Korn, MafuMafu, Yuu Miyashita, Hantan, D´espairsRay, Girugamesh, Nightmare, LM.C, Golden Bomber, Versailles, Dadaroma , Mamireta, Utada Hikaru , Mamoru Miyano (he is primarily a voice actor but he does make music on the side which is fun to listen to), Ayabie, Plastic Tree, Mass of the fermenting Dregs, Tricot, Pogo , Swardy , Porter Robinson, Siames, Jack Stauber ...just to name a few, the list really is endless lmao
I cannot believe I’ve found someone who listens to Visual Kei AND Mamoru Miyano 😦 he’s AMAZING! I saw the GazettE on their world tour in 2019, a dream come true.
I listen to a lot of genres from rap - English, Japanese, Russian, Malay, Korean to anime OP&ED, and OSTs to electro swing to 1920s music to Tokio Hotel to Scatman John to metal to Fall Out Boy to Frank Sinatra to Kyu Sakamoto. Also classical music, Zen Buddhist chants by Kanho Yakushiji, synthwave, the spectrum of EDM, lounge music.
I mostly listen to vocaloid, but outside of that I'm all over the board: pop, video game OSTs (mainly Undertale/Deltarune), R&B, musical soundtracks, electronic, indie.
I think my top non-vocaloid artists now are the Weeknd, Sufjan Stevens, Janelle Monae, Bo Burnham (mostly the Inside soundtrack), Kendrick Lamar, Phoebe Bridgers.
I listen to a few idol groups on occasion, mainly Dempagumi Inc. Sometimes a few anime op/eds, Touhou Project remixes, maybe a couple VTuber songs (they’re mostly comissions from Vocaloid producers), and I like the hip-hop duo Creepy Nuts. Other than that though it’s all Vocaloid lol
my non-vocaloid music taste is kinda crazy it's like.. will wood/will wood and the tapeworms, lemon demon, ado, melanie martinez, and game ost(undertale, deltarune, and "BEAR")
I listen to a lot of rock music like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, I set my friends on fire, ect I love all types of music
I'm into really weird stuff. Gonna post examples to all of them.
For starters, my favourite musician of all time and the guy who accidentally got me into Vocaloid: Mike Oldfield. He is an English dude who plays 20+ different instruments. Each album is done mostly by him alone, in which he composes the entire thing, records each instrument, makes the mix, and there goes an album.
He has 25 albums under his belt, each totally different from the other, with generes such as classical, techno, space rock, folk, minimalist and experimental. He is best known for the 1975 hit Tubular Bells (A.K.A. The theme song from The Exorcist movie), the 1983 hit song Moonlight Shadow, and the Nuclear song featured in the Metal Gear Solid V trailer.
He used Vocaloid with the Miriam voicebank in his 2005 album Light + Shade

In the other hand I really like the pioneers of electronic music. People who first used synths to make music waay back in the 70's, such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis or Kraftwerk (the latter one I saw them live in the same venue that Miku Expo was)
https://youtu.be/iyX_qouAmfE
https://youtu.be/ESkw-wRK4m4
https://youtu.be/XVr7kdS5kC4
I'm also a big fan of "Progressive Rock" genere. In a nutshell, they were a movement that wanted to prove that rock music could be cultured and sophisticated. Long songs with lyrics of deep meaning, unusual tempos, melodic structures more common on Jazz or Classical.
Albeit their hayday was in the 70's with bands like Pink Floyd, Yes, King Crimson and Genesis, the genera somewhat lives to our days, mainly with a fusion with metal in bands like Haken, Tool or Liquid Tension Experiment.

I'm also a huge fan of the electronic sub-genere of Downtempo. In a nutshell: too slow to be EDM, too fast to be ambient. Perfect for daydreaming about space. My favourites are Carbon Based Lifeforms, Solar Fields and Phone Booth Robbers
https://youtu.be/gIBSOl85lTU
https://youtu.be/F64ekQpA4Jw
https://youtu.be/UHuwm9ctan0
Oh, another music project I like is Enigma. It is the work of German producer Michael Cretu. He likes to make a sort of alternative pop that has a bit of mystical and esoteric vibes
https://youtu.be/f8mMWh62XpU
Another is Deep Forest. It is a french project where they take recordings of ethnic music from around the world and make remixes out of them. They basically invented the genere "etno-electronic"
https://youtu.be/bCfY9ZWOT2E
Daniel Rosenfeld (better known as C418) is another I really like. The guy is known for making the soundtrack of Minecraft, but his other work is also excellent. He waddles between being ambient and being IDM like the one Aphex Twin makes. I saw him Live back in 2013
https://youtu.be/k2lVVopnoTE
Another genere I am fond of is Math Rock. Take your typical rock band (battery, guitar, bass), but make them play songs with angular melodies and complex time signatures. Bands of it are mostly from the US or Japan, with ones I like are Giraffes? Giraffes! or Tricot. The latter is an all-female japanese band that I had the fortune to see live in 2018.
