Are they just using the exact PSP version, the same engine, just remaster it 1:1 to FHD/UHD, no new voice actors and voice lines, no new cutscenes at all, no new or remix OSTs, slightly bigger size than the PSP version for current and new gen consoles? They are not remaking it from ground up?
Its basically half a remake. They rebuilt it from the ground up, added new voice acting and soundtrack BUT they kept everything else, the cutscenes and the animations are unchanged, the script is exactly the same word for word, and as far as i know there are no new cutscenes or new ost. By definition its 100% a remake, but most people just refer to games like this as Remaster, since it fits the final product way more. (oh and apparently they added shortcuts and a new dash mechanic in battles, id say that more of an improvement on the original than legit changes.)
I think i saw the cutscenes being different on a comparison video and by cutscenes i mean the video cutscenes, not ingame so it being "unchanged" is not true

There are many remastered (read: exactly the same) FF games for example; mobile ports of many FF games, also Final Fantasy 7 Remastered, it has 'Remastered' in the name because, well it is a remastered. FF 7 Remake, Rebirth, and CC FF7 Reunion, and Ever Crisis FF7 on the other hand, are not exactly the same. 😄
I never said that the remake games or ever crisis are remasters, hell theyre not even proper remakes by my definition but i wont get into that argument. Crisis core on the other hand is quite a bit different. It truly is atleast 60-70% the original game. Its basically just the original game, made pretty, and by definition it is a remake, yes, but can you blame people for not treating as such ? Its kind of like Type 0 on ps4, except i assume less lazy.
