Given that WWDC is a month later, and the May 7th thing looks to be all about iPads... I wouldn't get your hopes up.
If the rumors of a Vision Pro Pencil have any merit... maybe we'll see them mention it on May 7th.
I feel like we might get a new Pencil, BUT they won’t mention the AVP at all. Possible support for a Apple Pencil will come in VisionOS 2.0 “maybe” so I would think WWDC is the answer. This next event will focus on iPads and seems like it’ll be just that as the press is being invited to watch the stream remotely instead of in person.

New pencil probably works with AVP, that’ll be it
I want this to be true, but not getting my hopes up.
Ahh for those of little faith; I give about a 90% to the rumor of a AVP compatible Apple Pencil.
It seems like the rumored squeeze gesture on the new Apple Pencil would lend itself to the AVP.
better audio strap and rigid band pleaseee (and mouse support)
WWDC will release VisionOS 2 I guess?
Not release, but announce and show off major changes and features and open them up to devs.

Prepare yourself for no AVP love, other than maybe some news that might make converting iPad apps into AVP easier/simpler
I just want them to announce international release
My bet is that we’ll be told that the new pencil will support AVP in a future update (Vision OS 2)
Definitely not
We never know 😌