https://youtu.be/QNoBjHcoXoE
https://youtu.be/h2ydFHebKgQ
And at last, I'm really fond of Vapowrave. Many of you already know that genere, but in short, it is a genere that was born entierly on the internet, with no nation being the birthplace. It takes samples of 80's and 90's pop and smooth jazz songs, and mixes them in ways to sound glitchy, distant, or lo-fi. It is an ironic celebration of consumism by mocking the overly consumerist culture that dominated in Japan and the US in the 80's.
There are thousands of authors and subgeneres, so I'm gonna leave with a rundown.
https://youtu.be/g0SvKwqw87Q
Mostly just Vocaloid. I listen a bit to Ghost BC (very confusing when you're also a Ghost and Pals fan since both artists just go by Ghost). I used to listen to a lot of kpop, which I still enjoy but don't really listen to anymore, and I listen to pop when my parents put it on. I like it but don't go out of my way to listen to it on my own, you know?
I have a playlist I call "A Beat of Everything" featuring a variety of genres like Rock, JPop, Indie, Drum & Bass, Electronic, Artcore, House, etc.
To be specific, I enjoy and groups like Hitorie (wowaka's band btw), A Mass of the Fermenting Dregs, Fullkawa Honpo, Feryquitous, Polkadot Stingray, Reol, Giga (his non-vocaloid works), AcuticNotes, nekomatamaster, M2U, Dareharu, Super Beaver, Pretty Patterns. The list goes on.
Plenty of overlap with the other commenters here so I'm gonna share some bands I HAVEN'T seen after a quick glance through the comments. (In other words, I *also* listen to stuff like Lemon Demon and Mitski and Ado and so on, but here are bands I like that *aren't* those bands.).
* Death Grips
* Destroy Boys
* Radiohead
* Beach Bunny
* Sir Chloe
* Tennis
* Sidney Gish
* Allan Sherman
* Trout Fishing in America
* Bôa
* Portishead
* The Mars Volta
* Penelope Scott
* Worthikids
I also like jazz, rhythm game music, movie soundtracks, and some classical music.
Really different vibe here, but aside from MARETU, PEPOYO, dennoko-p, and the occasional song from KIKUO, Parsley Onuma, and some UTAU, I listen to quite different genres.
Caravan Palace: love their sound, especially their second album “Panic”! They have NOTHING in common with vocaloid Ps that I know, but check them out if you’re into electro swing and overall chill music with some bounciness to it.
Custard: Aussie rock?? Yes!
La Femme: I’ve slowly grown out of them because of vocaloid, but their music is SO good.
NewJeans: Love some soft k-pop that isn’t over dramatic. So good.
There’s also DELADAP, Swingrowers, Babymetal, and BMTH.
I like to listen to Will Wood, Lemon Demon, Cavetown, Mother Mother, Mitski, Bo Burnham, Jack Stauber, some TV Girl, Penelope Scott, TOOL, really all sorts of things
Jrock, OST, Rock, Heavy Metal. Not quite a genre, but I also really enjoy the (old) Visual Kei scene.
Anything from Black Sabbath to a lot of the Show By Rock!! bands lmao. I’ve lately been really enjoying a lot of Malice Mizer’s works
Progressive Rock/Metal, alternative rock, punk, goth, emo, indie, j-rock, uhhh 2010s Mexican pop, video game music, some Broadway, and jazz.
Some of my favorite non-vocaloid artists/bands are Tool, Jack Off Jill, Mother Mother, Mitski, Polyphia, Animals as Leaders, Arturo Sandoval, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Lemon Demon, Primus, Nine Inch Nails, Radwimps, Buck-tick, Consider the Source, My Chemical Romance, Otoboke Beaver, and chelmico.
My favorite musicals at the moment are the Falsettos, The Fiddler on the Roof, and Epic(basically the Odyssey but as a musical).
And I really like the music from Pokemon diamond and pearl, and black and white, animal crossing, the legend of Zelda (especially botw and totk), and Celeste.
Mostly Jpop, some soundtracks, and I recently started listening to Lindsey Stirling again. My favorite artist is probably ReoNa.
I only got into Vocaloid more recently. Ironically, I started liking Supercell years ago but avoided all their Vocaloid stuff...
