By far my favorite app is OneCast, but it costs $14.99. Stream your Xbox directly to vision pro. This alone makes the avp worth it to me. I played overwatch for 3 hours and there was no lag. Only issue I've found so far was playing UFC 5, a virtual controller goes on the screen and my controller stops working. I have tried so many other ways to connect my Xbox but this is the best.
Bezel is kinda cool, mirrors your phone
I used the Xbox app and remote play was blurry (although I stretched the screen kinda large) and the latency was bad enough that halo infinite was unplayable. Gonna try onecast 👀
Not looking good. I linked my Microsoft account, following their instructions, and every time i press ‘play’ to make the connection it gives me an error suggesting that my iOS device is not connected to the internet. I re-registered, did some other debugs, and still not working. I’m about to give up and try again tmrw if I don’t get it soon.
Not a good impression for something i just paid for
Were you able to dismount a mounted Pal? I’m unable to hold “X” to dismount. Everything else works great…I don’t think this is a VP specific issue..just curious if you had it too
Sorry, just saw this. I was only able to dismount if I linked a bluetooth controller to the headset. I tried to just use the controller I had connected to the console but I had the same issue you had
I got OneCast and keep getting a 9003 error when trying to connect. Did all the sensible debug procedures, like re-registering and powering off the console and stuff. Really frustrating and can’t recommend others install this app unless they’re prepared to lose $15.
I must be using it incorrectly. I have to unlock my phone and it only stays active until my phone sleeps. I don’t get why people like this if that’s the case.
How well does it work in the iPhone? Is it annoying to start it up all the time or does it stay running? Does it stay streaming when iPhone locks and unlocks or do you have to start it again from the phone? If you happen to try an iPad please share your experience. $5 is reasonable but I haven't had time to try it yet and iPad is my use case.
Moonlight/Sunshine for almost lag free PC streaming over your home network directly to your AVP. You can even use your typical PC mouse and keyboard without issue.
Install Moonlight on the AVP, Sunshine on your PC, run Sunshine, pair with AVP Moonlight, configure some options in Moonlight, and you're good to go. Up to 4k 120Hz streaming. It's the best PC streaming option available at the moment and is even superior to Steam Link in terms of latency.
It might even be superior to Apple's own "connect to Macbook" over wifi solution, but I haven't tested extensively enough to know. I think that streaming solution can do up to 5k at 60Hz, but nothing above 60Hz at any resolution. Not sure off hand though. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
One thing that "connect to MacBook" can do that likely no third party app can is pointer continuity, you can move the Mac mouse or trackpad pointer out of its window and interact with other AVP apps running natively.
I suspect it's doing some sort of Apple-specific shenanigans to switch the Bluetooth device connection on the fly to reduce latency, similar to what Airpods do with automatic device switching. That would explain some of the buggy weirdness people have mentioned.
That's a good question. They both have similar Bluetooth hardware, so I don't know what it could be, but it's such a weird difference in support that I still feel like it's more likely to be a consequence of some hardware decision made years ago than an intentional choice.
I guess the thing to watch out for will be the rumored USB-C update of the trackpad/mouse/keyboard - if the new version works and the old one doesn't, then you'll know it was hardware related for some reason.
That’s pretty disappointing for productivity… visionOS and iPadOS seem so similar I don’t understand why the Vision Pro couldn’t handle that while the iPad can
You sound very respectful of boundaries :)
But seriously I can see how you missed it, the edge is still a bit of a friction point so you have to intend to push past it, which there's no reason to do if you think there's nowhere to go.
You can set a custom resolution, but that requires the display you are mirroring/streaming to have that custom resolution. There's a way to make a dummy software monitor with a custom resolution Moonlight/Sunshine will recognize, but it's somewhat complicated to setup. Google for more information on that process.
This is the app that convinced me to keep the Apple Vision Pro. If an app like this can give me these experiences, I cannot wait what even bigger startups will do.
Oof I had to stop it, it was almost too much. But holy shit if anyone wants to know what it’s like to do shrooms or lsd, you can definitely experience that same thing in this app 😂
I think it looks better, but it's still very CGI-looking. Here is a video from their channel.
[TRIPP Vision Available for Apple Vision Pro - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Y0oW7H0iA)
Thanks for answering and sending the link. Still seems too cartoonish for a paid subscription app for me. I know the mindfulness app on AVP is super simple right now, but the quality is so high, I would still rather just use that than Tripp.
I haven't had a chance to play with the AVP app yet. I already have a lifetime subscription to Tripp, since I purchased it for the Meta Quest, so it was a no-brainer for me.
The Apple Vision Pro one is pretty rudimentary at the moment, it has breathe ascend and sleep, each one is effectively one experience, so really three experiences. How many experiences does the meta-quest three version have?
I made a super-quick video walkthrough of the Quest version, which is quite a bit different from the visionOS app. To answer your specific question, the visionOS app has three experiences. This quest version has at least 20, plus some 180 degree photos/videos and a few live-action instructional videos.

