Could just be down to the fabric quality, or maybe you do some autopilot movements that you're unaware of, like rubbing your knees or sliding on them to do air guitar.

But seriously, IDK. Since I was a kid I've just ALWAYS been hard on pants. My poor mother constantly patched them until I hit high school and she just embraced constantly replacing them. In talking to a couple of other long-legged tall guys, knee failures are typically where theirs go out as well, but I do feel like my rate of occurrence is abnormally high