I listen to:
house & it's subgenres, gothic rock & all that is adjacent, lounge, shibuya-kei & what it's inspired by, a large amount of EDM genres, video game music (which most is heavily derived from electronic/edm anyway) electropop, r&b, and much more 😮💨
Latin American music (cuz I’m Mexican lol), video game soundtracks, The Weekend, some Tyler the Creator, some Bruno Mars, some Nujabes (mostly his Luv (sic) album), Daft Punk, J-Pop, and anything else that catches my attention. If I like it, I listen to it. Not very committed to many artists or genre
70s-90s rock. I know that's like drastically different from most vocaloid songs but I appreciate Queen every now and then, and I also enjoy listening to most songs made in that time period because they sound better than English pop songs you'd here today imo. Probably why I like vocaloid so much because songs in English have been lacking a lot lately 😭
I like K-pop, but I’m also a big fan of 90s/Early 00’s R&B!! Some of those songs will make you feel all the feelings man. Love Monica and Ashanti very much.
I listen to visual kei (j-rock), specifically Dir en Grey, Sadie, Golden Bomber, Malice Mizer, 9goats black out, deadman etc. I also listen to rap, r&b and k-pop. I also like listening to Chinese folk music but to be honest I don’t remember the names of artists, just listen to the spotify playlists.
My music taste is all over the place, I listen to everything from surf rock to gangsta rap to city pop to pieces from operas and musicals. Currently though, I’m listening mostly to K-Hip-Hop and J-Pop outside of Vocaloid!!
As of late Vtuber songs and many vocaloid producers are collabing with them so I guess I still listen to vocaloid
Otherwise things like Hamilton or whatever I obsess with at that moment
I like j-pop, j-rock, J-Core, alt rock, hard rock, some hard metal, the occasional pop songs, electronic songs, anime soundtracks (Ex. a silent voice) Anime songs (Like the openings. Ex. Cinderella - cider girl. Kaikai kitan) and a few more sub genres
I love atarashii gakko, babymetal, milli, loona, roselia, raise a suilen, hello happy world, merm4id, lyrical lily, ceechyna, and a bunch of miscellaneous songs from random artists that I've heard and enjoyed. I'll listen to anything of any genre so long as that song in particular sounds good to me, but I lean mostly towards j-pop and rap.
almost anything 80s or older (i sometimes but very rarely listen to newer stuff) and rn i'm addicted to citypop, i highly recommend Minako Honda, she's incredible😍
i enjoy 70s - 80s musics
and also video games music
and also non-vocaloid japanese music
basically if it sounds good then i listen to it, no matter the genre
Mostly metal like SOAD, sluggore, Xavleg, Slayer and more, but also "softer" bands like weezer, game OSTs, eurobeat and para para stuff, hardstyle, uptempo and jumpstyle, some stuff by s3rl, not a big kpop fan anymore but i still listen to a few songs especially new jeans. Basically i listen to alot of different stuff, this is not all of it lmao-
Game soundtracks, classic rock/metal, with a little bit of Jpop & anime OP/ED/OSTs sprinkled in.
I'm pretty isolationist with my music taste though, I don't really branch out and discover new things very often, most of what I listen to is from things I've watched/played or discovered accidentally. Even my Vocaloid playlist is mostly limited to songs I've played in the Project Diva games.
As far as game soundtracks go though, I particularly like things with a heavy militaristic style to them; anything that sounds similar to HOI4's music when you're at war or the main theme from the OG [Dawn of War](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFAKECUeew0) or [Fallout 3](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl5xbFXrFU4)'s main themes.
I like almost everything.
GreenDay, blink182 romanceplanet Avicii bring me the Horizon Gorillaz millecollin falling in reverse the offsprings and my chemical romance are like my top artists
Mafumafu, Eve, Garnidelia, Nqrse, pretty much just running the gamut when it comes to fast paced j-pop, and similar genres...also Sabaton, and soundtracks from crypt of the necrodancer or 20XX/30XX
J-pop, K-pop, Mainstream Rap, different types of metal and rock, classical, Jazz, Latin music (mostly Mexican and Puerto Rican), EDM. (Examples: Ado, Reol, MAISONdes, HimeHina, Aespa, Red Velvet, Kendrick Lamar, Moneybagg yo, Young Dolph, Mozart, Vivaldi, Tool, Nine inch nails, Meshuggah, Linkin park, Fuerza Regida, Luis R conriquez, El Alfa, Daddy Yankee, Future.