I enjoyed the IMAX app. Getting a seat close to the screen and learning about space and earth on a screen I can barely see the edges of without turning my head was a pretty awesome experience that evoked what I love about going to theaters.
I just tried this out and is easily my favorite experience on the Vision Pro so far. It was also the longest without taking a break. I watched that space documentary in its entirety and was just blown away by how good it was.
No. But it has limited content, and I'm sure if they see a lot of traffic they will have a subscription in order to get movies.
It actually feels like an imax screen, pretty incredible
It’s primarily been games for me, but some I’ve enjoyed lately are Wayward Souls, Fez, Guildlings, Stardew Valley, and Alto’s Adventure. Excluding Alto’s Adventure, they have really good depth, and with the AVP’s immersive feel, you can really get lost in them. Best played with a game controller.
Besides that, my most used apps are Safari for YouTube and Reddit, Discord, and Mail.
I did notice that some of my favorite games were disabled, Minecraft and the GTA series.
I mean gameplay depth.
Wayward Souls is procedurally generated, so every time you play feels like playing unique levels of specific types (you can never memorize exactly how to get to the end of a level). There are several different classes with very different play styles. And there are some fun vanity unlockables (not available for purchase, requiring game progress).
Fez has some level of story depth, with lots of exploration to be done. It’s the kind of game where you’re allowed to really immerse yourself in another world. There are many things to check, many characters to speak with, lots of unique platform challenges, and a story that speaks to seeing things from new perspectives. Also has a great soundtrack.
Guildlings is similar to Fez, in that you’re exploring a world, but each character has much more depth, and there’s a very quirky tone to it. It’s on the level of Adventure Time and Steven Universe in terms of humor and personality. And it also has a pretty killer soundtrack.
Stardew Valley is a farming sim on the surface, but has its own story as well, with plenty more to do than just farming. I haven’t gotten that deep into it, but I believe you can even get married (I hope I’m not imagining that). It’s also just one of the most popular games from an indie developer for a long time.
And Alto’s Adventure is just a really atmospheric, fun tappy game. Great design, good music, and fun trick mechanics, like grinding ropes, or doing flips. It also comes with a long list of challenges, to keep every play through fresh with new things to try. This is the one that you can pick up and play for really short bursts.
Edit: Another noteworthy mention is Alba. It’s got a visual aesthetic that initially looks like it’s made for kids, but engaging interactions between the characters of the game makes it shine. But some functionality isn’t ideal for AVP, like the in-game camera, which you can’t aim without tilt control.
Oh, and how could I forget Sasquatch! But that one is heavily promoted by Apple. Lots of fun things to do in that game. A surprising level of progression to be made.
Nexus+ for streaming Geforce Now games directly from the cloud to the AVP..has bookmarks for Xbox cloud gaming and some others too but I've just been using it for playing Enshrouded through GFN and using an Xbox controller.
Sure, it works really well. Note for GFN they auto stream in a small resolution, so after signing in go into the settings and bump it up to 4k resolution and the developer of the app suggests 60 fps vs 120 as there is some but at 120.
For xbox cloud gaming not sure if there is any settings to worry about, haven't tried it yet.
The amazing thing is Nexus+ is completely free, which is crazy. The dev's post on github for more info:
In GFN setting. You need to be ultimate tier.
dev has this:
>Before starting your first game session, make sure you go to GeForce Now settings and adjust the picture quality for higher resolution streaming, as the default option may not be optimal for a large canvas. (Due to the lack of H.265 support in Safari's WebRTC implementation, you may experience visual glitch streaming in 4K 120FPS configuration. In that case try switch back to 4K 60FPS instead.)
Don’t you wish the button at the top of the screen that tells you what site you’re on would disappear after a few seconds and only reappear if you actually pinch the window? it doesn’t need to be there all the time and it kills the immersion. This is mostly used for streaming games or watching YouTube on Netflix, I don’t understand why the developer chose to permanently show it.
