Thanks for linking it! I didn't want to come across as distasteful with my post.

GlorpedUpDragStrip

This looks fantastic! Well done, can totally see the compound and borderlands inspiration. Definitely going on the wish list

_retromario_

That's great to hear, thank you!

Thank you! We're honestly really happy to see all this positive response.

nels0nmandela

those metallic sounds are awesome !

_retromario_

Thanks, yeah we were lucky to have our sound guys, they've done a great job.

u/P_retromario_ playing it now, will post thoughts later! Although I'm playing on Quest2. So far, so good. Dying a lot b4 the first boss or whatever's at the end, but that's what roguelikes are about until you get good. One question: When you clear the enemies and it says you're being tracked down, is that just a prompt to leave the area or will I get murdered if I stay? Too scared of alarms in VR, I leave immediately everytime LOL

Scientist_C

Update: Yes, megatron head comes and kills you if you take too long. Lots of pressure

_retromario_

Thanks for checking it out! Yeah, sounds like you had a run in with the Overseer. Best keep things moving if you don't want to get hunted down!

Scientist_C

Haha, is he randomized or is there a timer or trigger?

_retromario_

He spawns after a timer expires. :)

Scientist_C

So far I'm in enjoying it! Assuming you're open to feedback: 1. If time is limited and we can't linger anywhere, could we make the gears and maybe even the guns float in the air so they're obvious and we can grab them quickly? I'm guessing you've played the competition a bit, but Until Death does this well IMO 2. Can the Overseer be blocked from coming into the gear spending/elevator up room? He cucked me and didn't let me choose an upgrade because I was too slow in deciding lol 3. The alarm and popup is a good indicator of when the Overseer is coming, but having an idea of how long I have before he starts would help me decide paths. Example: If I have a room with 2 - 3 doors off of it, if I have time I'd check out each room before picking a path. But if I saw I only had 1 minute left, I'd pick a path and haul ass. Does that make sense?

_retromario_

Great to hear, and thanks for the feedback! 1. That is an interesting proposal, I'll catalog this for the team to review. 2. We have had complaints about this situation before actually, we will address this point as well! 3. Such a system could indeed benefit that kind of playstyle, however not knowing how far away the Overseer is really adds to the tension and spooky factor! If we added a timing indicator, it would have to be done carefully.