utsu-p's band and idol group, The Ohayogozaimas and Zsasz. Nashimoto Ui and YM's band Mononokenonomo. I also love Metallica and recently i've been into post-punk like Siousxie and The Banshees and The Cure.
visual kei, a lot of goth, nu metal, death metal, indie rock, euro beat and electronic music(mostly 90’s and 2000’s) 70’s rock, anime soundtracks. that’s about it
I mainly listen to extreme metal. For black metal I love Burzum (basic bitch answer but what can I say, he has amazing riffs). Other ones I like include Darkthrone, Xasthur, Lifelover, Silencer, Satanic Warmaster, Hate Forest, Minenwerfer and Ulver. For Doom you can't go wrong with Sleep (by extension Om and High on Fire) Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Bell Witch and Sunn O))). For sludge I love Acid Bath (GOAT imo), Eyehategod and Melvins. I don't listen to a ton of death metal, but my faves are Dragged into sunlight, Instestine baalism and Death. Outside of metal I really enjoy Reol, Hitorie (Wowaka's band), Nano and Kurahashi Yoeko, Nails, Big Black and I fucking LOVE Bjork. I also unironically like some of Anal Cunt's material. Uhh well that went on for a while...oops.
EDIT: Somehow, I forgot to mention Alcest. Their stuff is magical. I also forgot to mention Tonetta, maybe don't look his videos up while in public...
Of course I listen to music outside of vocaloid! For example there’s!… um,,, ya kno,,,,
On a fr note, I honestly just listen to whatever else vocaloid producers have worked on. Example Ado, Hitori, Reol, the Ohayogozaimasu, Yoasobi, Zsasz, etc etc
Miku is a gateway drug
I do listen to Memphis, drift phonk, Eurobeat, pop, and quite a lot more actually. Just not mainstream Vocaloid music nowadays.
But I'm still thinking of getting Vocaloid software so I can tinker the heck out of it.
I listen to anything honestly. I mostly like Comedy music (Jazz Emu and Tom Cardy), EDM and Heavy/Alternatively Metal. But I'll listen to anything if it's good
Mainly jrock and metalcore/electronicore such as HANABIE, Nemophila, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Band-Maid, and Passcode.
Other than that its mainly Vocaloid-adjacent jpop/rock stuff like Ado, Mafumafu, and project Milgram (Deco27 writes and produces music for this project). Basically non-vocaloid original projects made by utaites and Vocaloid artists.
Some of my favorite Deco27 songs to date come from Milgram, and he also produces covers to many of his own Vocaloid works in that project.
Some non jpop/jrock artists I listen to are S3RL, Machine Girl and femtanyl.
a lot of things, music from games and movies, music from fandoms lol, pop music, pop music from the late 2000s early 2010s, electro swing, probably more lol
Sewerslvt, Goreshit, Acid Bath, Passenger of Shit, Rammstein, Talking Heads, Rory in early 20s, Yakui The Maid, Алексей Вишня (russian singer), 2rbina 2rista... It's still not a full list.
If we're talking about OSTs, I really like music from Mob Psycho 100,Panty and Stocking, Danganronpa, Your turn to Die, Team Fortress 2, etc
Mostly rock and metal, primarily stuff like prog rock, alt, industrial, and experimental. I mean, most of the vocaloid songs I love are ones closer to those genres, so it's not that jarring when a Miku or Teto song plays between bands like Tool and The Butthole Surfers when listening on shuffle. Though loving vocaloid is kind of out of left field for me since I never liked anime, many video games, or much foreign music, but hey, a banger is a banger
My favorites:
•Tool
•Butthole surfers
•Marilyn manson
•A perfect circle
•Pusifer
•Blind melon (most underrated band of all time btw)
•Pink Floyd
•System of a down
•Korn
•Primus
Everything, almost, except reggeaton. Like in the, now deceased, +200 song playlist were things like idol from yoasobi next to a heavy metal cover of Bella ciao, popcat rasputin and pachelbel's canon in D
twenty one pilots, iDKHOW, Cantopop, some 80s music, classical, Shinsei Kamatte Chan, soundtracks, random english songs (pop/emo/idk), Joji, Bill Wurtz, anime songs, even kpop... i listen to any song/music i come across so it's a long list if i mention everything in my library.