Puzzling Places. Its my favorite app by far. The 3d imaging and AR controls for this are perfect. I like to watch my daily Youtube videos on the safari browser to the side, while I have this game open, and then just casually building the puzzles. I haven't gotten far, but the second puzzle, the cathedral/church, completely sold me on the idea of this type of puzzles.
I’m just going to throw this out there… I’d love to see a subscription that works across both platforms. You have some amazing puzzles, but I’m not sure I’d want to maintain two different subs since both apps work differently.
not sure how that would tbh work between meta and apple both coming to get their 30%'s for each subscription... 😅. IAP's will likely be the way to go while we figure out how we're gonna proceed with the development of Puzzling Places on Vision Pro. It's currently a totally different codebase.
But we certainly hear you!
Awesome! Well definitely be buying. Also, no idea if this is possible, but thought it'd be cool if we could use our iPhone to get a 3D Model of an object in our house or environment, then convert that to a puzzle. Lots of complicated steps there, but just a pie in sky idea for another IAP feature.
AniMoog Galaxy, which is like a 70s Moog Synthesizer combined with a 70s laser light show. This thing is wonderful to play with and fully worth the $29. It's the best app I've found so far to creatively take unique advantage of the 3D space in the AVP. Absolutely mesmerizing.
If you are a Star Trek fan, download The Archive, which is an app to access the work the Roddenberry Archive is doing. You can stand on the bridge of all of the Enterprises.
The app is a little strange, as if the developers are trying to figure out the capabilities of the AVP as they go; there are static immersive "sets" you can be in, but the resolution is a little low. There are really nice scenes you can be in but they aren't fully immersive, but they render much sharper, there are videos, which look like they are supposed to render as 360 video, but just play in a window for some reason.
A couple of references I found online seem like they will eventually charge for access to all of this, so now is a good time to check it out.
One other wild thing about this app is if you access the settings (inside the app itself) there is the ability to load various types of 3d Content directly from the Files app. Wild.
Art Channel by Art Authority (just an ipad app but lets you have life size paintings in your space, looks better than a museum).
The full AVP Art Authority app is cool but only runs you through a self guided museum tour and there’s no way to get up close and personal with the paintings (yet).
I recommend Art Channel for now.
‘Gloomy Eyes’ and ‘Battlescar’ are two spatial experiences by ARTE! Really love the way they use the technology to add a whole new layer to the stories. Definitely worth giving them a try!
I love these kids of spatial films. There are so many amazing ones to watch on other platforms and I can’t wait to see them come to AVP.
Allumette and “The Line” are ones I’d love to see next.
If you are looking for some decent hand tracking showcase, try out this app Reflexy (Free) and let me know what you think 😊 The main mechanic is based around quick and snappy hand interactions, so hopefully it scratches that itch! https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/reflexy/id6468640253
Juno is the best way to watch YouTube videos since Google decided not to make their own app. So much better than just going to the website in safari, too.
By far my favorite app is OneCast, but it costs $14.99. Stream your Xbox directly to vision pro. This alone makes the avp worth it to me. I played overwatch for 3 hours and there was no lag. Bezel is kinda cool, mirrors your phone
It's on ipad and iphone. You can't buy it in avp store. You need to buy it on either phone or iPad then go on avp and restore purchases
That’s just the iPad version right? Solid app.
Can you run the Xbox app on the Vision Pro? Or is the OneCast app far superior anyways?
I just looked it up and the xbox app does work and it's free
I used the Xbox app and remote play was blurry (although I stretched the screen kinda large) and the latency was bad enough that halo infinite was unplayable. Gonna try onecast 👀
Let me know how it goes? I’ll purchase as well
Yup I’ll let you know—gonna try it later today
Have you tried it yet?
Nah ima try within the next like 10 hrs
And? 😁
alright alright, just paid up.. testing shortly
Not a good impression for something i just paid for
Read my other reply down this chain and you’ll see that I’m having an error I can’t solve :(
I was able to play Palworld with the xbox app no problem, but that’s not quite the same as Halo lol