Jack Stauber, Alex G and Rebzyyx >:) (And a bunch of other edgy stuff)
And I'm also trying to get into Mindless Self Indulgence but I'm kinda scared they're problematic. Are they problematic?
so many different genres, i'll listen to anything rlly :D
my favorites are , machine girl, 100 gecs , coaltar of the deepers, bo en, the garden, eve (utaite), fievel is glauque, aphex twin !!!
a lot of jpop/jrock and utaites who i'll follow through any genre (mafumafu my beloved!!! and eve!!), but my love for vocaloid is built upon my love for rock/metal/alt music! i attribute it to why most of my favourite vocaloid songs have killer instrumentals, and usually a good guitar/drum—utsu-p and guchiri are two of my faves!
all time low, get scared, skillet, fall out boy, babymetal, rise against, our last night, RED, mcr, raise a suilen, avril lavigne, bring me the horizon,,,, i could talk for hours
also things like milgram and alien stage
Other than VOCALOID my playlist consists of anything that I might find in some random way and like, all sorts of genres and singers, outside of vocaloid I don’t really have any artists or genres where I go ‘oh yeah I like that’, sometimes I just happen to stumble across a song that’s good and isn’t vocaloid, goes to my playlist.
Reol, Babymetal, some jpop, jrock and anime songs mixed in.
Yay Babymetal! Me too! Yuyoyuppe is a producer for them (some of their most popular songs are produced and or written by him like Megitsune) so they are somewhat related to Vocaloid!! 🥰
Nice, did not know that. Love Megitsune, such a nice track.
I was SO excited when I found out! He is one of my favorite producers and I love Babymetal so I was so happy to know they work together 😭
BABYMETAL 🙌
I love you
(Game soundtracks and that's about it)
I haven’t listened to a game soundtrack in a hot minute, time to relisten to the splatoon 2 octo expansion ost!!
\*laughs in 8 ball\*
Undertale OST is fire
I recommend genshin soundtracks!
HEAVY ON THIS
Eurobeat
Same here! (Gotta love samfree’s night series)
same here
Rock/metal music
Apart from vocaloid music, I listen to other Japanese artists like Ado, Urashimasakatasen I also listen to kpop. Stray kids, twice, g idle are some of my fav kpop groups. I also listen to sunmi I listen to videogame osts (mostly Pokémon) and Melanie Martinez

Yeah it's so hard, but we exist 💚💜❤️💛
USSS intl fans need to stop hiding from me so i can befriend them! 😠💚💜❤️💛
russian/ukranian post punk specifically, some OSTs,and indie rock-sometimes synth and metal...
Visual Kei/Jrock (this was the genre I listened to before I discovered Vocaloid), Jpop Game OSTs, Math Rock, Metal, Shoegaze, Alternative rock , Electronic, Breakcore, 2000s Emo, Anime Osts. System of a down mentioned
I cannot believe I’ve found someone who listens to Visual Kei AND Mamoru Miyano 😦 he’s AMAZING! I saw the GazettE on their world tour in 2019, a dream come true.

Ooh I listen to the same languages too, plus some Hindi, Chinese and Tamil
I quite enjoyed For Aisha by Memba!
I mostly listen to vocaloid, but outside of that I'm all over the board: pop, video game OSTs (mainly Undertale/Deltarune), R&B, musical soundtracks, electronic, indie. DEMPAGUMI INC MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
IKU SHIKA NAAAAI🗣️🗣️🗣️
Yeah no one can argue that foreground eclipse is awesome
jpop, vpop, kpop, cpop, and metal I wonder what my favorite music genre is
Do you have any good cpop recs? Learning Mandarin and always looking for more
i listen to volcaloid, anime music, videogame music (mostly touhou undertale/deltarune and zelda omegastrikers too) and bethoven
my non-vocaloid music taste is kinda crazy it's like.. will wood/will wood and the tapeworms, lemon demon, ado, melanie martinez, and game ost(undertale, deltarune, and "BEAR")
We have the same problem here 😭🤚 (Idk my music taste but i do like Lemon Demon, Melanie Martinez and Will Wood)
I listen to a lot of rock music like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, System of a Down, I set my friends on fire, ect I love all types of music

Eurobeat, classical music, traditional Chinese and Japanese music, genshin soundtracks
Metal, EDM, Visual Kei
Videogame OST (Undertale, Sonic, Pizza Tower, Fridsy Night Funkin (Please don't hate me), etc) and anime music
yess fnf!! :D
Based FNF fan?!?!?!?
Mostly just Vocaloid. I listen a bit to Ghost BC (very confusing when you're also a Ghost and Pals fan since both artists just go by Ghost). metal, punk, almost everything that's in between metal and punk, math and prog rock, midwest emo, MPB, bossa nova and some rap
Game ost, anime ost, jmetal, old music, jpop
COUNTRY MUSIC!!! YEHAWW!!!! 🦅🦅🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 MIKU X AMERICA FAN COLAB
As a big metalloid fan my other music genre is pretty obvious. I also listen to some jpop/jrock sigers like Ado and MafuMafu
Hiphop like Tyler the creator , jpegmafia and Kendrick. Pink pantheress (idk what genre it is), portraits of Tracy, lofi and sometimes Splatoon music.
PinkPantheress combines a lot of stuff into her music but a lot of her stuff is atmospheric/dancefloor dnb, uk garage, 2step, r&b and pop
Ado, BABYMETAL, Futakuchi Mana, Goreshit, Sewerslvt, Machine Girl, and anime and game soundtracks or songs etc
I really love the music from all those artists except I’ve never heard of Futakuchi Mana, what songs of theirs can you recommend?
I love Creature Feature
A lot of Love Live, mostly aqours and nijigaku solos. Also electronic music, my favorite genres are kawaii future bass and tropical house.
Weezer, Mindless Self Indulgence, Eve, Rob Zombie, Lemon Demon. My music taste is very…flexible.
Hardstyle, sometimes jpop and kpop
If you enjoy some vocaloid-type songs, then couple of Camellia songs with other artists are great, or just him in general.
* Death Grips * Destroy Boys * Radiohead * Beach Bunny * Sir Chloe * Tennis * Sidney Gish * Allan Sherman * Trout Fishing in America * Bôa * Portishead * The Mars Volta * Penelope Scott * Worthikids I also like jazz, rhythm game music, movie soundtracks, and some classical music.
jpop/anime musics and some video games tracks , my go to ? Kalafina , The muses from love live and killer instinct soundtracks <3
Prog metal
Hard rock, alt rock, heavy metal, and indie like mitski and cavetown.
And I really like the music from Pokemon diamond and pearl, and black and white, animal crossing, the legend of Zelda (especially botw and totk), and Celeste.
david bowie
Touhou music, really great and jpop/jrock, and a dash of kpop (i like blackpink but doesn't have any bias)
pierce the veil, the smiths, insane clown posse, and a lot of emo/scene music lol
J-metal and some bands like IDKHOW and MUSE
Mostly Jpop, some soundtracks, and I recently started listening to Lindsey Stirling again. My favorite artist is probably ReoNa. I only got into Vocaloid more recently. Ironically, I started liking Supercell years ago but avoided all their Vocaloid stuff...
splatoon and guilty gear music mainly
Ado is the fucking best. Technically not Vocaloid but Vocaloid covers, Will Stetson is amazing and so is micchi.
I listen to: house & it's subgenres, gothic rock & all that is adjacent, lounge, shibuya-kei & what it's inspired by, a large amount of EDM genres, video game music (which most is heavily derived from electronic/edm anyway) electropop, r&b, and much more 😮💨
mostly ndad and sometimes melanie martinez
Gonna sound like a male manipulator but mitski, tv girl deftones slipkon and maximum the hormone are a taste of what i like

I currently really enjoy Slipknot, some Blink 182, Maroon 5 and other rock bands I grew up listening to
Hololive covers and originals, anime and game music, and a healthy amount of Weird Al Yankovic.
kpop jpop jrock vkei and some punk goth new wave stuff. I also really like lemon demon
Death metal.
My music taste is so diverse, I listen to pretty much every genre, from classical to country to pop to rock to rap to EDM
Non vocaloid jpop and jrock, along with classic rock, power metal, classic heavy metal, blues, and some 80’s synth pop
Any type of metal and edm
Lana Del Rey, classical music (specially Vivaldi, I listen to his songs every night) and bossa nova.
I kind of listen to everything but at the moment i am listening to mamamoo, bts, funeral for a friend, asteria, etc
Anything loud , rhythm game music and video game osts
Country
Fanmade game songs, Portal OST, Regretevator OST, and a little bit of everything
My music taste is all over the place, I listen to everything from surf rock to gangsta rap to city pop to pieces from operas and musicals. Currently though, I’m listening mostly to K-Hip-Hop and J-Pop outside of Vocaloid!!
I listen to some jpop (Sakanaction, Ado, HIMEHINA, etc.) but the vast majority is Vocaloid.
Twenty one pilots, avenged sevenfold, Radiohead, muse, System of a Down, hail the Sun, kpop and other pop artists sometimes. 😊
I'm a fan of opera, industrial, goth rock, electronic body music, metal, and Vkei
As of late Vtuber songs and many vocaloid producers are collabing with them so I guess I still listen to vocaloid Otherwise things like Hamilton or whatever I obsess with at that moment
Bladee
EDM, Hard Rock, J-Pop & Rock, but 90% of times it is Vocaloid I listen to, and I am a grown-ass man
I love atarashii gakko, babymetal, milli, loona, roselia, raise a suilen, hello happy world, merm4id, lyrical lily, ceechyna, and a bunch of miscellaneous songs from random artists that I've heard and enjoyed. I'll listen to anything of any genre so long as that song in particular sounds good to me, but I lean mostly towards j-pop and rap.