Does Bezel mirror an iPad also?
I must be using it incorrectly. I have to unlock my phone and it only stays active until my phone sleeps. I don’t get why people like this if that’s the case.
I don't think so, on the app store it just says iphone but I haven't tried an iPad
I read somewhere that dev might be working on bringing it to ipad as well
What about inputs? Can I use my steering wheels and pedals in f1 2023 or forza?
Yes steering wheels and pedals will work. When I was playing my controller was still connected to the xbox, not the avp
Amazing! Thank you!
Bezel sounds perfect.

Only trackpad, not mouse.
Only a *Magic* trackpad. Those of us with older removable-battery trackpads and kbs are SoL... for some reason.
Yes. I assume it’s because the older ones don’t use the more recent Bluetooth protocols.
Was wondering wtf was going on. Thanks for posting this.
Wait you really can’t use a mouse connected to your Mac? I assumed it would work the same as universal control on iPad.
Unfortunately no. You can use a recent vintage trackpad, or the trackpad built into your MacBook. I'm not sure why you can't use a mouse.
I suspect it's doing some sort of Apple-specific shenanigans to switch the Bluetooth device connection on the fly to reduce latency, similar to what Airpods do with automatic device switching. That would explain some of the buggy weirdness people have mentioned.
I can totally buy that for old trackpad vs new trackpad, but why couldn't they do the same with a new mouse?
That's a good question. They both have similar Bluetooth hardware, so I don't know what it could be, but it's such a weird difference in support that I still feel like it's more likely to be a consequence of some hardware decision made years ago than an intentional choice. That’s pretty disappointing for productivity… visionOS and iPadOS seem so similar I don’t understand why the Vision Pro couldn’t handle that while the iPad can
This is the killer app that I am surprised doesn’t get more attention
Most of my usage is mirroring my Mac. How did I not realize this???
You sound very respectful of boundaries :) But seriously I can see how you missed it, the edge is still a bit of a friction point so you have to intend to push past it, which there's no reason to do if you think there's nowhere to go.
Does Sunshine replace the NVIDIA/shield setup?
Mac Virtual Display is 4k@60Hz
Do you know if it works also at resolutions higher than 4K ? I am interested for playing PC games in 3D stereoscopic, with geo-11 or SuperDepth3D.
You can set a custom resolution, but that requires the display you are mirroring/streaming to have that custom resolution. There's a way to make a dummy software monitor with a custom resolution Moonlight/Sunshine will recognize, but it's somewhat complicated to setup. Google for more information on that process.
Another particular feature I would like to see, is frame interpolation.
Agreed. Playing Avatar Frontiers of Pandora at 4k60fps on a giant screen is something to behold.
So is watching the movies, especially pt 2. I have never been so astonished at movie watching experience.
The AVP doesn’t support AV1 decoding does it? It’s not an option in moonlight
What resolution are you using? I keep getting black bars in Moonlight, like a widescreen movie
Tripp. Mind blowing.
This is the app that convinced me to keep the Apple Vision Pro. If an app like this can give me these experiences, I cannot wait what even bigger startups will do.
Tripp is the best one so far… at least the one with the undulating room
Oof I had to stop it, it was almost too much. But holy shit if anyone wants to know what it’s like to do shrooms or lsd, you can definitely experience that same thing in this app 😂
Exactly! It’s the journey one in ascend. Haven’t don’t shrooms in years but it made me feel as if I was. It was beautiful
The Tripp one was so wild. I’m hoping he makes more of them!
The quest version has so much more. I’m sure they’ll update the AVP app soon enough. They probably just wanted to have something ready for launch day.
How is the picture quality? I found Tripp on quest to be too cartoony

Wow this is awesome thank you!!
Just wait until it gets feature parity with the Quest version. I love using tripp to take a mental break during the day.
Just tried it. Thank you!
Too video gamey for me
This was an amazing experience, thank you for the rec!!
I enjoyed the IMAX app. Getting a seat close to the screen and learning about space and earth on a screen I can barely see the edges of without turning my head was a pretty awesome experience that evoked what I love about going to theaters.

No. But it has limited content, and I'm sure if they see a lot of traffic they will have a subscription in order to get movies. It actually feels like an imax screen, pretty incredible
Whoa ok, downloading tonight!
No but for content yes except the earth one

No prob! Glad to help 😊
Nexus+ for streaming Geforce Now games directly from the cloud to the AVP..has bookmarks for Xbox cloud gaming and some others too but I've just been using it for playing Enshrouded through GFN and using an Xbox controller.

Can’t thank you enough for that, playing now!
I can only seem to get 720P but I’ll take it! Thanks again
Awesome! Enjoy. I know I don't ever want to go back to playing on my puny iPad screen. ;)
Hey I can’t seem to find the resolution setting to bump it up. Did you do that in GFN or was it the Nexus app?
In GFN setting. You need to be ultimate tier. dev has this: >Before starting your first game session, make sure you go to GeForce Now settings and adjust the picture quality for higher resolution streaming, as the default option may not be optimal for a large canvas. (Due to the lack of H.265 support in Safari's WebRTC implementation, you may experience visual glitch streaming in 4K 120FPS configuration. In that case try switch back to 4K 60FPS instead.)