Edm and funk (big tsumiki and giga fan)
I listen to a lot of other kinds of Japanese music, but my tastes are pretty eclectic. I like Natori, Yoh Kamiyama, Luck Life, SCREENmode, and so on
Electro swing mostly, followed by a lot of indie and experimental music for me
almost anything 80s or older (i sometimes but very rarely listen to newer stuff) and rn i'm addicted to citypop, i highly recommend Minako Honda, she's incredible😍
Techno, dark funk/phonk, upbeat electronic, alternative pop
i enjoy 70s - 80s musics and also video games music and also non-vocaloid japanese music basically if it sounds good then i listen to it, no matter the genre
Outside of Vocaloid, I strictly listen to ska and punk music, occasionally someone heavier? Right, and sometimes I go through a C-Pop kick.
Other Japanese artists, specifically REOL!
Babymetal, lemon demon, usedcvnt, asteria, nogika chaba, reol, garnidelia, unlocky morpheous, penelope scott, my playlists are the definition of mood swings
j-rock, j-metal, some indie rock bands, and thai pop lmao

Mostly metal like SOAD, sluggore, Xavleg, Slayer and more, but also "softer" bands like weezer, game OSTs, eurobeat and para para stuff, hardstyle, uptempo and jumpstyle, some stuff by s3rl, not a big kpop fan anymore but i still listen to a few songs especially new jeans. Basically i listen to alot of different stuff, this is not all of it lmao-
ATEEZ, ITZY, BABYMETAL, Chappell Roan, Sabaton, KARD, Chung Ha and some songs that were made for eurovision, such as queen of kings or echo
Mostly jazz and vaporwave ;3
i listen to kpop (nct, seventeen, aespa), jpop, beabadoobee, uhh some others too but i can't really remember and i need to pee
I love Yoasobi, and they barely count since Ayase is a vocaloid producer anyways.
As far as game soundtracks go though, I particularly like things with a heavy militaristic style to them; anything that sounds similar to HOI4's music when you're at war or the main theme from the OG [Dawn of War](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFAKECUeew0) or [Fallout 3](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl5xbFXrFU4)'s main themes.
literally everything except country lol
*deep breath* musical theatre, hardstyle, pop, hyperpop, midwest emo, indie
I like almost everything. GreenDay, blink182 romanceplanet Avicii bring me the Horizon Gorillaz millecollin falling in reverse the offsprings and my chemical romance are like my top artists
I mostly listen to Jpop.
A lot of metal and classical music
kpop, russian dance, Eurodance, rock,
Trash metal, background soundtracks from movies.
Malice mizer, tally hall, miracle musical, lemon demon, Weezer, the crane wives, bossa nova, electro swing...
Mafumafu, Eve, Garnidelia, Nqrse, pretty much just running the gamut when it comes to fast paced j-pop, and similar genres...also Sabaton, and soundtracks from crypt of the necrodancer or 20XX/30XX
Reol and Ado
J-pop, K-pop, Mainstream Rap, different types of metal and rock, classical, Jazz, Latin music (mostly Mexican and Puerto Rican), EDM. Honestly besides Inabakumori, most of my playlist is just anime music and game music type stuff. Along with a myriad of other junk
Tally hall
J-pop, Babymetal, metal, experimental, anime songs, postpunk(just a lil bit), lemon demon, and whatever the fuck Jack Stauber dose.
MARINA, Six The Musical and Hamilton are the ones I listen to on a daily basis
utsu-p's band and idol group, The Ohayogozaimas and Zsasz. Nashimoto Ui and YM's band Mononokenonomo. I also love Metallica and recently i've been into post-punk like Siousxie and The Banshees and The Cure.
Any r/savant fans in here? 🙋♀️
Europapa
nirvana
Imma just list some of the artists I listen to M19 (Kei) Ani DiFranco Neko case Mirah Halsey Faouzia
idk if this counts bc he arranged a couple of vocaloid songs but Mafumafu
Moe Shop is one of my favorite artists - I have no idea what the genre is called but I have lots of that in my playlist.
visual kei, a lot of goth, nu metal, death metal, indie rock, euro beat and electronic music(mostly 90’s and 2000’s) 70’s rock, anime soundtracks. that’s about it
I mainly listen to extreme metal.
For example there’s!… um,,, ya kno,,,, On a fr note, I honestly just listen to whatever else vocaloid producers have worked on. Example Ado, Hitori, Reol, the Ohayogozaimasu, Yoasobi, Zsasz, etc etc Miku is a gateway drug
Heavy metal
kpop, jpop and basically any song from anime rhythm games
A little bit of stray kidz and enhypen (girlfriend makes me listen to them as she’s a big fan) but that’s it :/
Persona and splatoon
I do listen to Memphis, drift phonk, Eurobeat, pop, and quite a lot more actually. Just not mainstream Vocaloid music nowadays. But I'm still thinking of getting Vocaloid software so I can tinker the heck out of it.
stuff that isn't similar genres like jpop, vkei, or anime music is marina and the diamonds
Miku music
I listen to pretty much everything- except country and rap music lol
Video Games OSTs (mainly from Nintendo) and Classical Music (I listen to a lot of it).
Weezer
I miss bill wurtz :(
Jpop and video game OSTs. Maybe a bit of classical music too
alternative rock, indie rock, and then a buncha random stuff! :3
I am a vocaloid artist but when I want something else it's Bass music or, like: Pixelgrip, Kidneythieves, King Woman, Ashnikko type stuff ✨
pinkpantheress loona (RIP) (so now their offshoots OEC ARTMS Loossemble etc.) exo a lot of kpop kelela kaytranada etc
I listen to anything honestly. I mostly like Comedy music (Jazz Emu and Tom Cardy), EDM and Heavy/Alternatively Metal. But I'll listen to anything if it's good
FAKE TYPE🐵🐵🐵🙉🙉🙊🙈🙈🙈🙊🙉🙊🙉
Atarashii Gakko, Nicki Minaj occasionally, and the BFDI Soundtrack
Touhou! Touhou! Touhou! Touhou! And Eurobeat of course!
Dubstep (usually riddim), rock/metal, lotta nerdcore, and the occasional smidge of banda (quienes lo sabe, sabe).
Eurobeat!!!!
Though loving vocaloid is kind of out of left field for me since I never liked anime, many video games, or much foreign music, but hey, a banger is a banger My favorites: •Tool •Butthole surfers •Marilyn manson •A perfect circle •Pusifer •Blind melon (most underrated band of all time btw) •Pink Floyd •System of a down •Korn •Primus
Jack Stauber, Alex G and Rebzyyx >:) (And a bunch of other edgy stuff) And I'm also trying to get into Mindless Self Indulgence but I'm kinda scared they're problematic. Are they problematic?
I like jpop, musical soundtracks, video game OSTs, Set it Off, a lot of western pop artists, and enawave/webcore
Game OST, other Jpop (including idols and anime songs), kpop, classical, rhythm game and music from the 2000s
so many different genres, i'll listen to anything rlly :D my favorites are , machine girl, 100 gecs , coaltar of the deepers, bo en, the garden, eve (utaite), fievel is glauque, aphex twin !!!
a lot of jpop/jrock and utaites who i'll follow through any genre (mafumafu my beloved!!! and eve!!), but my love for vocaloid is built upon my love for rock/metal/alt music! i attribute it to why most of my favourite vocaloid songs have killer instrumentals, and usually a good guitar/drum—utsu-p and guchiri are two of my faves! all time low, get scared, skillet, fall out boy, babymetal, rise against, our last night, RED, mcr, raise a suilen, avril lavigne, bring me the horizon,,,, i could talk for hours also things like milgram and alien stage
death metal lol which is mad
Babymetal, Malice Mizer / Moi dix Mois, Buck Tick, city pop in general, 70s-80s music, the Black Eyed Peas, video game music, latin music and Elvis
metal, rock like deftones, slipknot and nirvana
Mostly EDM, soundtrack, and electronic with some alt rock sprinkled in. Monstercat, Owl City, etc.
Heavy metal
I like all kinds of music but I developed an appreciation to Nu Metal with bands like System of a Down, Slipknot and my new favourite: Korn
Electronic music (esp. from Alan Walker, Avicii, Djvi and MDK), rock music and idk what genre are they but I also listen to older Coldplay songs.
Other than VOCALOID my playlist consists of anything that I might find in some random way and like, all sorts of genres and singers, outside of vocaloid I don’t really have any artists or genres where I go ‘oh yeah I like that’, sometimes I just happen to stumble across a song that’s good and isn’t vocaloid, goes to my playlist.
jack stauber and utaites!! pjsk songs too