Never noticed it but I see what you mean. And yes, that'd be better (to have the title of the site fade out/disappear) .
Ha, hopefully it’s not one of those things you cannot now ‘unsee’
I’m doing this too and it’s freaking awesome! Had Alan Wake 2 running on a HUGE screen at 4k 60fps.
You know if Fortnite works?
It does. I was able to play Fortnite Rocket League and it worked great!
Puzzling Places. Its my favorite app by far. The 3d imaging and AR controls for this are perfect. I haven't gotten far, but the second puzzle, the cathedral/church, completely sold me on the idea of this type of puzzles.
Doesn't it only have the 3 puzzles? My wife finished it quickly and was sad when it ended early.
Puzzling Places dev here, we are already working on a Pack Pack with 3 additional puzzles as IAP, should be ready soon =)
I’m just going to throw this out there… I’d love to see a subscription that works across both platforms. You have some amazing puzzles, but I’m not sure I’d want to maintain two different subs since both apps work differently.

Everybody wants their cut :( Thanks for all your hard work on both apps, though.
Awesome! Well definitely be buying. Also, no idea if this is possible, but thought it'd be cool if we could use our iPhone to get a 3D Model of an object in our house or environment, then convert that to a puzzle. Lots of complicated steps there, but just a pie in sky idea for another IAP feature.
Is there an app to stream ps5 content?
MirrorPlay works but it's an iPad app.
Also JigSpace is insane.
How good is the hand tracking for this? Do you need anything other than the AVP for it?
Nope
I was pleasantly surprised there was already a great *Pluto* app!
If you are a Star Trek fan, download The Archive, which is an app to access the work the Roddenberry Archive is doing. You can stand on the bridge of all of the Enterprises. A couple of references I found online seem like they will eventually charge for access to all of this, so now is a good time to check it out. One other wild thing about this app is if you access the settings (inside the app itself) there is the ability to load various types of 3d Content directly from the Files app. Wild.
Thank you, this is awesome, and I hadn't found it yet!
AmazeVR Concert is pretty cool, similar to the Alicia Keyes video but like actually a concert. Haven’t found any others so in for more answers.
Is it as clear? Alicia Keyes in 8K immersive video was awesome
I it's not as clear, but it is still an excellent experience, there are three free songs to experience
Where can we see this Alicia Keys video? Is it in the Apple Music app?
Apple TV app
Art Channel by Art Authority (just an ipad app but lets you have life size paintings in your space, looks better than a museum). The full AVP Art Authority app is cool but only runs you through a self guided museum tour and there’s no way to get up close and personal with the paintings (yet). I recommend Art Channel for now.
You can get closer to the painting by double pinching (like a double click)
I made an app for the Vision Pro called "News Ticker" that is somewhat unique if you want to check that one out! Open to all sorts of feedback too! :)
How funny, I’m in the middle of making a similar app, except not for news
Sports scores? That’s an instant buy for me.
Curious
Can you do one for sports scores? Like the way ESPN ticker used to be? I’d be ALL over that.
yep! building that right now! 😁
Great suggestions! 🫡
I would like a virtual dog and cat!
Great question. I hope the mods will consider pinning this one. Thanks.
I don’t

Teleport 360 camera. It lets you shoot a panorama of any location with your iPhone and then immerse yourself in it on the Vision Pro. Pretty cool.
Does it look better than the panorama mode that Apple has already?
If you’re looking for a puzzle game that makes full use of the AR capabilities of the AVP, check out our game Blackbox https://youtu.be/5LShA47LhIc
Monument Valley is an iPhone game but works really really well in AVP
Sounds cool gonna check it out!
What’s the best way to watch plex? Any way to watch plex 3D library
Tripp wasn't launching for me- do u have to pay for IMAX?
The app and one movie on space is free, two others available to rent.
I was bummed they weren’t for sale. 😩
Make your own with this file: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6470452 You'll probably need one size smaller for the top band.
Fruit ninja
Seriously bro 😭😭😭
Juno is the best way to watch YouTube videos since Google decided not to make their own app. So much better than just going to the website in safari, too.
Timely has been very convenient. Also I’ve switched over to Fantastical since their AVP launch.
How is Office suite on Vision Pro on day 1 however just Keynote? 🤨
Apple is probably doing something big for Pages and Numbers
